Ok y'all! Y'all know the drill. If you have read my other reviews, you know I'm originally from Philly. Been in Greenville for close to 3 years, yada yada yada. I love my Greenville, but I still go hard for Philadelphia. Anytime I see Philly anything, I expect it to be a replica of the original. So far, I have been disappointed with what Greenville offers in it's salute to Philly foods. Charley's trying to stomp with the BIG DOGS when they say they make Philly cheesesteaks! Anyhoo, today is a lazy Saturday. No one felt like cooking, and we've wanted to try Charley's for a while now. So we tried them today via Postmates. Did Charley's pass the test?!?! I would say, "yes"! Now, I can't say it's a true replication of the Original Philly Cheesesteak, but it's the closest compared to others I've tried in Greenville. My husband and son got the Philly Cheesesteak and I got the Chicken Philly w/green peppers and American cheese. It was very tasty. The roll was soft and fresh, and the meat was flavorful and cheesy. My husband enjoyed his as well. My son is taking his to work. Everything was packaged well, and delivery took about 30 minutes. They lost a point because I was specific with how each order should be made, and they did not follow the selections or special instructions. Each order was made the same with toppings we didn't even ask for. Will we try them again? Yes, but next time we will go in to make sure they make it how we want it. read more

We ordered the chicken Philly via doordash. The bread was not toasted, there was very little chicken and the melted cheese/salad dressing leaked into the box. I usually enjoy the food. This was one of the worst lunch experiences I've ever had. For starters, the cheese steak was really not good, I just chalked that up to a learning experience. But next, my Coke Zero has a buttery film on it and lining the cup (see the pics) and then I found TWO hairs in my fries. (See pic for the one buried under them all, the other was embedded in the cheese). Unfortunately, I am traveling and already back on the road before making this discovery or else I would have gone back and demanded a refund. I will not be eating at one of these places again, and I hope I have saved you some trouble as well. read more

We went to the one at Haywood Mall. The staff was busy talking with friends and refilling their drink cups from other restaurants. We were totally ignored and 2 other couples behind us just walked off also. I will never attempt to order from their again. Hopefully they will go out of business from lack of sales and a restaurant with better staff will take their place read more

Great Philly! Cooked while you watch. Really hot fries. Fresh ingredients in the sandwich. No complaints with this fast food. They give unlimited drink refills... Have a frequent customer card. I visited this restaurant and had to get my money back after waiting in line for 20 minutes when there were only 2 people in front of me. The cook kept burning steaks and throwing them away. However, that's not what really made me want to leave. The worker on the end that assembles the sandwich and wraps it had gloves on and she kept scratching her scalp and then touching the sandwiches. Best food spot in the mall for some greasy delicious cholesterol filled meal. The philly cheesesteak just can't be beat. I love how they melt the cheese perfectly on the meat before putting in the bun. They'll ask if you want mushrooms, onions and peppers. I say yes. Then they'll ask if you want lettuce, tomatoes and mayo. I say no mayo. That's my perfect sandwich. But be aware, depending on who is working the vegetable section; sometimes they put a pickle in there. A PICKLE. I have never heard of a philly cheesesteak with pickles but I remove them as soon as I get my food. Fries are good and the strawberry lemonade is refreshing and sweet as can be! read more

In the eyes of a plain cheese steak food hunter... Beef is not grounded..thank gawd. Yum yum. They dont use oil on their grill. They even have malt vinegar bottle...aka my non allergic vinegar for sauce sitting right there...interesting! When you develop new food allergy you start noticing everything about food that you never noticed before. Then you have strange requests that can annoy cookers. You become one of those crazy people...um no salt...no pepper...no vegetable...um what oil do u cook with...etc...I know ppl want to say shut up n eat the plain steak. Lol. Lucky to have 1 star. Very rude and smart mouth employees that look like there only there to get a paycheck. Have no respect or consideration to customers whatsoever. I ask nicely and be polite for ordering something or asking for someone but they roll their eyes and talk back like they aren't taught manners. When they are grown woman working there. I don't know who hired or who the manager is. But they need to be taught respect and taught had to do their job! You get paid to give customer service. Not to mention condiments and utensils were out of stock and filled with dirt and trash everywhere on the counter. Asking for a refill takes 20 minutes while they stare into your soul and ignore you when asking for one. Awful. Awful. Awful. McDonalds is a 5 star restaurant compared to here. Will never spend my money on crappy service again. Come here if you like to be in line for 30 minutes just for a sandwich. Food wasn't even that bad, it was pretty good. But the environment sucks. They don't know how to clean there station or the area where they place the food. Doesn't look presentable. Staff is the worst part. I'm paying for the service so I expect it to be good. Like I said, go to McDonald's it's 100% more worth it. At least there attitude doesn't suck and there not having a smart mouth. read more

Saw the sign for a Philly Cheese Steak and got a craving. While there was a line, they looked to be adequately staffed. However, this turned out to be the worst fast food experience that I can recall. To start, there were 6-7 orders ahead of mine, but it took 23 minutes from the time my order was placed before mine was prepared. That is an eternity in the fast food world. It turns out that I had arrived 20 minutes before a shift change. The person running the grill was working in slow motion only preparing one order at a time. What she was serving looked very unappetizing, so I was 2nd guessing my decision to succumb to my craving for a Philly Cheese Steak. After waiting and watching her cook for 15 minutes her replacement came out from back. He took 4-5 minutes to clean the grill and stock product. Then he got underway. He immediately put enough on the grill for the next 5 orders. He cleared the backlog of orders in a matter of 10 minutes. When I finally received my food, I certainly was thankful that mine was prepared by the fresh crew and not the tired out crew. The cheese steak was just I expected. It is a shame that operationally this team could not deliver service to go with the sandwich. read more

Normally I give places a couple of chances before I complain about them. But I come to the mall a good bit and this place has consistently given me a problem EVERY time. They must not know how to prepare their own food because they often leave off toppings or put on toppings you did not want. They ALWAYS screw up orders. You can sit down and watch 90% of the people getting their food ask for them to put on items that ARE ON THE MENU that come with your meal. And the service is extremely rude. Don't waste your time with the wait or the overpriced menu. Walk down to Chic Fil A. You won't regret it read more

I had the BBQ cheddar cheese steak. It was delicious! It was a little crowded but my order came out fast. They also cook right in front of you. That's a plus. The wait to take my order was pretty slow. Either the people ahead of me ordered a lot of food or they were just ringing up customers slowly. Once I got up there, he rang me up fast. This place is definitely open, I go there all the time. If anything they recently provided great customer service, going above and beyond what I had expected. Great food, great staff, and great new manager turning the place around. I normally never do reviews for places, especially if its not some high end restaurant.
