Had really high hopes for this place after a long day on the road. The menu looked inventive and…read moreamazing. Things started out well, the BF had a tasty Manhattan and I had a mocktail that was subtle and delicious, and not overpriced as mocktails often are. But alas. The house salads that we ordered were overdressed in a vinaigrette so acidic we couldn't finish them. And there wasn't much to them. Other than greens and fried shallots and pickled red onions, there was a tiny dusting of some finely grated cheese. And who needs two kinds of onions and nothing else on the salad? Then we each had a bowl of the matzo ball soup, which was ridiculous. Three matzo balls sitting in a quarter-inch of broth that was so unbelievably salty that we couldn't eat that either. We ended up asking for hot water to dilute the broth to a level of saltiness that was edible. The chicken was okay and the matzo balls were okay. A little gummy. But the broth was just awful. It all made me wonder if the chef had lost their sense of taste due to Covid or something. Seriously. I've had that happen to me a couple of times and all I could taste was really basic stuff like sour and salt. And our waitress was totally uninterested in trying to make our experience better. She wasn't rude, she was just indifferent to the fact that we'd been served two courses that we absolutely couldn't eat. Didn't offer us anything to compensate or even express any sympathy about it. We got out of there as fast as we could and made ourselves feel better with an Andy's frozen custard.

Venue rocked, charcuterie was super solid, service was really good, top notch h spirits…read more Unfortunately, the steak was tough and chewy. Bummer. It could have been one tough rib eye in the drawer. Luck of the draw sometimes. Nonetheless, I will gladly go back. It is a creative and dynamic place.

I had a chimichunga for my meal. Ir was pretty good. I would definitely eat here again given the opportunity. I recommend the restaurant to all Yelpers if you are in the area. Our waitress seemed to be solo and she was kind but ended up leaving before our meal was through, at which time we were reassigned to a waiter who came out of the kitchen maybe twice for the entirety of the remainder of our visit. (We tried to close and tip out our original waitress but we were shaken off and told that the tip would go "under her name" - I've been a waitress before and it's never worked that way for me but I guess every establishment is different) We eventually flagged our new waiter over to ask for the check because we had been done for so long (we literally already had a to go box and our stuff packed up from when the other waitress had left). The restaurant had an odd smell as well, like an underlying sewage issue maybe - not great for a food establishment. Overall, while the drinks were delicious, I've had much better Mexican in Columbia for a better price with substantially better service (and free parking). I don't know that this would go on my list of places that I have to visit again.

On a whim we tried Addison's out. I've heard of it on KBIA and wanted to put a place to the name…read more The food was good. The coffee was the taste of disappointment, cold and bitter. Our server was very pleasant, but slow to get orders and never refilled our drinks. The restaurant was well decorated, clean and had a chill vibe. I would go back as the food was good, and hopefully the server was just having a rough day. I had the pesto tortellini. It was very good, and the portion size was very big. It would have been nice to have a piece of bread or a salad with it. My son got a chicken sandwich with fries and it was very good you said. The fries were tasty.
