Great job, very honest, diligent and reliable people, they even came to measure on Sunday and reply emails on Sundays. and price is very reasonable. read more

Our 12 year old roof was leaking. Arnie first had one of his workers come over to check the roof out. That person gave me preliminary findings and showed me pictures of problem areas on the roof. Arnie came by another day to go over the requirements of what would be needed to install a new roof, his credentials and the guarantees offered. He then provided me an estimate that night. A few days later, his workers came, tore off the old roof, put new plywood throughout the whole roof, lined the roof and then shingled it. They had almost the whole roof done in a day, but did need a little time the next morning to finish up (which Arnie previously told me might happen). The workers were very professional, courteous, knowledgeable and worked hard. They left the property very clean. A few days after the new roof was installed, we had a few days of very heavy rain and the roof did great. I would highly recommend Arnie Blake for roofing. I would bet that his company's work in other areas are just as good. read more

Arnie was a pleasure to work with replacing our siding, windows, and doors. I reached out to several companies on Long Island and he was by far the most professional to work with. His quote was very competitive with the other companies and was definitely a great value for the work we needed. Meeting with him was the reason my husband and I decided to go with Blake. We wanted a company with a crew that works for them and we wanted a company that saw our vision of what we wanted for our home. His crew was on time, neat, and professional. Arnie was available anytime I called or texted, even on weekends. I cannot recommend this company enough!!! We now how the beautiful home we envisioned. read more

Based upon the great reviews for Blake Roofing ,I decided to give them a call. We set up an appointment for an estimate. A few days Arnie Blake arrived on time. We discussed the work that I wanted done and he took pictures and measurements. Arnie said that he would email me an estimate in a few days. So far so good...... After 4 days and no estimate I called. I spoke to a woman who answered the phone . She said she would have him call me. I waited 3 days, and called again. Same woman answered the phone but then he got on. He apologized and assured me that he would email me the estimate by the next day........he never did. After 2 weeks I hired another contractor, and got the job done. I dont know why Blake treated me in such an UNPROFESSIONAL manner. If he didn't want the job, all he had to do was say so, but instead he wasted 2 weeks of my time. read more

These guys are amazing! Arnie Blake is AMAZING! I have nothing but positive things to say. In fact, I am blown away by the speed, accuracy and quality of the work. You can tell from first meeting Arnie that he takes great pride in his work and is an all around honest and great guy. He took his time explaining every step showing me the quality materials he uses and how meticulous they are and don't cut corners. The quote came in very reasonably priced and from the moment I said "go", within a day, he had 14 workers on my roof. They completed the job in 1.5 days! I couldn't believe it! The final result is beautiful! Great work, great quality and guaranteed! After the job was over he told me to throw a check in the mail. So happy I chose the right company for this job! Thanks Arnie! read more

