They came out on June 20th for an estimate. I was excited because they seemed to be a "one stop shop" . I was given a few random numbers on the spot, but told I'd receive an official estimate. On June 30th I called to follow up about the estimate. I spoke with Christy. She was extremely apologetic and seemed shocked that I hadn't received the estimate. She said they'd get it over to me that day. July 7th, called and spoke with Christy yet again about the estimate. This time, she rushed me off the phone saying they'll get the estimate over. Today, July 10th, still no estimate. This is not a company I'd do business with. read more

So I used yelp and found them. They quoted me for a good price so I had them come on over. They came over the day I signed the estimate unannounced and did the work without me even knowing they were there. They "cleaned up" the aloe and the bush and did a sub standard job. I had to contact them a few times over the next week to finally have them come back and finish the job they should have done initially. I got voicemails promising they would come Monday, they didn't, then another voicemail telling me Wednesday, they didn't. Then they finally show up unannounced on Thursday and finish the job Price is good for sure but reliability is trash. AVOID THIS COMPANY AT ALL COSTS! (I'd give zero stars if it was possible). Let me tell you about our experience with them. Back on 12/21/2023 we reached out and requested their services to maintain the front and backyard of our residence. They told us, "first visit is $290 and then it's $75 a visit every month after going forward. If you choose two visits a month, it is $60 a visit." Originally, we agreed to the $290 initial visit and then once a month visit. Well, fast forward to 2/2024, it's clear this company came in December but hadn't returned since (even though we agreed to them coming monthly). The front and backyard were a DISASTER. I called and asked why they hadn't been back to the home since December, and I was given lip service. They came up with all kinds of excuses. They told me they'd go to the home ASAP. In April of 2024, my brother stated, "our yard is the worst looking yard on the street, and it isn't even close." Hearing that, I called this company and told them what my brother had relayed to me, and the woman said, "we have y'all on the schedule for later this week." Well, that day came and went and they never showed. I called and asked why they didn't come to the home like they said they would and they again came up with an excuse. I told them that clearly only coming once a month wasn't enough, we'd like the (2) visits a month at $60 a visit. They sent an agreement and we agreed to it. They came out the next morning and "serviced" the yard. My brother, minutes after the company left, took pictures of their work and called me. It was more like, "lack of work" due to them literally doing nothing. Seeing the pictures he'd sent, I was disgusted. This company was coming to our home, charging us for work that wasn't getting done. I called the company multiple times to tell them the issue, but no one answered. (They have tried calling back numerous times, but we are so over them). On top of them coming and charging us, after I cancelled, they then had the nerve to charge us $75 instead of the $60 we agreed to. I guess that extra $15 is really needed. Then at 3:50pm they have the audacity to call and say they already came to my home earlier when I wasn't home and want to email an estimate. I asked the women how they could give me an estimate if they don't even know what I would like done? She didn't know what to say and was silent. When my husband and I purchased our home two years ago, the backyard was a complete disaster. A barren wasteland devoid of beauty and happiness. It made me sad every time I looked out the window. After finally saving up enough money, I began the daunting task of procuring a landscaper to do a complete overhaul. Some companies I called only did maintenance, some were not taking on new projects, and some companies I left messages for didn't even bother to return my call. We had our entire backyard landscaped from brand new dirt lot to beautiful with KOs, and we couldn't be happier. I outlined a plan with a patio island with a built in gas grill and fridge, pavers, plants, grass, irrigation, lighting and raising the wall between our house and our neighbor's. After needing to trench our front yard to replace our main sewer line in February, by June I had lived with a dirt yard long enough. Oh, and we were having a petting zoo party coming to our house in mid-July so we needed some landscaping pronto! After getting quotes from several companies off of Thumbtack and not being overly impressed with them, I turned to Yelp and found Eduardo and crew with KO's Landscape. He was knowledgeable, friendly, and had great suggestions for plants, etc. Pricing was fair and he and his crew were done when promised. We've since have had him back out to replace one plant that didn't make it in the heat, and to adjust the drips system as a few other plants weren't looking so hot. Easy peasy, no hassle. Having just purchased a new home