We were having a huge family gathering and, of course, the air conditioning system went out. We called one company whose technician told us that the unit would have to be replaced, that there was no way to fix it. When we asked for a replacement estimate, he quoted $12,000! Finding that a bit exorbitant, we called Bowman for a second replacement estimate; Jake came out, looked at the unit for about 15 minutes, and within another half-hour the unit was up and running. When we asked for a reasonable estimate for replacement, he gave us a ball-park of $6,000-$7,000! Jake was polite, prompt, knowledgeable, and genial; we will certainly work with Bowman when we replace our system, and if we can get him, we'll ask for Jake to do the installation. I am very appreciative of his thorough inspection & written recommendations. I recently had my heating/ac unit fixed and was impressed with the professionalism, efficiency, and friendliness of Travis Duffy with G.F. Bowman. Travis was very nice and professional and communicated all necessary repairs clearly. He made suggestions for how to maintain the unit and was very polite in how he went about his job. I haven't had many repairs to compare costs, but I did not find any costs to be excessive and Travis made sure to go into detail about the repairs needed before I agreed to the invoice. All in all, this is a company I would recommend to homeowners and a technician that I would ask to return if I have any future needs. read more

I received a phone call an hour before their arrival, which is nice not having to wait around all morning or all afternoon. We had a problem with our Carrier Heat Pump Infinity System. It ended up being the compressor and luckily we were within our 10 yr. parts warranty. Carrier and Bowman's stood behind the warranty and replaced the compressor as well as other critical electronic parts in our condensing unit at the reasonable and customary labor cost. Three techs including Matt were at our home during the diagnostic process and each was courteous and professional. Had GFB install a new heat pump and hot water heater last year. Everything went great and the prices quoted were so much better than other quotes we received that a competing vendor told us it would be in our best interest to go with GFB.
