My husband & I picked up dinner from here tonight... absolutely AMAZING! Not only is the place clean & comfortable inside, but the man at the register (I assume the owner) gave us the best service. He gave us samples to try & great recommendations on what to order. He was friendly & gave us the type of service that is rare to get these days. I had the Sesame Chicken... incredible! Definitely will be ordering that again! My husband had the H3 Steak & Chicken meal- he enjoyed every bite & has a bunch of leftovers because the portions are so generous. Their macaroni salad is light & flavorful. Their meats are all tender & cooked to perfection. Even their veggies are steamed perfectly. We also order 4 of the shrimp cheese egg rolls- these are a must have! Beyond flavorful! Needless to say, we are so happy we tried this place out tonight- great food & great service. Just found out that this place is open so we decided to go and give it a try. First of all, the staff did their best to help us make the best choice. Our friends ordered shrimp and pineapple chicken, we tried some and it was delicious!! We had the short ribs and the sesame chicken. It was all very delicious!!! This Char N Grill is started out really good but it seems like the quality has gone down a a bit or maybe it was just a bad day. My sesame chicken was like eating grilled and crispy clumps of sugar. Stumbled across this place because I past my freeway exit. The name drew me in. Their menu made it hard for me to decide what to order. Everything looked good. I went with the #1 chicken bowl. I just stopped by. It was my first time here. The lady at the front counter was very nice. The place is clean but menu is a little overbearing. It's too much going on. I got a grilled chicken breast bowl and it is disgusting. I don't know what kinda grilled mess that is but it's horrible and doesn't look grilled. The place is just okay, there's not a lot of good food places around to choose from. I stopped going there when they wanted to charge me $1 for a little bag to put crispy won tons. I voiced my opinion and told them that it was ridiculous to charge $1 for a little paper bag. I'll never go back again. read more

My boyfriend and I were craving Hawaiian bbq on our way back to Arizona and saw this place on yelp so we decided to pull off the freeway and grab some lunch. We were pleasantly surprised! Huge serving of food. Katsu chicken and grill steak were yummy and good sauces. Our only tiny complaint would be that the Mac salad wasn't true to Hawaiian style, which is usually the highlight of our experience. Overall... Amazing place, my girlfriend and I come here a lot and we love the food here(my girlfriends addicted). The katsu chicken is on point, the beef tastes great. The rice is good rice and there more of a medley when it come to the veggies rather than just cabbage and the pasta salad in amazing and doesnt taste bland like ono hawiian bbq, no, this place is way better. This place is clean and well kept. However, their food is ok. It taste like waba grill or Ono's, but in my opion more expensive. They charge $1 more for brown rice and do not offer any lunch specials. If they lowered the price , didn't charge extra for brown rice and had lunch specials they would get 5 stars from me. read more

New Hawaiian BBQ place in the community, thought I'd try it out. The BBQ chicken was tender and tasty. The sticky rice and steamed veggies were fine. Not a fan of their sauces.....katsu sauce is more like BBQ sauce with a little tang and the terriyaki sauce is thin and almost like soy sauce. The mac salad was plain, boring, and bland. Most disappointing was the Hawaiian chicken katsu.....way overcooked in dirty oil. Worst katsu I've ever had. Won't recommend and won't be back.....I'll stick to Ono. read more

I had the chicken katsu. $8.99. the portion was smaller than the Hawaiian Ono BBQ small chicken katsu. The katsu sauce was watery and not very good. The was half the size of a normal clamshell but was 80% full of rice. Disappointing. read more