and getting a pool put in, I went into our landscaping project on a strict budget ($6000) and with very few ideas. I initially asked 5 different companies to come out and give us some quotes and design ideas. Some had some nice ideas (but way to expensive), some took weeks to send out their bids, and others, well they didn't even bother showing up (I'm guessing because of our budget). Eduardo on the other hand, came out two different times (I'll explain later why) took measurements and sent us a bid, including itemized expenses and designs so we could visualize what our back yard could look like. The first time Eduardo came out I told him I wanted a walk way to connect our driveway through the side of the house and onto our back patio, landscape rock/gravel, some curbing, and an irrigation system (I was planning in on putting sod in myself at a later time). He came in right on budget. We decided to hold off on doing any work because I read in the pool contract, that when a pool is being constructed the pool builder is not responsible for any damage done to existing landscaping. Eduardo understood and never once pressured us or tried to get us to put down a deposit, this was in April. In July once were finally settled in the home and no more heavy equipment was going to be coming into the yard, we contacted Eduardo again to come to give us some new ideas. The idea for our lawn needed to change now that pool had been excavated and because the Mrs. wanted to have some input. This time we asked Eduardo, for stamped concrete to connect the drive way through the side of the house to our back patio, to build a retaining wall that could double as a gardening area, level, remove and haul away dirt from around the pool to add additional decking area, gravel, irrigation, curbing, and 300 Sq feet of sod. As you can see our demands doubled and so did his bid (rightfully so). We shared with Eduardo that our budget had not changed, he understood and instead he assisted us in determining what could be done first and what could wait. Ultimately, we hired his team to; complete the stamped concrete, build a retaining wall, and to level, remove and haul away dirt from around the pool, as well as add about 380 sq ft of additional concrete to the perimeter of our pool (the 380 sq ft put us $1500 over budget but we needed to do it so the pool fence could be put it.) Once we signed the contract (digitally) and gave a deposit of 50% (also online), Eduardo and his team went to work. During the entire process Eduardo stayed in contact, letting us know when his team would be showing up, what they would be doing and what we could expect. If you have ever had a pool put in you know their process is nothing like that. Anytime we had any questions or concerns, Eduardo was quick to respond. When we made last minute changes to the walkway, Eduardo understood made the changes we requested and gave us a new timeline for when we could expect the project to be completed. Eduardo reached out to us on 07/29 and told us our project was complete and if we had any questions. My wife and I decided to do a thorough inspection and raised some minor concerns and 1 major concern (crooked joint lines on stamped concrete). We took pictures of the issues and sent them to Eduardo, he thanked us for the visuals, so he could inform his team of what needed to be repaired and agreed to come out to our home to discuss the crooked joint lines. When we met Eduardo and his team, they took ownership of the mistake and did not make any excuses. The stamped concrete was repaired to their best of their abilities but it was evident that a mistake had been made. Eduardo agreed to give us a discount because of this mistake. Our project was completed on 7/31. The retaining wall and extra concrete around our pool is done and looks great. No project will ever be perfect and because Eduardo and his team took ownership of their mistake, provided great customer service, great communication and owned up and tried to correct their mistake I feel extremely comfortable giving them a 5 start rating and recommending their services. My grass yard was more weeds than grass and my drip system was more patches than pipe. I was over it and decided to get my drip system replaced and have artificial turf put in. I requested quotes from about 10 companies. About half were vague and high level (worthless). 4-5 companies took the time to come out in person. KO's stood out from there. Eduardo was by far the most thorough and trustworthy. He took the time to walk me through step by step his company's schedule, materials, and process. And in one day's time he got me an official written quote (that was very competitive!). Great service. Called and they came out and gave me an estimate to do a seasonal clean up on our front and back yard. They were competitively priced and scheduled the service for two days later. The transformation was amazing. The crew worked for at least 7 hours and did everything. They trimmed the trees and bushes, mowed the lawn, cleared dead plants and got rid of all the debris. We were so impressed we will continue to use them for regular clean up services and the seasonal reseeding of the lawn. Update: We did use them again for over seeding in the fall and again for a general clean-up and tree trimming this spring. The over seeding was well done and when we had issues they took a little while, but did eventually come out to fix the problem The clean-up this spring was not a good experience. The trees were trimmed as were some hedges but they left abruptly in the middle of the job with no explanation and when they returned the next day all they did was mow the lawn. Non of the shrubs were trimmed. No dead or dying plants removed. They left a pile of debris in our courtyard and never really finished the job. It is disappointing but I don't think we will be using them going forward. read more

