Omar always looks out for my yard. Fixes my irrigation when needed. When I bought my house there were two areas that were supposed to be grass, Omar fixed all that and now I have great grassy areas. I was pleased that the appointment was kept and on time. Price quoted was reasonable to me and the crew arrived when scheduled and the job finished on time and exactly for the amount in the quote. I recently used this company for some clean up work on my rental property. The owner came to my home, as scheduled, and provided me with an estimate of the work. I felt the price was reasonable to hired this company to complete the work. I have a large back yard that was really an eye sore, but it looked great after the crew was finished. I should also mention the clean up included the addition of a water line to all my trees. There have been no concerns with the install of the water line since the work has been completed. It frustrates me to leave this type of review due to the good start to the experience I had with this company and Omar. I left work to review my goals and expectations for the work being performed and future projects needed. We agreed that Chávez Lawncare would be able to address the concerns I had and would provide a quote. The first step was a clean up to get the yard back to a great aesthetic point and then more in depth projects could be addressed. I forked out $260 for general yard clean up with the removal of 1 bush and 1 extremely small palm. I had previously informed Omar that my top priority was cleaning up the rocks due to years of no one previously tending do this issue (we just moved in in april) he agreed that by raking and blowing this issue would look much better and have quite an improvement. I came home to the rocks not even touched and although the other basic clean up and haulaway had been addressed I was still left with the same untouched debris matted down into my rocks with absolutely no effort shown at all to improve the concern. I politely reached out and also included pictures of my concerns with the quality of workmanship and was met with a disrespectful and flat out rude remark in return. I hired a "professional" to help with my yard, forked out hundreds of dollars, and when something hadn't been addressed and I asked about it I was met with a lack of pride in workmanship and rude comments. The response I received was..."I'm afraid you are expecting something too perfect. Don't want to be appear rude. But we went above and beyond to deliver the best results possible. The amount of the debris that was removed exceeded anything I expected. This is what I was referring to when we had our conversation. It's practically impossible to remove every last bit of debris. My apologies if I didn't explain it better." 1.The "conversation we had only talked about how improvements could be made. 2. I can post pictures of any square foot you would like to see where absolutely no attempt was made to improve the quality of the rocks appearance. 3. I hired a professional to do a job and paid a premium to have it done. It sounds to me by this response that because the debris removed exceeded your expectation you decided ehh I'm done, that's all I'm going to do. Which sounds much more like laziness and poor work ethic... All I want is for the work to be performed at a level that represents the value I invested my money in if that cannot be attained then I suppose this will just stand as a review warning others of the possible issues you may encounter. read more

We had Omar back to add more drip lines - as before he showed up on time, reviewed the job site and jumped right in on the work. They were completed in about an hour. A bit overpriced for the services they provide. He has tiers where for like 80 bucks they'll trim back 20%. For 125 bucks they'll trim back 40%. There were times where it looked like they barely would touch the shrubs especially the lantanas. So I would do some pretrimming from time to time so they trim back more. Unfortunately it would not happen often where they'd follow through on their end of the deal. Found out through an email in my junk folder that they quit 2 months ago. Apparently they could no longer assist me in my landscaping needs as professionally as Omar could put it at 10 pm. Only thing I can think of is that my criticism touched a nerve when I would comment on a poor job. Think they need to realize criticism comes with every job when it's done poorly. They get all the weeds pulled not just sprayed, tree and bushes trimmed and pruned... They check my irrigation system and make sure it's set up correctly for the weather. We used Chavez Lawncare for the rental we were staying in. They were always very professional and did an excellent job. When we moved out of the rental they fixed the holes that my dogs had dug at a reasonable price. Unfortunately, they don't cover the area I live in now or I would still be using them. I used Omar for a front yard remodel. I had a bunch of stuff removed, fresh rock put in and new plants added. I reached out to him via his website late at night and had a response the next day. He came out promptly and quoted a very resonable price. He was very knowledgeable about the HOA rules in our area and was very helpful recommending the proper plants for the look we wanted. We feel fortunate to have Chavez LawnCare doing our yard's (front and back) maintenance. They are always so willing to accommodate our maintenance schedule even if we occasionally need to have it changed. Scheduling is a breeze and Omar's wife Grace makes it enjoyable. They have helped with multiple questions about our plants and palms. We have requested several times for them to assist us with purchasing new plants for the yard and then doing the planting. I had Chavez's maintenance service for a few years and they have always done a top-notch job. Omar does a good job on answering questions and explaining all the things he does. It felt like I'm getting a personalized service from them since they do remember you and the work they've done for you in the past. They were prompt in repairing all the damages caused by the freaky Arizona weather and I've also got them to landscape my backyard since they offered a competitive price.
