From the moment I walked in, I felt transported straight to Hawaii. The ambiance is effortlessly relaxing -- warm, inviting, and thoughtfully curated in a way that truly captures the spirit of the islands without feeling overdone. It's the kind of place where you instantly slow down and savor the experience. The poke nachos were outstanding -- impeccably fresh with a satisfying crisp that held up beautifully to every topping. The garlic shrimp was rich, buttery, and packed with flavor, paired perfectly with steamed white rice cooked to fluffy perfection. And the mac salad? Easily the standout. Ultra-creamy, well-balanced, and nostalgic in the best way -- it tied the entire meal together. What truly elevated the experience was the service. They were incredibly attentive, answered all of my questions, and took the time to thoughtfully explain each dish. That level of care makes such a difference and shows they genuinely take pride in what they serve. If a trip to Hawaii isn't on your calendar anytime soon, this is the next best thing -- an authentic, thoughtfully executed taste of the islands that absolutely delivers.

Guava Cake. Best thing there. Size was actually decent.

Showed up for Joel S.'s UYE lunch w my husband, my kiddo, and about 20 fellow Yelpers... and took over half the restaurant like hungry Hawaiian-food Avengers. Started strong w 2 orders of Poke Nachos, which disappeared faster than our willpower near a dessert table lol! The mac salad was a solid win too.... extra points for NOT sneaking tuna into it like every other Hawaiian BBQ joint seems legally obligated to do. My only beef (or should I say rib?) was the portion sizes..... those kalbi ribs were looking a little shy & very tiny compared to what I'm used to. Portion sizes were very small!!!!! But then the Guava Cake arrived. One bite and BOOM!!!.... guava flavor slapped me in the face in the most affectionate way possible!!!! Absolute star of the meal!! We also enjoyed a surprise Haupia cake for my husband's birthday... coconut cream and pineapple teaming up like the dessert dream team. Service was stellar. Super friendly staff who somehow kept smiling even though we basically formed a Yelp colony in their dining room. Let's talk about parking... if you find a spot, immediately buy a lottery ticket bc LUCK is clearly on your side, there are like 6 spots total. Joel wrapped things up w a raffle, and my husband walked away w the grand prize. Great food, fun people, and lots of laughs!!! Big thanks to Joel for pulling off a fantastic UYE!!

To quote my boyfriend, "they only get better with time." I love dining in because the ambience is always so nice, they really make you feel like you're at a local spot on the big island, HOWEVER if it was just me, I would immediately take my food to the car to demolish it in private, the only reason you see gravy in my plate left over is because I'm not brave enough yet to lick my plate clean in public. Fun fact we learned today too: they do catering for their cakes too! Apparently you can request a medium aluminum pan sized cake or their extra large "Thanksgiving style " one, which honestly I pray to have the coconut cake or guava cake as my wedding cake someday ALWAYS DELICIOUS

Came here for a casual lunch with some friends that somehow turned into a whole mini party. Cheesecake, a tuxedo, a photo shoot, and gifts. All we needed were some hula dancers to turn this into a full pāʻina. Outside looks like a classic roadside spot with the red awning and picnic tables, but once you step inside, it turns into a chill island diner with surf vids and North Shore vibes. There's parking in the rear, but tight. Tighter than squeezing into a beach lot at North Shore during surf season. Saimin came through with pure comfort. Nothing fancy, just right. The mixed plate was delicious, and yeah... it was loaded up all right. Teriyaki beef, kalua pork, rice, and mac all pressed in together. The way I like it. The mochiko chicken was ridiculous. Easily the best I've ever had. Chicken was tender and juicy, and let's be real, juicy is always a good thing. Service was solid from start to finish, and backed by that island-friendly hospitality. Each time our server walked out, we reacted like they were calling the next draft pick. Shoutout to Joel for getting everyone together at the same time... well, everyone except one. You already know who was fashionably late. Cue music. North Shore Plate Lunch brought real North Shore energy. Big flavors, laid-back feel, and a lunch that hit like a quick escape to the islands. Easily worth a halfway-to-Hana drive.

Come out to the North Shore! If you bee looking for that Hawaiian score! This place will have your tastebuds buzzing Fo Sho! An that's something a foodie just can't ignore! So come on down and take a delicious tour. I started off with the Spam Musubi which was pretty good but not made to order for some reason. Next up was the Poke Bowl Nachos which were legit to my tastebuds and that spicy mayo made this happen for sure. To complete the trio of treats was the Medium Plate which came with Kalua Pork and Beef complimented with a tasty scoop of Mac Salad. Ok, that was definitely a good way to end this foodie adventure. Service was great but they have limited parking so beware other than that it's a legit place if you're looking for those Hawaiian eats. And that's my take on it. Peace out my peeps...