We have not heard from him in over a week--no quote, not even a response to our text asking if he had the correct email. I called KO Landscaping because the landscaper I've used for the past seven or so years had started to become unreliable. At this point, my rental property landscape was looking horrendous and I needed work done ASAP. KO said they would be out to my property on that Saturday to give me an estimate and they could perform the work the following Monday. I told them I may not be able to take the call on Saturday, but they should leave a voicemail with the estimate. Saturday came and went, no call. Monday I called them because they still hadn't called me. Turns out they did not do the estimate at all. Long story short, it took several phone calls and follow up to get the estimate done, the work done, and even a copy of the bill sent to me. They do nice work, but having to follow up constantly is not worth it for me when there are other companies out there that seem to have it more together. We hired Eduardo and his crew to redo the landscaping in our front yard. We figured it would be quite the undertaking since our front yard is huge and basically all that was left of it was dirt. I called for an estimate and the response was immediate. Within a couple of days Eduardo was out at the house and the estimate was done within minutes. We had an idea of what we wanted ahead of time, but I know they do work with some designers if that is needed. Not only was it quick, but the bid was very reasonable. Our design includes rock, custom curbing and some artificial grass as well. Shortly after Eduardo left the house, we had been given colors to pick from for the curbing, and within a day, we had a sample of the artificial grass that we picked as well. The final bid was sent to us the following day and we were ready to get things started. Within the week, work began. The crew showed up early and stayed late. They went above and beyond to get things done quickly. The only thing that delayed us a little was an afternoon of rain. Even so, the work was done on schedule. Each day, everyone showed up on time, if not early. All of the crew members worked together like a well oiled machine and the project went off without a hitch. We can't think of a single complaint during this project. We needed a significant amount of rock to get this project done. We had gone to pick the color we wanted ahead of time and Eduardo had no problem with us ordering the material on our own and arranging our own delivery. We handled the ordering and the crew handled the install. We weren't forced to use a certain supplier or locked into that supplier's pricing, which is the best thing of all! Way too big for me to maintain grass, especially in the summer, so KO's worked with me to install a nice wide gravel perimeter to mitigate some of the hassle of maintaining grass. With excellence in mind, KO's Landscaping service knocked me out! It's especially rare to run across such quality work, the kind of work that inspires one to do more. KO's Landscaping is that kind of company and remains truly in a class by itself. Product: They were kind enough to clean up a 10,000 square foot property on short notice, and proved especially thorough while weeding, repairing the irrigation system, trimming several tall Ficus and queen palm trees. Their cleanup was pristine. I also tried to "stump" the owner with lots of detailed questions, but he had sensible responses to all of them. People: The crew was large, on time, and all about business. What would have taken me at least a week alone, they completed in no time with a professional's touch that I couldn't match. KO's Landscaping surely logged their 10,000 "expert hours" evidenced by the finished product. One caveat, it seems that Eduardo is the premiere contact person for English. Spanglish may be helpful if you're strictly working with the KO crew. Process: Headache free. I did not have to make a percentage payment up front. Eduardo had his crew show up on time and manicure my landscape with future maintenance in mind. Impressed, I paid a premium for his services. Ultimately, I recommend KO's Landscaping without reservation, and trust you will be impressed with their rates, work ethic, knowledge, and experience. Very nice guy came out to the house and offered a very realistic quote to take care of the front yard. Was on time and professional. This was a Tuesday. Said his crew would be out Friday between 