HORRIBLE DROOLING EXPERIENCE!!!! DO NOT VISIT THIS PLACE IF YOU WANT TO BE DROOLED ON AND GETTING YELLED AT FOR POINTING IT OUT. This is my first time visiting this place. I got my pedicure and manicure done. Everything went well with my pedicure. When it came to manicure, I had an absolutely horrifying experience. The lady who did my manicure was down with allergies and kept sneezing. I didn't have an issue with that because she had her mask on. But to my horror towards the end of the manicure the lady started DROOLING through her mask all over herself and soaking through her mask and T-shirt WHILE WORKING ON MY HANDS. Me, along with my sister politely asked her to wash her hands. She did wash her hands the first time and continued drooling and wiped it off of the back of her hands and attempted to get back to my manicure. We had to abruptly get up and make a payment and talk to the manager and to our surprise the staff asked us if she drooled on me or herself. And the lady who did the job instead of being remorseful started yelling at us. One of the staff who was around inturn asked us if it really was a hygiene issue and pretended as if it was normal and OKAY to drool as long as it was not on me. Horrible place to ever visit. There was no question about the refund either for this kind of weird and horrible service. Their only issue was if we made our payment PATHETIC!! read more

Very clean with cute design. The staff is great and very professional. Also my gel manicure looks amazing!

I have gotten my nails done at this place before, and I thought they were good. This is my first time getting a wax from them and my eyebrows are now ruined. I attached photos to show what my eyebrows look like before getting waxed, and what they look like now. I wear make up occasionally, but I never have to do my brows because they look perfect all the time. My right eyebrow is completely higher than my left eyebrow now. The lady that was doing my eyebrows waxed in between them way too far on my right side as well, so not only is it higher than my left one it's also farther back. It makes my face look very unsymmetrical. This salon should be ashamed for the job I was given. How can you charge $14 and expect a tip for something that looks like a mistake. This reminds me of the time when I was in middle school, and I accidentally shaved my eyebrow back too far. Such horrible service. I've gotten my eyebrows done before normally you get a cooling cream, lotion or oil but I got nothing and they were still sticky when I left. I expect a refund because this is disgusting. It's going to take a month or more for my eyebrows to go back to looking the way they were they been ruined. read more

Just moved here from out of state, I looked up the different nail salons and chose Charming Nail Spa to try. I'm so glad I did, the host was very friendly and welcoming. Will did my pedicure and hands down it was the best pedicure I'd ever had. He took his time and gave a fabulous massage, it was perfection! Will also fixed my ingrown toenail and took my discomfort away, thank you! The atmosphere was very relaxing and everyone was low-toned with relaxing lights. read more

Amazing! This was a fantastic manicure! I had Jack and he was wonderful! He said he's been doing nails for 10 years and it definitely shows in his work. The shape was great and the design WAS SO GOOD!! I showed him a picture and he was unsure if he could do it but he tried and HE KILLED IT!! I mean look how cute. 10/10 would recommend this salon and Jack! He was very friendly. read more

Will is an excellent Nail Technician. He pays attention to detail and he doesn't rush. I've been to other nail techs who don't take the time to smooth out the acrylic or don't file the edges down smoothly. None of this occurs with Will. Also, my polish never chips or peels. The shop is beautiful and it has a relaxed, professional atmosphere. I highly recommend Charming Nails. read more

Absolutely amazing! The pedicure was so relaxing I fell asleep. The spa is so clean and the employees were incredibly nice. I will definitely be back again. Highly recommend read more