Ahi Poke Nachos ($15.99 - close up)

I had a lovely experience at North Shore (Norco). I ordered the Garlic Shrimp Plate ($15.99) and the Ahi Poke Nachos ($15.99). I felt happy as I savored its fresh flavors, juicy textures, and filling portion sizes. "DELICIOUS!! Ahh!!" I arrived at North Shore (Norco) on Saturday (around 11:05AM - near opening time). The private rear parking lot is cramped; it holds about seven cars. Fortunately, I found a spot; however, it makes more sense to use the adjacent neighboring businesses' parking plazas and briskly walk over. Staff is very friendly, welcoming, and cheerful. Staff (receipt says Giovannah) answered all my questions and provided helpful recommendations. The food arrived crazily quick (less than four minutes), but I'll attribute it to being early. As mentioned, I absolutely adored the North Shore Garlic Shrimp Plate ($15.99) and the Ahi Poke Nachos ($15.99). The Garlic Shrimp Plate ($15.99) included eight plump "EZ Peel Shrimp," Steamed Rice, and fresh Mac Salad. These thick Shrimps were juicy, and they dripped with savory garlic sauce. The Mac Salad had bouncy, firm macaroni noodles & fresh, bright sauce. The Steamed Rice was clean & soft. Despite the name, Ahi Poke Nachos ($15.99), there's no cheese. It's simply a large portion of fresh ahi (sushi grade tuna) resting upon airy, crisp wonton chips. For this order, I also selected the "spicy mayo" sauce; however, the heat is very gentle. "DELICIOUS!!!!" I felt myself melt into a stress-free puddle as my teeth sink softly into its silky sashimi. To my utter joy, this lightly chilled & fresh poke melted in my mouth. Next, its wonton chips had a firm, light, and crisp crunch. I felt my smile widening. The sauce's savory sweetness, the airy chips, and bright poke combined to make an indescribably delicious meal! Regarding ambiance, North Shore (Norco) is casual, clean, and welcoming. The floors and inside tables are shiny and well-maintained. It's also well-ventilated with its five spinning ceiling fans. There's also four flat screen TVs; two played football, and two others showed Hawaiian/soothing visuals. The location also has plenty of seating; there's about 13 tables inside. There's also a gender neutral restroom in the back. I also appreciated how the location is family-friendly by having several baby highchairs. The music is also clear and upbeat. If I were to nitpick, the four outside tables on the front patio weren't the cleanest; I observed a couple dead bugs just laying about. Overall, North Shore (Norco) offers amazing food! The food is filling, affordable, and extremely delicious. To my utter joy, the hype is real! I left very happy and full. If nearby, it's an easy recommendation. 5 out of 5. "GO!!!!"

My husband and I came here for the second unofficial get together that was put together by Joel S. He did a fantastic job hosting the event. We had a good time meeting everyone at the event. We also celebrated 3 birthdays for the month of November. Thanks Leilani M. for bringing the delicious chocolate cake for my husband. We ordered: Large plate - Kalbi and Kalua Pork, Rice and Mac Salad - We shared Kalbi and my husband ate his Kalua Pork with rice. Kalbi was tender and was cooked to perfection. Kalua Pork was good. Mac Salad was well seasoned and delicious without fishy tuna. Ahi Poke Nachos - My husband absolutely loved it. 2 sodas Dessert - Coconut Haupia Cake - Absoutley amazing fluffy cake with perfect frosting with coconut strips. Service was fantastic. Ambiance is nice and clean. Limited tables inside and outside. Highly recommended.

It's the best Hawaiian food I've had in So. Cal. Even better than some restaurants I ate at in Kauai. Great Flavorful Food, Great Atmosphere and the food made fresh to Order. I would recommend ordering ahead time. It can be a wait when they are busy. The Cake/Pie Slices are a bit pricey at $10 ea. ouch.

Obsessed with Hawaiian food even more after visiting Oahu last year. Also learned there is a huge difference in poke between the islands and mainland. Excited to find a Hawaiian food spot in an unexpected place (horse town USA), and the poke is pretty close to island style. Ordered shoyu poke, cucumber kimchi and Mac salad. The menu seemed pretty close to all the North shore shacks so definitely will come back to try more variety (garlic shrimp). The price was a little high (compared to island poke) and the shoyu poke was a little sweet, needed some onion or garlic for balance. The staff were very friendly and the place seems really clean.