9-11. Shook his hand said great see you then. Friday between 9-11 has come and gone. No call no show. I didn't bother calling. I'm not going to beg someone to maintain my yard. I've taken care of my yard myself for ten years. Was looking forward to letting someone else help me with it. Meh, oh well. I'll just do it myself. We recently moved to AZ from ND, and needed some general yard cleanup and maintenance done in our new home. Eduardo is one of the few people who responded to me via e-mail (I'm not a phone person), and was able to quickly schedule an estimate appointment. He showed up promptly, and took notes on my extensive list of items (tree trimming, remove a small palm, weed removals, palm trimming, bush trimming, removal of old landscape materials, irrigation repair). Once we were done, he sent me an estimate via email VERY shortly after. The price seemed great to me, so I scheduled for a few days later. The crew showed up close to the window and got straight to work. It was about 3-4 hours of work, and when they left I was completely happy with what they did. The MANY weeds we had were all gone, grass mowed and edged, and all the bushes/plants looked healthy again. I was only planning to have them do the one time cleanup and have them back maybe 2-3 times a year, but I'm considering every month or two now! Oh, and after the work was done an invoice was emailed to me. I can't tell you how much I appreciate a company embracing technology (I'm a bit of a IT nerd). We purchased our new home at the end of last year, based on Yelp reviews I had Eduardo come out to give me an estimate for a yard clean up. $600 later the yard looked much better and he assured me all my plants had irrigation and that we would wait to Spring to begin yard service. Spring approached and he came out again to do some work on my irrigation, much more affordable than some of the larger companies I called. Later I realized all my aloe plants were turning brown and the centers of the plants had died. I had Eduardo come back out where he informed me those plants did not have irrigation, obviously annoyed, he added the irrigation to them (the center of the plants never came back, they are still dead, the outter leaves are starting to come back and turn green). I also stated that I wanted my grass to be green, it was very brown. He said they would fertilize it, etc. to get it going. Later we started yard service with KO's, mainly because I thought his prices were good ($65 every other week) and they provided decent service even though it was clear there were some communication issues. By this point Summer was approaching, my plants were blooming and flowering, things looked great, but my yard was still brown. Turns out they never did the fertilizer, once I inquired, he said they would need to up the water/irrigation on the yard because of the heat and that they would in fact fertilize. This did help, but I was bothered because I feel like my lawn service should be telling me these things in foresight, not telling me they would work on it and not following through or waiting for me to notice the problem and then them backtracking. Also, they were supposed to reseed the lawn and completely missed that window, so I still have big patches in my yard where no grass will grow, apparently I'll have to wait til the Fall for this. When things were starting to look nicely, plants flowering, etc. one day I come home and everything had been cut back. I called him and stated I NEVER wanted the flowers trimmed off or cut back. Fast forward one month, finally blooming again, I come home and they were all cut off again. I was not happy. Everyone else in my neighborhood had blooms, but us. Now here I am having to wait another month for flowers. There were other issues, the crew not coming on the right day, leaving my pool a mess with debris, Eduardo telling me he would come on a certain day or time and not showing. We also had an issue with a potted plant. They were supposed to plant a palm in a particular place (centered), Eduardo actually placed the pot where the plant was supposed to go and his guys planted it a foot to the right. We literally pulled it out of the ground and replanted it in the correct place, I will say they did not charge us for that which I appreciated. Bottom line, KO's biggest problem is the communication. There is none, you can speak to Eduardo, but half the time he forgets and you have to remind him or it doesn't translate correctly to his crew, or a completely different crew comes out the next time and has no idea. I want my lawn service to be proactive, someone that tells me what needs to be done, not me asking them all the time and having to play catch up. If your plants and grass are dying when you have lawn service something is wrong. I have now started with a new guy, recommended by a friend and I have to say it's the same price, even less for fixes on the irrigation, etc. and it is NIGHT AND DAY. He was here 3x longer than KO's and got EVERY weed, it's perfection honestly and he knows not to cut off my flowers and to let me know if something needs attention before it starts dying, etc. which I obviously appreciate! read more
