This is a nice fast food style chicken joint. They primarily serve chicken sandwiches and chicken tenders. They have a private parking lot available for their patrons. There is a decent sized dining area to eat at. There is also an outdoor patio area in front of the place. If you are trying to be efficient with ordering your food, there is a drive through that you can take advantage of. I had limited interaction with the staff, mostly just placing my order, but they were nice enough when I did interact with them. You place your order at the counter and they will bring it to your table if you are dining in. I ordered the chicken sandwich of the week, the taco chicken, with a side of brussles sprouts. It took about 8 minutes for them to prepare my meal. It was fresh, hot and delicious. The brussels sprouts were so delicious. They were amazing. The sandwich was also very tasty. This is a very nice local restaurant and I am happy that I was able to check it out. They really do have the best chicken around. If I am ever in Des Moines again, I will definitely be checking this place out.

This chicken sandwich is a guaranteed hit and don't be afraid to give one with a twist, a try. Crab Rangoon is really good! However this trip I went with Mac and Cheese bowl with Nashville Hot sauce and it was delicious. The pickles added to the flare!

Good place to stop for a casual, quick bite with seating inside or a drive thru option. The staff is helpful, but everything is self serve. The combos we ordered includes a main (sandwich, wrap or salad) with a choice of a side and a drink. Highly recommend the Nashville hot chicken!

Amazingly delicious. The sandwiches were yummy and the location was clean. I think it was a good lunch choice

Food so filling we had to take half of it home!

The crabrangoon burger was phenomenal. Guy at counter was nice. The inside is very chill

Best chicken sandwich!!!! Charlotte's has a simple menu as well as creative weekly specials. It is great while dining in or going through the drive thru and the staff is happy to be there. Crab Rangoon sandwich or Nashville sandwich are my favs and the brussel sprouts are so good (also great ranch)!

Great chicken sandwiches . The tenders not so as it was overly salty . I could hardly taste the chicken . I have never tasted a tender so salty in my life . Why?!!! I love to love them but it might put me off from visiting again . Edges of the seat were filthy . I know because my son dropped his phone in there . If u have time please bring the seats out and clean them please

Charlotte's Kitchen is a good story - read the wall; it was a positive visit. This restaurant looked somewhat fast-food, and the order-taker was kind and helpful during our first Q&A. His information helped us make good choices. I enjoyed my perfectly seasoned chicken tenders with a tasty Charlotte sauce. My accompanying cole slaw was good. The interior has some fun artwork and community-related items, and I love the chicken feet upholstery. It's good 80s music, but I could have lived without the ads on the FM channel--plenty of on-site parking.

Staff were super friendly, service was very quick. I had the crab rangoon chicken sandwich, which was very tasty. The chicken was perfectly cooked and crunchy, the fries were also very good. Restaurant is very bright and open, looks like a great place to take a group of friends.

Simple. Great. Chicken Sandwich. The staff is the friendly, patient and kind. It was truly like you were being welcomed in to a family table. We were greeted by Aaron & he answered everyone of our questions as if we were the only customers - and it was packed! Board games were even available to help you stay awhile! The menu is simple, but the food was delicious. We tried several different chicken sandwiches and sides. The highlight in our group was the egg nog shake, made with AE egg nog, a local legend in itself. The crab rangoon chicken sandwich is popular. It's unique and tasted great. The bun is perfect and the chicken is fresh. To add variety to the menu, the introduce weekly specials that are rarely duplicated. This week's was a black truffle chicken sandwich. So good, I think it should stay on the menu.

Best chicken sandwich I've had in a long time! I visited from Omaha for a training, and was looking for a quick place with a drive through that wasn't fast food for dinner on the way home. It was Friday evening, so it was pretty busy but I still got through in 20 minutes or so, and it was worth the wait. I got a regular chicken sandwich and fries, I wanted to try one of the other ones but figured I didn't want a big mess in the car, ha. I can't wait to come back and try the crab Rangoon chicken sandwich, that sounded unique and like something I needed to try! The regular sandwich was great, the chicken was nice and plump and fried to a crisp perfection. The fries had an interesting seasoning, it didn't taste exactly like old bay but was similar, a hint of sweet with the savory. The guys working the drive through were helpful and friendly, and I can tell it's a loved neighborhood joint. I'll be coming back next time I'm in the area!

I am pretty sure we just found our new favorite local chicken sandwich. What once was a food truck had been a brick and mortar for some time. Finally, I decided to check it out on a Wednesday evening. Option for drive thru, but for our first time, we wanted to sit and enjoy. What used to be the local DQ back in the day is now a perfect setup for a walk-up counter order and small seating area. We were greeted kindly as we reviewed the menu on the wall. I like picking on the staff and asking if she's tried it all. She says she's just had the BBQ chicken. While I was thinking my hubby asked what the special sandwich was. It's on the menu with a question mark. Perfect for a rotator option. Right now, it was the Queso chicken. Hubby's eyes lit right up. He had made his choice. This made mine easier as I went with the most popular Crab Ragoon chicken sandwich. Everything looked bright ave clean from the counter as we ordered, which is a good sign. We both got meals. Both ordered fried chicken. Hubby upgraded his fries to cheese balls for an extra $2.00. You grab your number. You fill your drink at the machine. You grab a seat. We didn't wait for more than 10 minutes, and the food came out, and it was hot! They bring it to your table and you enjoy it. The piece of chicken in the beautiful bun is a real treat. It was really crispy and juicy on the inside We both enjoyed our meals. We both agreed that for the extra $2 there was a lot of cheeseballs. We filled up and decided we would be back. Highly recommend for a great fried chicken sandwich. Locally owned. Small business. Great story. Great job all around.

