To start with, CnC took corona precautions by giving out pagers and encouraging patrons that are waiting to go shop elsewhere. The decor says fun, and the staff was friendly. First up was the trendy "hot chocolate bomb," which was actually the bomb. Turns milk blue, makes taste buds happy. The table ordered a gamut of food. Waffles were fluffy and powdery sugared, eggs were locally sourced and cooked to perfection, warm maple was actual maple syrup, corned beef was legit, turkey bacon was better than when I make it, pig bacon was thick, pancakes were light and fluffy, home fries were crispy, and the toast was not over buttered. I moved out of the area to Colorado about 6 years ago, every time I'm visiting this is a must stop. Consistently great food and great service. Everything comes out hot and pretty quickly. I was up visiting the Mohegan Sun casino and stumbled across this place. The name alone instantly made me hungry. As I was driving through the old fashion plaza I stopped and thought this place may not be that good. Let's talk about putting a foot in my mouth. CUSTOMER SERVICE: From the moment I opened the door to walk in I was greeted with Southern Hospitality even though I wasn't in the south. Absolutely love the staff and I really enjoyed reading the back of the shirts for they're all different and they say the craziest things. FOOD: The food came out extremely fast and hot. A group of friends, my fiancée and I decided to stop here based on their Yelp rating. We stopped on our way back home from our weekend getaway in the Poconos. At first I did not think it was a sit down restaurant as it was a part of a strip mall but I was glad to discover that it was. The service was good. Nothing over the top but good. The waitress cracked a few jokes here and there and kept it light. There were a few instances where I felt the waitress could have been slightly more attentive with coffee refills etc as it wasn't too busy since it was a Monday morning after 11. Our food did take a little above average time to come out but there were 7 of us so I can definitely understand. The food was amazing. I ordered the belly buster and could only finish half. It was very good and filling. The coffee was delicious as well. I would definitely go back the next time I'm in the area. The rest of my group also loved their dishes as well. We were in the Poconos for the lantern festival but had a couple of hours to kill beforehand. When searching for a brunch lunch spot, this place popped up as one of the higher rating spots. I won't lie, I almost judged a book by it's cover when we saw the entrance. It looked like some ghetto cheap shop at the front but the minute you walk in, you feel guilty for every misjudgment because this place is happening. Tons of staff, lots of customers and many souvenirs and personalized items around the store. They even have their own little souvenir store in the back where you can pick up a cool black t shirt with some of their funny slogans. The server was extremely nice. The menu had a lot of wonderful options that kept us busy for a while. I decided to go with an omelette - just mozarella mushrooms and tomatoes. It was the juiciest omelette I've ever had! Without it being raw of course. There's just something about it... Nd their home fries were lit! Crispy on the outside, flavor and well cooked on the inside. I'm pretty sure it wasn't because I was hungry but their food was legit. My friends had some of the other dishes and all loved them (I can't remember what they got). We had a short wait, which was fine as they give you a roomy and comfortable waiting area, as well as a beeper. When you go there bring your sense of humor, there are great things to read everywhere! Stopped the rig here on the way to Jersey City. Wonderful breakfast! First things first: There's plenty of parking in the mall lot and a mown field to walk the dog. Also, there is a Family Dollar and a supermarket. The grits here are outstanding - cooked firm (or tight) by request, with no graininess - just pillowy soft and absorbent to soak up the butter and yolks. Service was attentive and educational - basted eggs are called "steamed eggs" here - and they steam them perfectly - no snotty whites but the yolks nice and runny - no toughness! It's a pleasure to dine where the most important foods (to me) - grits and eggs - are cooked to perfection. Close diner/breakfast spot near our airbnb that offers an extensive menu with vegetarian, fit/healthy options, and cholesterol inducing-artery clotting options...they got it all! I got the Florentine Eggs Benedict ($8.60) the eggs were steamed, not poached, but they were still super soft and the yolk was perfectly runny. The "hollandaise sauce" was more like cheese lol no matter still yummy. The tomatoes under the eggs were fresh and the spinach was aplenty. And the house fries that came with it were crunchy and oh so good. Blueberry lemonade ($3): not to sweet and I actually tasted blueberries! A nice, refreshing drink! Belly Buster "messy mike" ($9.25): one of my friends got this and when our waitress placed the plate down we were all shook. Came in for breakfast and they were a little busy but was able to be seated in a timely manner. Lots of food choices for breakfast and lunch/dinner. There are specials too written up on the wall. Settled on a nice breakfast combo and got an extra side of grits. There was a lot of food. All good and cooked well. Had coffee and it was strong and tasty with plenty of refills. The side of grits I got was huge. Couldn't finish all my food but left very happy. If you're looking for healthy food this isn't really the place. All comfort food! If I had to be a little picky they could offer sides of fruit or real OJ not from concentrate. I would definitely go again. All the staff was very friendly and helpful. Luckily we tried this place because the dishes were flavorful and customer service were outstanding. I had the patty melt while other people had Messy Mike. The beef was tasty and well seasoned. Stopped in for breakfast around 10:00 on a Sunday. Located in blakeslee shopping plaza next to Ahearts market. Restaurant was busy and we Waited a few minutes to be seated. We were asked if counter seating was ok and said yes. Started w coffee which was very good. kava coffee freshly ground w each pot made. Menu has a wide variety w traditional items and some twists. Example pumpkin pancakes w a Carmel sauce for fall. Home fries were thin sliced potatoes and browned nicely. Service was nice. Staff wear teeshirts shirts w different witty sayings in the back and we saw a lot of teamwork. Restaurant expanded to add seating over the last year and is freshly painted. There are signs /pictures w cute sayings. Also there was some nice background music. Breakfast served all day plus lunch menu. If u r thinking about breakfast this is the place to go. I decided to get a hot chocolate and the country breakfast. The country breakfast had eggs cooked to your liking, fried chicken over home fries and biscuits that was covered in country white gravy. The platter was delicious and I very much enjoyed the combination of the gravy and biscuits. The home fries were cooked perfectly by having a crispy crust and soft interior.