I've been wanting to check this restaurant out, and I'm glad I did. This little restaurant is a hidden gem that offers delicious Hawaiian cuisine. The cashier was friendly and the service was good. Poke bowl was really good and the tuna tasted fresh. You can't go wrong with the spam musubi, and you should definitely try the homemade cucumber kimchi. I was really happy when they loaded it up with my XL plate. The chicken katsu was tender and crunchy. The galbi tasted delicious and were large slices. I believe my favorite was the kalua pork, which I had never tried before. The kalua was incredibly soft, and its juices were visible. Definitely coming back here again as my go to Hawaiian spot

Food was absolutely delicious. My girlfriend thought she didn't like Hawaiian BBQ after a bad experience at some other restaurant, but I knew I had to change her mind. This was the perfect place to do so! The food was so yummy, and the service was quick. The indoor seating area could be a little cleaner but we ordered to-go so I didn't mind. They upgraded us from regular spam musubi to the deluxe one for free! I can't wait to go back. :)

The food here is really good! You can't go wrong with anything on the menu. The chicken katsu and galbi were really good. I would definitely come back here.

Hawaii is my favorite place, so I needed to test this place out to see how it compares the one and only Giovanni's. It's a hole in the wall with minimal parking, so b hopefully you find a spot! When you step inside it has a nice Hawaiian vibe with the decor and music. My garlic shrimp plate was $16, and I got a side of poke on the side for $10. Don't come too hungry, cause I waited 30 mins for my food. I tore into that bag so excited... and it did NOT disappoint. While it's not Giovanni's, it's DARN CLOSE!!!!! They're shrimp garlicky and so tasty. The Mac salad was absolutely delicious. 10/10 recommend! This says a lot coming from a Hawaii enthusiast.

I ended up ordering spicy edamame, vegetable egg rolls, veggie rolls, tempura veggie rolls, and vegetable yakisoba. My sister, who's a meat eater, ordered calamari, California rolls, beef fried rice, beef yakisoba, and a new Korean bbq dish that wasn't on the regular menu, but there was a picture of it on the wall by our table. In addition, we each also got a bowl of miso soup and a small salad that came free of charge with our meal, which I appreciate since sushi rolls by themselves don't really fill me up. Everything tasted good and was filling and even now after eating some of the leftovers, it all still tastes good. The place itself is nicely decorated with a bunch of police patches behind the counter while on the walls there's Japanese artwork. The only hiccups I had was when I first came in I immediately asked for 2 waters. I got a nonverbal "Mm-hmm," so I repeated it again and got the same response, but a little more annoyed. Maybe it's a cultural thing where I was expecting an actual "Yes" and in Japan it's just a noise of acknowledgement, but once I started ordering so much food the waitress was much nicer to us. The 2nd was when we had to wait for the last dish to come out when we were already packed and ready to leave, but that was more on us since we added the Korean bbq last minute. The last has nothing to do with the restaurant itself, but the plaza it's in. If you're unfamiliar with it, I'll tell you right now that the parking situation is a nightmare! Basically, the parking lot is a long narrow stretch sandwiched in-between with the various restaurants and shops on one side, and the main street on the other side, so what ends up happening is all the good spots right next to the place you want to go to get filled up fast and you have to try and make a U-turn and find parking far away. Meanwhile, a bunch of other cars are trying to do the same thing while other cars are trying to come in off the street. It's horrible! It's an accident waiting to happen! I hate this plaza and whoever designed it! Anyway, if you're willing to put up with the parking situation, the restaurant and food are good enough for you to forget about it until you're trying to leave.

Honestly most people know ramen expectations should be low when you order it as take out but i think they do a great job with how they package their takeout! I've tried their normal lemonade and their mango passionfruit sweet tea and personally i like their sweet tea more! The drink portion is nice and large! Definitely not overly sweet and it always hit with my ramen. I've tried most of their ramens, i like the fact that they have different style noodles. Personally i think their wavy noodles go better with the rich broths like the miso and the Tokyo style one (a mix of shoyu and tonkotsu ) and the straight noodles go god with their clear broth like the shoyu or the yuzu shio. I normally get their shoyu mostly because it gives me the least acid reflux, but that's nothing with their food it's just a health issue for me :( i would say my favorite is their Tokyo style broth. I think it has a nice balance of flavor and the wavy noodles just soak up that broth nicely. I've only had their appetizers on takeout so they're not super fresh, and not really a main stopper for me. The large is good but i wish it was a little bigger with the pieces. Sometimes they're just small and idk it feels like it's missing something. I got the opportunity to stop here yesterday after my tattoo, and the service was decent. Got seated quickly and my order taken quick as well. My food took a few minutes to be made but nothing crazy of a wait. Overall i had a good time, i do go on a Saturday around 7:30 pm so not sure if that matters. For take out i do recommend ordering min 30 minutes before pickup because i do feel like it can take a minute, but thats the nice part of take out that you can order in advance. I think for Eastvale/ norco ramen this place a nice broth and noodles. And it's not overly oily or salty :)