We were driving through from Colorado back to Minnesota and did everything right: ordered online a full 30 minutes ahead so we could just swing in and pick up. We arrive, my sister (who also ordered ahead online) is already walking out with her food. My brother orders in-person right when we get there, and his sandwich--plus two other walk-in customers' orders--come out before ours even starts being made. We ended up waiting over another 30 minutes. More than an hour total from when we placed the order. What is the point of online ordering if the system doesn't hold your spot in line and just lets in-store orders and later arrivals jump ahead of you? It completely defeats the whole purpose. Still... those sandwiches really were exceptional. Almost worth the headache.

Will be back for sure Best sandwich in a long time…read moreNo skimping on meat At a lot of sandwich places, I tend to order double meat. Just too much bread in proportion to meat at most places. No need to double up here. The Betty's was thick and juicy. Perfect proportion of bread to meat. Was somewhat reminiscent of a Cuban with mustard and pickles. Very light, almost falling apart bagel. They've got wide selections of sandwiches and honestly, you can't go wrong with any of them. The Manhattan is my go-to (Corned Beef, Ham, Salami, Coleslaw & Swiss with Mustard, Mayo & Pickle on an Onion Bun) but I always sub the onion bun out for a hero bun. Every flavor works well with each other, the coleslaw is sweet and contrasts well with the saltiness of the meats, the crunch from the pickle, and finally the mustard cuts into all of them for a beautiful clash of senses in your mouth. Other sandwich pictured is their Tuesday, it's a daily special sandwich you can get on any day. The special pricing won't apply if you get it on another day obviously. The Tuesday was hearty and the cheese on top of it was seasoned well. The peanut butter brownie, very decadent! I don't even like brownies but I always try to snag this one whenever I'm here! Service here is always prompt and helpful. The ambiance does a great job at pulling on the community aspect you feel at your local corner store in NYC.

My sister and I came to visit my mother in Des Moines and we decided we wanted Jersey Mikes for…read moredinner. Tonight has been my worst experience by far at any food place I have ever been to. We placed our order through the app as of 5:16pm. It said it would be ready by 5:30pm. I know it takes longer to make gluten free sandwiches because they have to clean the grill so I did not arrive until 5:45pm to pick up my food. When I got there hardly any customers were in the store. 2 people were in line to order and 2 people were standing waiting for doordash. I ended up waiting a few moments before asking if my order was ready around 5:50pm. They checked and found it had not even been started yet and that it was quite a few tickets behind the others for the grill. I was told it would be about 10 minutes by the kid who was working the register. The kid then went to check if he had told me correct by the guy on the grill. The guy went to check my ticket and started laughing saying, "yeah good luck with that. It's got gluten free. Its gonna be awhile." He then proceeded to make 8 sandwiches and none of them were mine. I had doordash drivers and other online pickup customers come in after me who received there food before me. I watched the guy on the grill move tickets that were behind mine forward. Someone obviously made a conscious decision not to fill my order in a timely manner because of the gluten free sandwiches. At 6:05pm I watched the guy on the grill finally start cleaning the grill. By 6:10pm he started making 2 gluten free sandwiches. And did not pay attention to the fact that #65 was not supposed to have jalepenos and yet seem to have a ton of them on the sandwich. By 6:21pm all sandwiches were done. The manager (Jasmine) tried to hand a cookie off to me and another customer who had been waiting almost as long as me. But considering I cannot eat it nor does that make up for waiting nearly an hour from the time my food was supposed to be ready I did not want it. The manager seemed to have a chip on her shoulder and kept throwing hateful looks towards my mother and me after we would not accept her offer. She then went back behind the counter pulled out her phone, messed with it for a bit then pulled some vouchers out. She offered us 2 of them for our 3 sandwiches. My mother would have accepted it as is if there would have been an apology attached with it. There was not. She thought it was more reasonable to have 3 vouchers since our order was for 3 sandwiches and the manager disagreed. All sandwiches were put in the same bag. I specifically put special instructions on my order for the gluten free sandwiches to be put in a seperate bag. I have never had any trouble with this at any other store. The manager said, "We don't do that." I explained that I have asked at other stores and had no problem. I was then told by the manager "Well you don't have to come here. You can go to another store. And you can leave." I feel like this was a personal attack and discriminatory against me due to my food allergies and I do not appreciate it. I was not asking for anything special just for the considerations that I know are in place by this company. Jersey Mike's as a company has practices in place to accommodate customers with food allergies but this employee seems to have decided to not provide your typical great service because of it.

We were just here a few weeks ago and I am so bummed to see they permanently closed!! We came during lunch and took advantage of their weekday lunch combo (Tues-Fri, 11am-2pm), which includes soup and a half grilled cheese. You can choose from the OG, Kick in the Cheese, or Fancy grilled cheese, plus either tomato basil bisque or the soup of the day. Honestly? A dream setup. I ordered the tomato basil bisque with a half OG grilled cheese, and wow... just wow. The soup was rich, flavorful, and perfectly balanced, and the grilled cheese delivered that classic, beautiful cheese pull moment you hope for (and rarely actually get). The cheese had the perfect amount of sharpness and subtle bitterness, balancing everything out so well without being overwhelming.. I seriously could go for one right now! Every bite was comforting and delicious, and I immediately wished I had ordered a full OG sandwich because it was that good. The combo was mouth‑watering, satisfying, and wildly exceeded expectations for a quick lunch stop.
