So this marks our third full year with the HV MECHANICAL SERVICES team. I can honestly say that there is not a single thing a person could have required done to their heating and cooling systems in a home that I have not had done in this house since purchasing it. To include a new chimney liner for a furnace and a new mini split in a converted garage. During my time with HV Mechanical I have found the company and its personnel to be extremely flexible, kind, and honest. For example, Heath identified a part listed in a new job for one of my projects that was not truly and instead of going ahead with installing the part they bought at their cost he left the component in place and reduced the cost of the project. I would never have known the difference. I trust Heath and his team with the upkeep of this house. Another time I had an issue with my AC unit and brought multiple people out here for a free estimate on a new unit. Instead of gouging me for a complete new AC unit Heath did a thorough examination of our system. Identified the issue and attempted applied the fix to the coolant tubing in an attempt to save us money. His fix has held for over a year. Every company has its faults, especially small business. HV Mechanical Services and their team do their best to ensure they provide you with the best service available at a reasonable cost.

I purchased a service membership with Home Climates for my Navien boiler and had Home Climates…read moreperform annual maintenance on October 12, 2023. I paid Home Climates $19.90 per month in a membership fee for annual service. Five weeks later, on November 22, the boiler stopped working due to an ignition failure. Home Climates came to fix it and billed us $289 to fix (see invoice). When I complained, they said I got a discount and if I wasn't a member, the service call would be $499. Actually I paid $528 for the call [19.9 x 12 months = $239 + the $289]. So what was the purpose of the membership and annual maintenance if not to ensure that the furnace will work through the winter? The part and labor for the igniter was guaranteed for 5 years per the invoice, but this was the second time in two years that they had to replace it. I never received a copy of the invoice for the first replacement and I had to request a copy of the most recent one on 11/27. The technician informed us that Navien told him that part should be replaced every 2 years, however, Navien tech center denies that. Even so, I question why it wasn't replaced on October 12, 2023. The part was covered under warranty! This boiler was installed new in January 2021 so it is less than 3 years old. I canceled my Home Climates membership after this, but I will hold them to that 5 year parts and labor for the spark igniter. Something certainly is wrong with their billing.

No corners were cut with ancillary equipment( the thermostat, drain pump and line set) were replaced with all new equipment. No high pressure sales approach. So I was left paying for a repair that either wasn't needed in the first place or didn't fix the problem they assured me it would. The last guy that came out (apparently one of the owners) was very snippy and sarcastic about the situation as well. I wouldn't recommend these guys to anyone since they bilked me out of thousands.