Outstanding and trustworthy service! My elderly mom's home was in need of new flat roof over the garage due to leaks, new front siding, new roof over the home and new gutters. Because she is elderly and very trusting, many have taken advantage of her in the past and as a result she has overpaid for work that was poor quality. After seeing her burned multiple times, I decided to step in and handle getting quotes as well as being present when the work was being done. Please note that I live in Michigan so the quotes and work had to be done around my availability. In terms of quotes, I received 3 quotes: 1. First one was from a company who said that they did not need to remove the fence on top of the flat roof to replace the roof. 2. Second one was from a company that quoted over the phone and said that they could see my home on Google Maps. 3. Third one from Arnie Blake who said that they would remove the fence to ensure the whole roof was replaced properly and ensure details such as having a small angled peak running from the chimney toward the edge of the home to prevent icing. The 3 quotes were comparable and of course, I went with Blake's quote. I went back to Michigan and we corresponded over email / text about any questions I had. He mailed me a brochure of the color choices which I appreciated because I have had companies just email me color choices in the past. I told him which weeks I was able to go back to NY and he let me choose the week that worked best for me. There were 4 different crews that worked on the home: 1. Roofing crew who worked non-stop and showed me some issues with the flat roof that needed to be addressed. They literally took no breaks and never went into the house to use the bathroom or get onto the flat roof. They used ladders to get onto the flat roof. They also came over at 7:30AM and waited in their van until they were allowed to get started at 8AM which I believe complies with NYC noise ordinance. They also had someone dedicated to constantly cleaning the yard of the debris. 2. Siding crew who were very efficient. Because only the front siding needed to be replaced, it did not take as much time as the roof. 3. Gutter crew who were very friendly and also got the job done efficiently. 4. Painter who painted the covering over the window that looked terrible after the facelift to the home. Originally, they were going to tack on foil but there was concern about having another conduit for leaks by doing so, since that area was already susceptible. Arnie personally reviewed the work each day and answered questions that I had. I could not have been more pleased with the work. If something should arise out of the work that was done, there is no doubt that he would get it addressed immediately (not that I believe some thing would happen). Please note that the week I went to NY, remnants from Hurricane Ophelia damaged the front storm / security door & closer. He was willing to send over his door guy to review but after we both reviewed the door in more detail, it looks like a new door is in order. I am happy to have him do this work too because I know it will be done right. And because of the trust that I have of him and his crew, I will not have to drive from Michigan to NY to oversee the work. read more

We had a major leak due to the storm just 2 months into our new home which had a 20 yr old roof. We met with a lot of contractors who gave us ridiculous estimates and dirt cheap estimates with no proper grantee and a 5 day job. The president Arnie blake came to visit us and was the first contractor to point out what the issue with the old roof was. We had a low pitch roof which was done incorrectly and suggested a flat roofing material for that section and how we can ensure this damage would not happen again. I must mention the materials used towards my roof was the very same the most expensive industry contractors are using, the so called patented products (by GAF). I was very happy with the very fair estimate Arnie provided and extremely happy to learn that it was the same high end products that i was looking to use for our roof. Arnie, i cannot thank you and your company enough for all the work you guys did. The team of roofers came in at 8:00 AM and were done by 3:00 (with a one hour lunch break) which i was told was a minimum 2 day job by other contractors. I am glad that i don't have to do my roof work again. But if i had to do this all over again, i would do it with no one other than Blake. A big thank you, for being there for late night questions and quick text responses to all the doubts. I am glad we met. You truly made it very easy for us. read more

I went through about 15 companies that specialize in roofing and siding to complete my house after my original contractor ripped me off by doing a botch job on my roof and siding, unfortunately no one wanted the job. I went to yelp as last resort and that's when I came across Blake windows, siding and gutters. Arnie Blake inspected the job and in the process of his inspection, Arnie Blake educated me on the steps of applying a new roof and siding. Customer service was fit for a king/ President. He went out his way to answer all questions and continued to inform me on the status of the work to the end. Arnie Blake is a blessing from God. Not only did I found a great contractor but I made a friend. read more

Arnie made all our house dreams come true! His company was the most thorough, flexible and fairly priced that we came across in the long process to find some one to replace our 33 year old siding & windows and triple layered roof. He worked with us to make sure we got exactly what we wanted, providing pictures and samples and giving great solutions when something we wanted was out of our budget. Arnie was super responsive and does everything he says he's going to do, whether it's dropping off samples, days/times for work, etc. Even when things didn't go as planned (we were scheduled for work to begin right when COVID-19 hit NY hard), Arnie kept us updated every step of the way and made sure we were happy. He made sure to go over all the work himself at the end and addressed any small issues we had effectively. We look at our house with joy everyday and are so pleased we went with Blake Windows, Siding & Roofing! Highly recommended! read more

Blake Windows, Siding & Roofing - New windows, siding & roof!! So pleased - Roofing Near Me - New Hyde Park, New York

Blake Widows, Siding, & Roofing just completed the siding and leaders & gutters on my small Cape-Cod-style house in Lynbrook. They did a fantastic job. Amazing detail work was done around pipes, railings, electric connections, windows, roof lines, a dormer, and doors. Arnie Blake, the owner, stopped by several times to inspect the work. He is a delight to work with. The clean-up at the end of each day was great. Blake reached my highest expectations. I am not looking forward to the next LI hurricane, but I do believe this siding will hold up, not just then, but for decades to come. read more

