My wife my son and myself took a drive here on a Saturday night to check out this place. We got there and were told it would be close to 35 minutes for waiting. We waited around 15-20. We got the croissants and cheese fries as apps. They both were good. I got the loaded pepperoni pizza and she got a pasta. My son splurged and got a brownie sundae. The food was good and a lot of it. The server was so nice but as soon as she brought the order out a bug crawled out and the server quickly killed it and told me she would out my food in another box as the bug didn't touch it. Wow. This place was absolutely disgusting. I ordered a well done burger, and I'm pretty sure that thing would have still been mooing. My fiancé got the ribs. They tasted burnt not smoky, not anything good, but burnt. The potato soup wasn't worth the bowl that it was served in. And it wasn't even that busy. We wanted to sit somewhere out in the open and they sat us in the back with nobody back there completely quiet, not sure. If it was because we were 2 men that were a little bit fruity, but who knows. We never got our silverware either and had to ask another worker to get us some. After getting our food we were never really checked up on and had to wait a while for refills. She crab soup was the best I've had since Tilghman Island, MD. Baked potato soup was also divine. The prime ribs, ordered rare, even late in the evening were still perfectly rare as we like them. Au jus wasn't overwhelming but perfectly complimentary. Baked potatoes were cooked to perfection. My husband who normally seasons everything didn't even reach for the salt and pepper the whole meal. Caesar salad was perfectly dressed, although a bit more Parmesan forward and creamy. Only thing that wasn't perfect for me, but I'm sure it's enjoyed by many, many others. We were down in Greenville to hit the mall and this is always our go to for lunch. The staff is always friendly and the atmosphere is nice and casual. When I call the restaurant during evening hours the individuals that answer the phone are always rude and as soon as they pick up the immediately say please hold. they say that before even asking how may they help. My husband and I went for lunch on Thursday and we were treated so wonderfully. Our waitress Alisha was excellent. We had a very slight issue with one of our entries and the manager came over to our table to discuss. He treated us so well. I can't say enough about the great customer service we had. We arrived around 6-6:30 on a Friday evening. We were seated right away and we're greeted promptly. I ordered a beer which took well over 10 minutes to arrive. Truthfully, it was much longer. There are 3 items on the kids meal. Our server stated "you can always order an entree." Well, yes, but seems a bit unreasonable for a 6 year old and not very accommodating to families. My son did get the grilled Chicken sandwich (minus the bread and toppings) with French fries. I had the Kodiak Chicken. Our meals were fine and filling. When placing our dinner order I also ordered another beer. It never arrived. Our server checked on it, but at this point we were finished and ready for the check. There was not what I would consider a typical Friday evening crowd, but that may be an oversight on my part. All in all, the menu was lacking options. After attending the TSO concert, four of us stopped by for dinner. This has been one of our favorites, especially their salads. We had eaten junk food at the concert, so we were not that hungry. We waited less than 10 minutes to be seated. One in our party ordered the sirloin dinner with collard greens. He said the steak was very good. The three of us ordered a side salad and a cup of the cream of potato soup. Once again, the salads with house dressing were fantastic. They serve them with a croissant roll which was also tasty. On the other hand, the soup was not traditional potato soup. It tasted as if they had taken the broth of she-crab soup and dumped in a bunch of diced potatoes. One in the party liked the combination but the other two could not finish the serving. Our server was great, and the atmosphere was very upbeat. Found them on American Airlines Dining rewards so gave them a try. Really nice interior. Host wasn't friendly, but no matter. Kenzie my server was VERY nice, attentive and brought drink refills without asking. I got there before 6pm so ordered off early bird menu (wasn't offered an Early Bird menu, so if you are there 4-6pm you should ask for it). I knew about it from website. Ordered the Kodiak Chicken with mixed vegetables. It comes with side salad, but it was very generous in size! Had their house dressing (bacon/honey mustard) which was delicious! The chicken has a great taste, which compensated for smallish portion (6 oz). The vegetables were really good and plentiful. I ordered takeout to bring to my hotel, I waited at the bar. The atmosphere was a Ten out of Ten! Cozy, warm, inviting... nice staff, fast service. I ordered the fillet mignon collards and fried onion straw (?), it was so good! However, small complaint... the plastic fork and knife were so flimsy I couldn't even use them to cut my meat. My advice to the restaurant (and I get it... you are designed for eat-in), make an investment to get more sturdy cutlery for your carryout customers, this meal was expensive, I'm sure your customers don't mind paying a dollar extra for the thicker plastic. This was the fourth time I've been here, and this was the best meal I've had as of yet. It was made quickly and our server was gracious and kind. I absolutely love the Blackened Chicken Alfredo. My only regret is that I left the leftovers in my grandparents' fridge so I won't be able to enjoy this amazing food more. Everyone should try this meal at least once. This review is based wholly on one trip to the Greenville location. Generally, I hold back the heavy weapons on reviewing a restaurant based on one visit alone. However, this restaurant so catastrophically failed in every way, they don't deserve a second try. My family and I were traveling back to Knoxville after visiting with family in SC and decided to stop in at this establishment. At first appearance, everything looked great. Cosmetically this restaurant was pleasing to the eye. The ambiance inside seemed happy and inviting. My family and I were geared up for a tasty meal. We walked in the door at around 445pm on 12/29/2023. No one was hosting. One of the barkeeps (who was very nice) said hi to us and told us someone would be up shortly. We were seated at a booth for 4 as that was the only thing they said they had to fit 5 people. I state this as a potential problem to some. This was not a factor in my rating of this restaurant. My daughter is tiny so it wasn't a big deal. We put in our order of fairly simple dishes. Our appetizer salads came out pretty