Tried this place after a late game at BLD. They were getting ready to close but graciously took my order. Had the sesame chicken and the 1/2 and 1/2 BBQ meal and short rib. Drove 15 miles to try this place recommended by a co-worker. All I can say is DELICIOUS!!! Ordered 3 different combo meals and all three were AWESOME. Portions were HUGE. I have been here twice. The food is okay. Not the best hawaiian food I have tasted. I ordered the half katsu and half short ribs plate. It was a good portion. I also liked that they have this plate as an option as I am not able to do that at other hawaiian places. The katsu was overcooked and the short ribs was okay, not much flavor. I also did not like their macaroni salad. It was more of a vinegarette taste not creamy like other places. read more

Went in on a Saturday Night. Had seen the place many times and finally decided to give it a shot. Of course this was my experience and experiences vary between personalities and taste buds. First thing that i noticed was how clean the location was. We were the only two people in the location but were immediately greeted by the friendly cashier. As she was explaining the menu to us, even the cook/chef came from the back to greet us and thank us for coming in. So service from the start was very nice and friendly and very much appreciated. The food was pretty great as well. The macaroni salad was delicious and not very sweet. The chicken was average in my opinion, similar to the chicken you would get from like waba grill. the win was the steak/beef. the meat was very tender and was personally the high light of the meal. the teriyaki sauce is house made and i personally really enjoyed it. All in all, it was a very pleasant experience. It adds a little diversity in food at that little location which is now sandwiches, pizza, mexican, chinese, burgers, and fortunately now hawaiian BBQ. Worst "hawaiian BBQ" joint we've tried.. it seems like to us that it they tried to incorporate Chinese food with hawaiian BBQ.. seems like the rice is not just steamed rice, but rather sushi rice as it was severely sticky. My shrimp plate in a weird red chunky sauce was unbearably SALTY. Their macaroni salad was by far the worst, it literally had zero salt, it also had celery which usually that is not one of the normal ingredients.. seems like the dressing mixture did not have mayonnaise and that is a known ingredient.. on top of that it also had a grainy consistency as if it had smashed potato.. needless to say it all went in the garbage.. read more

When this place first opened it was a refreshing new change. The food was excellent and the prices good. Now the prices have gone up and one of our favorite dishes the House Rice which is expensive because it has several kinds of meat in it, including shrimp they have now been skimping on the shrimp. We used to get like ten or so shrimp but recently have began putting chunks of pineapple in and dropping the number of shrimp to only two or three. So no more House Rice for us. read more

I used to go to Onos for my Hawaiian food fix until I tried this place. Food is of better quality than Onos in my opinion. The staff is always very friendly and accomadating especially the girl who works the front during the week. I recommend the H6 which the Katsu and the short ribs.