Absolutely fantastic experience from estimate to job completion. Arnie's estimate was fairly priced and he was very thorough. I can't say enough about how easy it is to work with Arnie and how beautiful our house looks now. We had our whole house resided and put in 12 new windows. Arnie was always available throughout the process to answer any questions and was very patient and professional. All of the workers were professional and patient as well, fully explaining everything and addressing any concerns we had. We had our roof done by Arnie 7 years ago, have recommended him to family and friends, who were also very happy with his work and knew that his company would be the best to do our siding. Professional concrete results This is our second time using this company and let me tell you I research and look around at reviews including the BBB and took a chance the first time when they repaired our dilapidated back roof and we were so very please then. Arnie the Manager walked us thru the plans to repair and finish our kitchen we needed walls painted, stone tiles installed for our back-splash Brian his installer/contractor suggested that we install the High Hat lights instead of replacing the old florescence light fixture that hung from the ceiling. That change really helped modernize our kitchen. Brian or any of his workers arrived every morning on time and cleaned up daily until the job was done. It's hard to find good honest contractors we know thru other things we have had done in our home. Arnie at Blake is a breath of fresh air. They will get the job done right. read more

I recently had the siding on my home replaced and BLAKE did a fantastic job. I met with several contractors and was very impressed with Arnie personally. He was very informative and thorough with his explanations regarding the work that needed to be done and what it entailed. He was present daily overseeing his crew, who btw we're courteous , neat and hardworking. With a high recommendation I would rate his company a 6 out of 5 stars. The reviews I read prior to calling him were 100% accurate. I also took into consideration that it's his name representing a several decades run business. That to me says a lot. I had 2 minor things which needed to be done and were taken care of within a day or 2. Also, any questions or inquiries I had during the job if I missed seeing Arnie here he promptly either called or texted me back within an hour. If his company is a candidate for your job.. We had to have our 20 year old tired looking roof replaced. We contacted four companies. Arnie was the last to give us a quote. Blake window and siding did a amazing job on our house. My wife and I are very particular about contractors especially after having a problem with a few. We had called and received about 8 quotes for siding for our home. The prices ranged from 12k to 22k. Then we had the pleasure of meeting Arnie. He was extremely patient with us as far as deciding on color. We must have taken about a month to decide on color, and he dropped off every color we requested with no hesitation. The work was started on time and took about a week to complete for a one story home. The old siding was removed as well as some brick in the front and the new house wrap, insulation, windows and siding went up. The windows were installed neatly as they were in a finished part of our home. Tarps were laid down and the crew cleaned up nicely after themselves every day. Any requests we asked of Arnie and his team were addressed immediately. His staff was patient when questions were asked and took the time to explain the process to us. Annie's first concern was our satisfaction with his work, his last concern was when he was getting paid. That spoke volumes to me about the company that I was hiring. It is comforting to know there are still contractors that are more concerned with their work than they are with getting paid. I will recommend Arnie (Blake Siding) to any friends and family who are looking to have work done on their home, that is not something I have done with any other contractors I have come in contact with until I met him. Very professional, highly recommended. read more

Highly recommend!! Working with Arnie was a pleasure from beginning to end. He is attentive, thorough, and very accessible. He has great follow through; he does what he says he's going to do when he says he's going to do it. We had some delays with our project due to our solar company's negligence (nothing to do with Blake Roofing) and Arnie was patient and put us at ease. He is always a quick text away and replies promptly. On the day of the job he stopped by mid-way and at the end. Clean up was very impressive and the job looks good. Price was great (better than others), which was the cherry on top. I'll be recommending them to every homeowner I know, and will certainly use them again for windows or siding if we ever need. read more