quickly. Aside from the fact that this restaurant fries their croutons for some reason, the salads were just fine. Approximately sixty minutes passed and I flagged down a waitress. I asked her politely for a possible ETA on our food (It was that same short statured barkeep again. She needs a raise). She went in the back and said your food will be out in 10 minutes. Clearly, they'd forgotten our order. It came out in around 10 minutes. Of the 5 of us, one of us got our order correct. We just went with it. My daughter got a grilled cheese with black (not dark. I'm not being dramatic. BLACK) toast. It was completely inedible. She ate the mashed potatoes. I got a grilled chicken sandwich which came hard as a rock and also black. I ate what I could of it. My fries were ice cold. My dad's meal was simply missing a condiment. My mom's meal was correct. My wife's meal was missing a side. I'm generally not a restaurant basher, but HOLY CRAP. Lunch with 3 of my nieces and my great great nephew was a lot of fun. I haven't dined at Copper River since the one in Easley closed. Copper River opens at 11:30, and it wasn't very crowded when we got there, but business started picking up as we were leaving. I usually get the spinach nachos as an appetizer, but it's no longer on the menu. I think it was replaced with a pimento cheese appetizer called Maw Maw's Pimento Cheese. I was a lot disappointed about my favorite appetizer be removed off of the menu. My nieces' orders bacon ranch cheese fries and chicken quesadilla. The fries were good, the chicken quesadilla on the other hand was not worth the $13 it cost. The chicken was dry and really thin. Maybe they're better depending on the time of day or who is cooking, but Friday at 11:50 am was a hot mess. For my entree I got the Copper River Salad with the house dressing of honey mustard/ hot bacon combination. The salad was good, but a little different from what I remembered, the ham seemed to be a different type of ham than my earlier visits. Would I go back? We visited for the first time today for lunch. We ordered the chips and jalapeño cheese dip as an appetizer. The chips came out soaking wet from grease. They were so greasy the dip slid right off them. I asked the server if they were always that greasy and she responded yes. I told her that they were inedible and she said that maybe they were a little more greasy than usual, and asked if I wanted another batch. Worst dinning experience ever! We took our mom on Mother's Day. Our waitress was so very bad no interaction, horrible CX service we had to get other waitresses to get her 3 x, for water, my steak, then for steak sauce!! She did not understand us so she went and got someone to answer our drink order questions. My steak was well instead of medium, so I sent it back the waitress then came with my loaded mash potatoes that was on my plate in a bowl and told me to eat that until my steak was ready! When my second steak came it was so chard that I could not eat it even after I drowned it with steak sauce, my mom then said she didn't want to say anything but hers was so chard to the point it tasted sour and burnt. We did not receive an apology from the manager/owner maybe only the excuse that its Mothers Day they have been busy the cooks and waitresses are tired and ready to go home and so was he! So mom ended up grabbing a burger from Mc D's and I stopped and got her a cheese cake from Lowes grocery because also not offering an apology we weren't offered dessert either only the bill as if it would be to much time because they were tired mind you this was at 8:40 when we left ! Waitress was very nice and courteous, first thing we noticed when we sat down was the prices of their items were overally priced for just copper River, I understand inflation but the prices were insane for something so small. My fiance ordered Bbq Nachos and usually it's one of their biggest sellers and we were not impressed at all! The chips were burnt & stale, the chicken wasn't seasoned, overcooked, very dry, and wasn't chopped it was shaved chicken, also no cheese on the nachos. My wife and I took a ride to Greenville, SC so we could dine at one of our favorite restaurants. Since the one in Asheville closed, this is the nearest one to us at about 1:15 away. It turns out that both of us craved the same menu items that we have missed, the house salad and the prime rib. The house salad has CR's very own house dressing, honey mustard with hot bacon dressing. If you ever had it you'd know why we missed it so much. Plus, their prime rib is still the best that we have ever had. We also both got the loaded baked potato. Additionally, we got to visit our friend and manager from the Bonefish Grill. Waited a long time, and the prime rib came out, with no salads.. mine was the wrong cut, and overcooked. I sent it back. In town for work with two other colleagues, they ordered the prime rib and I ordered the smoked wings. When the food was delivered to the table there was a horrible rancid smell. After a few bites of the steak, they discovered it did not taste right. The smell was so bad that I could not eat my wings, which were fried not smoked by the way. The manager came over and took the plates and stated she would investigate, but never returned. Our meals were comped but not the appetizers. One colleague did get sick during the night. Clarification: I always make try my best to look for some positive aspects in a restaurant even if my experience may be unpleasant but man Copper River had none to offer. I really don't know what has happened to this place in the few years I didn't go back. Passing by, I remembered how delicious their food used to be a couple years back. Being the nostalgic person that I am, I decided to grab takeout since they were packed and busy. The order took around 40-50 minutes to receive. I ordered the Steakhouse Nachos, two Filet Mignon meals with their House Salad, Cheesy Mashed Potatoes, Baked Sweet Potato and broccoli. Starting with the Steakhouse Nachos, the steak was super burnt to the point where they were black. There's no way the person who cooked it didn't know it was burnt unless they were cooking while blindfolded with a clogged nose. They somehow still deemed it acceptable to serve (they definitely weren't). The croissants that came with the salads were flattened to the height of a smart phone. Both the filet mignons lacked any seasoning and flavor. The quality of the meat was good but the cook sadly lacked the skills to prepare them right. One of my absolute favorite sides to order anywhere is baked sweet potato fully loaded but I found myself sorely disappointed when I saw what they gave me. Their definition of loaded was just butter??? The least they could have done was put brown sugar but nope. Paid $100 for a meal that screamed no effort. Never ever coming back here again.