Came here for a pedicure and to get dip nails with tips.. The pedicure was great, I chose one of the more "deluxe" pedicures. I mentioned to the tech that I haven't been to the salon in some time and noticed that I have a lot of dead skin on the heal of my foot. When I left the salon, I saw that both the back of my heals we're not touched and still had lots of dry skin left on them. I was unhappy but the actual pedicure experience was okay. My nails however were a huge disappointment. I showed the tech a photo of the shape and length I wanted. As soon as she glued on all of the tips she began cutting them all extremely short.. I expressed that it was a lot shorter than I expected but told her it was ok (knowing I'd have to sit there for a soak off as well if I said otherwise). Understandably so, they took quite some time.. but towards the end I believe the tech may have been realizing how bad they looked. She continuously was trying to sand extra powder off in areas of the nails to try to fix the crooked and messed up shape of the nail. During this she nicked my skin many times and in the end 2 of the nails came out crooked and the nails all still looked bumpy and uneven. This was all just a typical bad salon experience until a week after I got them done all of the artificial nails started lifting from the bottom. I removed them and found that my nails were green underneath ( this is called 'pseudomonas aeruginosa' - a bacterial infection caused by moisture being trapped underneath your nails as the nail begins to lift). This may happen if you don't get your nails done frequent enough but for this to have happened only a WEEK after my appointment, shows to me that all the time she was drilling the product of my nail, she was making it way too thin, causing the nail to begin to lift. This must have been beginning to happen just days after I got them done to already be seeing the infection a week after. Overall, a pretty nail salon inside but a very poorly run once. Some techs may know what they're doing but not all of them. read more

Great experience! I had Bingo as my technician, his attention to detail and work was really wonderful. I had an acrylic set done at another salon, and Bingo did my fill and they look great! Even better than before. I had a photo of the color I wanted, and he found it on the shelf, nails are perfect. Thank you! read more

Will not go back. My nail tech seemed to be his first time and was unsure what he was doing. Put on lotion then immediately followed with polish. It was chipping within a few days. I went back and the owner touched it up, but didn't remove the polish. She assured me he "is a really good nail tech." However, the touch up was off by the next day. It was also pricey. read more

I had a great experience here, very personal experience and professional. The nail art I got was exceptional, and I'm very happy with my manicure! read more

Fantastic customer service. I called this morning and was able to get an appointment for the late afternoon. The salon itself is adorably decorated and very clean. Over the phone I requested someone who was used to doing dip powder on long nails and Nancy was my nail tech. She was very friendly and paid close attention to detail and was extremely organized while she was doing my nails. It's been difficult for previous nail techs to shape my nails but Nancy shaped them perfectly. The dip is not too thick and looks flawless. This was the best dip manicure I have had IN YEARS. I've already booked my next appointment! read more

Charming Nail Spa - Dip powder manicure by Nancy - Nail Salons Near Me - Gainesville, Virginia

Everyone is friendly for the most part, Nancy is an absolute angel and I have religiously been going to her for months. I moved further away and still make the drive out to this spa, it's super clean, quiet, and they have a nice color selection. You get a hand massage with every single service, which I was surprised (most salons aren't consistent) read more

I came here for a pedicure and they did a great job, took their time, and included a scrub massage service that didn't feel rushed like other salons I have been too. They were also very friendly and the chairs were comfy. Definitely recommend! read more

Amazing service. This is my second time to this nail spa and both times the staff was very nice and kept checking if I like the shake length and made sure I was happy with it. Very clean also. Very much would recommend them to anyone. I think it's the best in the Gainesville area read more

Absolutely loved my first visit. I got a gel spa pedicure and it was great. Nancy was my tech and she was excellent. The leg massage was by far the best I've ever had at any salon. I will definitely request Nancy in the future. The salon is clean and everyone is very professional and pleasant. This will definitely be my new salon and I cannot wait to go back! read more

Beautiful facility. Excellent pedicure. Will definitely go back and highly recommend!

Jack was great! The spa is clean and peaceful and the staff very professional. Cannot wait to go back!

I don't like giving bad reviews, but I felt I needed to share. I went to this place because the ratings were good, but honestly I did not have a positive experience. I made an appointment and when I got there, I had to wait to sign in while the person at the front was on the phone. Usually this is fine, except the fact there were 3 workers there and not a single customer in the entire salon! Finally they got me signed in and asked what I wanted. I told them nails with tip, and I asked for a very easy French tip design. They seemed really confused and told me they "could try but it may not look like that", so I decided to just do one plain color to not risk it. They led me to my seat where I proceeded to wait 15 min past my appointment time for them to get off the phone. Meanwhile another customer came in who they back took before me and started working on her. While the guy was doing my nails he was generally rude - he got mad that I was holding my finger at a certain angle even though he was preventing me from moving it. He also snapped at me when he accidentally hit my nail on something (therefore messing it up) and told me it was my fault. My nails ended up looking fine, but the top coat literally chipped off the day after. It's now 5 days post getting my nails done and I've already removed them. Won't be coming back here, save your money (they aren't cheap!). read more
