During a big rainstorm in 2022, it rained in our bedroom. Yes, it rained in our bedroom. Charles came out and examined the roof, and he identified the causes of the issues quickly. He explained clearly and answered all my questions, and he helped me see the issues with my own eyes so I could understand. He then gave me several options to repair or re-cover the roof. We discussed the options, and I asked him if we should also consider tearing the existing roof down to the studs and doing a full replacement. He gave me a very honest answer of what it would cost (a lot more) and that he didn't think that was necessary right now. He sold me what he thought was best for my roof, not the solution that would make him the most money. And he guaranteed his work for 15 years. When we inspected the roof again on the first day the crew began working, I found a few more concerning spots we hadn't seen on first inspection. Charles noted them and came up with solutions that worked, fit within our timeline and the budget. His crew worked quickly and did high quality work. They were all very kind and respectful of our house and our neighbors. I also dealt with Charles' son several times during the process - I believe he is taking over the business from his father. He was just as kind, patient, and respectful as Charles. I would recommend Charles and his company to anyone who needs roof work, whether you need a small patch or a full redo. Fantastic! Billy was amazing, professional, friendly and really great to work with. He quoted me a price that was very good to redo the ENTIRE roof after the recent winds damaged it. They Looked at every aspect of the roof and gave me the full break down of how it needed to proceeded. They did what they said they would do without a penny more. Excellent. From my very first impression, Charles Stewart and his son have been running an exemplary business. I will (and have) recommended them to anyone who is having any issues with water coming into their home from the outside. Even if the work doesn't end up being in their scope - they will give you their honest opinion and, if it is in their scope, they will give you a fair price and treat you as professionally as you could hope for. We have had water issues since we bought this (vacant) home about 6 years ago UNTIL we finally (and by "we," I mean "my wife") found Stewart Roofing. They were happy to patch our roof at a super reasonable price but I knew in the back of my mind I'd be chasing patches for ever (which is what it looked like was happening for the past 20 years). They gave us an excellent price on a full-membrane roof we've been working with them ever since. They are super responsive, will take a look when you're have an issue without a problem - often times its a relatively small fix and they treat you fairly each time. I've worked with more contractors and tradesmen than I ever thought I would and the good ones truly rise above the rest. Charles Stewart and Son are perhaps the best ones I ever worked with. I had a leak in my slate roof and went on Yelp to get some quotes for roof repairs. Bill White called me back on behalf of Charles Stewart Roofing. He set up an appointment to come by to take a look and give me an estimate. It turns out that Bill White and his business partner (also named Bill) are related to Charles Stewart and also have their own roofing company (Bill White Roofing). I mostly dealt the Bill White, so I'm posting this review under both companies. When the Bills came by, they gave me an estimate of how much it would cost to repair, as well as the price to replace the entire roof as it seemed like the aging roof was having more and more problems. They were very professional and never pushy and made sure to spell everything out so that there'd be no surprises once things began. In terms of pricing, their prices were fair. It wasn't the cheapest quote I received, but having been burned by a number of contractors in the past, I've learned that cheap prices get you cheap work. I hired them to replace the entire roof, and they had the job completed in a few days time (less than a week!). I think the best testament I can give is the fact that I hired them again to repoint the house. Again, the job was done well and done quickly. Any issues I had were dealt with immediately. They even came by on a weekend to make sure it got resolved right away. I only wish they also did electrical, plumbing, and HVAC. They would be my go-to guys for all things house related. read more

I had this company install a new roof on my residence after many leaks had appeared. After securing the job they sent sub contractors to do the job. Job finished in a few hours. Next big rain storm and there is a leak. Called several times to get them to show up and take a look. They come several times and leak does not get repaired. Finally bring in another roofer and spots problems from the ground and finds leak immediately. Removes back section of new roof and installs correctly. No more leaks. Don't take a chance. read more

They are not a good roofing company. They claim that they are flat roof specialists but they are NOT familiar with any of the newer (within the last 10 years) roofing materials or techniques. They are very sloppy and dishonest. Don't let the "family" talk fool you. Do not use them. You will have problems with your roof. They use the cheapest material available which will require you to do yearly maintenance. They do not know how to properly protect vent pipes. A professional roofer looked at a job they did for me and told me I was ripped off (I met him after Stewart Roofing had done the work). They left an area with a deep crevice that holds about 3 inches of water and will eventually become a leak. DO NOT USE STEWART ROOFING! read more

I have tried quite a few different roofers over the years , some lazy saying roof is fine we don't need to work on it to yeah we will take all your money and tell you there's tons of work needed, con artists, rip off artists , make believe roofers you name it ... I checked out Charles Stewart and co with nothing but good ratings A+ from BBB and slightly higher prices than some other roofers but not way more expensive... these guys were great..18 years after buying our house I finally found one of the best ! These guys were here exactly the minute I expected them, they were beyond kind, explained everything clearly and in detail ... took before during and after pics while they were working on the job... were quick but efficient and didn't stop until completely finished.... after patching up and flashing all the spots they could, they actually pumped the waterproofing silver paint through a hose up to the roof from a machine in their truck and went to work spreading it over the entire roof at the end.
