I will say I do not know the music schedule as sometimes when I come there is no live music. The wait for this place can get insanely long and it is justified why it gets so long. Come here, put your name in and have a plan for the wait. I would recommend coming early. They do have a very small waiting room where you can order drinks, but a table being open is extremely unreliable. I feel Murrys is a staple of Columbia that everyone should try once.

The fresh croissants with honey butter and a large drink to start then get some appetizers like the onion rings. There are so many options and each portion is large so don't let your eyes get ahead of your stomach. I got the painkiller cocktail that is just straight liquor so there is a limit of 2 per customer so please drink responsibly. Try the flavored lemonades and ice teas as you get unlimited refills which is a great deal! The fried white fish was so crispy and flavorful. I paired it with the green beans and sweet carrots. My companion got the smokehouse bacon burger and that sauce was amazing! If you save room, get the giant carrot cake or skillet cookie! This restaurant is very dark on the inside so it can be hard to see perfectly. There were ample accessible parking spots. The flooring is a little slick but all one level which is nice. The bathrooms were a little hard to navigate due to the heavy doors and locking mechanism.

We shared the chicken wrap meal as well and it is a very large portion, enough for two people or two meals!!

They brew their own beer and it was all super tasty. The bartender was also nice enough to give me a small sample of two of the beers so I can decide which I wanted to have with my meal. My friend and I shared a pizza, a platter of wings, and a burnt ends plate. First of all- I was shocked how good the pizza was. Given I'm originally from NJ, I'm a bit of a pizza snob. But it was actually quite tasty. The platter of wings was solid. Not the biggest wings in the world, but the plate came with a bunch and the sauce was really good. And the burnt ends were phenomenal. Super tender, lots of flavor. The place itself was very lively- lots of happy, talking people getting ready for the night. Certainly a place to come to feel "energy". I was certainly overly stuffed after this meal- would come back again!

On this visit, we shared the fried cheese curds and the brisket grilled cheese! We also happened to stop by for a jazz night, which was such a fun surprise. The live music totally elevated the atmosphere and made the evening feel special. That said, there's still a bit more they could do with the space -- it would be great to see more regular live music or special events to bring even more life to the room. Prices are a bit higher than average for Columbia, but for the quality, atmosphere, and local charm, it's worth it. Great beer, great food, great people -- a solid 4 stars!