If you are looking for an outstanding siding company that will transform the exterior of your home into a showplace, look no further! After doing a tremendous amount of research into five other siding companies, which included the company that had done my entire exterior 30 years ago, we decided to contract with Arnie Blake. We had seen 5 of his most recent renovations, and had been fortunate enough to speak with 4 of the 5 homeowners. We can confirm what every one of them told us, which was that Arnie and his wonderful crew came everyday, worked diligently and expertly, and cleaned up the property at the end of each day. The foreman, Osmond, is extremely knowledgeable and answered every question that I had as the job progressed. I am a detailed oriented person, and I was so pleased with the attention to detail and the level of expertise that enabled the entire crew to create such a beautiful exterior. I would not hesitate to call Arnie to replace windows, my roof, anything that has to do with the exterior of my home. Arnie is a wonderful gentleman to work with, extremely accommodating, and most importantly, he is a man of his word. read more

Blake Windows, Siding & Roofing: I'm very pleased with the restoration of the fascia, gutters and leaders on my 92 y.o. house. The crew are efficient and courteous master craftsmen. Worked w/ Arnie to have old gutters taken off and new gutters installed. He was patient with us as we took a while to decide on which company to use. He answered all questions via email and on the phone (whichever was more convenient for us). Job was done professionally and appears to be done well as it's been a few months and no issues. Only downside is that it does sometimes take him a while to reply via email, but I honestly think that is just a generational thing. I use my email like texting and he probably uses it more conventionally. Would definitely recommend him to others and use him again if needed. read more

We needed a new roof, gutters and window capping. After contacting Blake Windows, Siding and Roofing, the owner, Arnie Blake, came promptly to our home and provided us with a detailed explanation of how the work would be done. What impressed us from the start was his genuine interest in outlining the best possible approach to improving the look and function of our house. All questions were answered, indeed encouraged- so that there was clarity in the expected outcome. What is so exceedingly special about Mr. Blake is his integrity and the obvious caring attitude he displays toward his customers. There was not one time when he did not return a call in a timely manner or arrive when promised. In this age of "buyer beware" with unscrupulous contractors running amok, it is truly a breath of fresh air to encounter a businessman like Arnie Blake. It is often said that the leader sets the tone for how a business is run. Well, Mr. Blake's workers reflected his same professionalism and attention to detail. They arrived on time, installed the materials correctly, respected the owners' property and worked excellently as a team. The cleanup procedure went without a hitch. It was a first class operation. There is absolutely no doubt that we would recommend Blake Windows, Siding and Roofing. We are thoroughly pleased with the results of the project. Our house looks beautiful with a brand new roof that complements the color of our home (thanks to Mr. Blake's helpful suggestion). After a recent rain, we saw that all the work that had been done protected the house from water intrusion. The entire experience has been beyond outstanding from start to finish! read more

We had a terrific experience with Blake Roofing. Our single family home in Whitestone was overdue for a new roof as the existing one was nearly 30 years old. Owner Arnie Blake met with us and gave us a detailed explanation of the process in about 45 minutes. His estimate was lower than one other bid and about the same as another bid. We are happy we chose Blake because the work was done two weeks later in just a day and a half, including new gutters. Mr. Blake observed the work parts of both days to ensure all went well. We are very happy with the appearance of the new roof and gutters and have peace of mind going forward for years to come. We highly recommend. read more

I had my stucco/cedar shingle bungalow resided by the Blake company in the fall. I could not be more satisfied. Arnie, the owner, walked around the entire house pointing out all the things I had to do before the job: fence was too close to the house, a pipe had to be moved, other pipes had to be extended. All of thse changes were minor and led to a finished project that was more polished since the siding did not have to be pieced around the obstructions. My house was a complex job as it was stucco with recessed windows and lots of angles. Arnie came back a second tone with the installer before giving me the estimate, which was beyond fair. The work was completed quickly and neatly. A neighbor recently commented on how impressed he was by the workers and the job they did. The best part is the way the installers covered all of the unattractive wires and pipes. I am looking forward to using Blake for future projects! read more
