Subsequent years saw a few leaks every couple of months. I suppose I should have asked what type of poly tube they were using but figured for the price (over $3k), they'd be using something of quality. I was way wrong. I have had to engage Sprinkler Doctors for each leak (and it's not just one at a time, it's several at a time) after giving up doing it on my own. It just became a burden. Every instance of Sprinkler Doctors coming out to fix the leaks, the tech invariably asks, "who installed this?" and "this tubing is cheap." Most recently, I had a tech come out to address more leaks and he flat out told me that the tubing they used was garbage and the installers should have or would have known that. My entire system needs to be replaced because now, with each leak fixed, another leak pops up a little further down the line. So if you want to have fun repairing leaks a year after install, go with this company! If that doesn't sound like a grand time to you, I'd recommend looking elsewhere. TL/DR: irrigation tubing should last about 10-15 years after installation if it's buried. Mine hasn't even lasted eight. Leaks began occurring the year after installation.

My concern was that I felt the result was very different from what I hoped. I was disappointed. I hoped to have one of the nicest properties in the community, and instead I felt a little embarrassed. This is my fault, but I was out of the country for a couple of months while the company was doing the install, and I was too busy to give the project the careful thought that it required. After being in the house for one week, I decided that I was unhappy enough to be feel bad instead of happy about my new front and back yards. I decided to find another landscaper to totally redo the landscaping. I had seen the Desert Sage Landscaping truck several times over the past few months working on nicely landscaped properties (I rented a house in the community for 8 moths while they built my house). I liked what I saw. I talked with one of the guys and he took me to the owner, Miguel. I liked having the owner actively maintaining landscapes because that gave me confidence that he had a lot of practical, on the job experience with plants in our desert environment. I showed him my front and back yards and told him what I wanted done. I asked him about many plants that I liked and he told me what was good and what was bad. He was speaking from experience in maintaining so many properties. He gave me a plan within 24 hours and began a couple of days later. He and his crew spent about a week replacing the walkways and plants, and adding boulders, hills, irrigation, lights and many plants. The price was reasonable and the result is excellent. We met and dealt with Frank for the hardscape install on our 2 acre PV property. After it was all said and done I absolutely do not recommended this company and here is why: 1) they mismeasured and BUILT our pool and hot tub the wrong size! We had very detailed plans from a reputable landscape architect so this shouldn't have happened. This resulted in our landscape architect having to redesign all the surrounding pool pavers and pathways because the pool was bigger by 2 feet!! 2) they built steps going into our pool that were essentially non functional. When Greenscapes finally admitted to the mismeasured pool, which we agreed to not have them rip the whole thing and fix. Frank did agree to rip out the steps and rebuild those. 3) only after moving in to our home and experiencing significant rain we realized that they didn't compact the dirt before laying pavers, drains, or concrete. We literally had drains pop out of the ground, the pavers for our driveway stated sinking in, standing water collected near our foundation because the drains were instilled ABOVE the grade so no water could actually drain. We ended up going out of pocket and hired a very reputable and knowledgeable large landscaping firm to fix all these issues. 4) the concrete company they used to pour our main front walkway came on TWO different days so obviously the concrete didn't match between batches. We had to have the concrete sandblasted and acid washed to attempt to match. Overall, save yourself the headache and don't use this company.

This was our experience with how our new home project started, not knowing where to even begin. We looked them up online and submitted the contact form and were pleasantly surprised to receive not only a quick response within hours, but from someone who was very cordial and professional and seemed trustworthy and interested by wanting to come out to our house and give us a quote. That individual was Kristin, who is one of the family owners, and she scheduled to meet with us and her project manager Jonathan within a day. They both showed up promptly and on time at our home with such a pleasant attitude and showed us right away they were there to help us plan the design we were looking for. Our side and backyard are both very limited in space, so this project was smaller than most the company is used to handling, however, they assured us they were willing to make it happen.
