Went there on a Tuesday evening because I rad that it is supposed to be one of the best restaurants in Columbia. The place was empty yet service was slow. We were a group of 3 and I ordered a soup and a chicken larb. For some reason, after a long wait they brought out all the food together rather than bringing the soup out first as you would expect. The larb was served with a slice of salad leaves 1" thick. I have never seen that before at any Thai restaurant. It is supposed to be individual leaves so you can put the chicken in the leaf and eat it almost like a taco. The servers were very nice but mostly busy chatting with each other. Probably would try someplace else next time. read more

The ambience is plain, but modern. We had the cucumber salad and the fresh rolls for an appetizer. The rolls were served with a sweet n'sour sauce in addition to the usual peanut sauce. Then we had the Kao Soi noodles, which were terrific. Everything was very fresh and the servers were all so friendly. We will come again when in Como. read more

Really solid Thai food! I came here once before when visiting my sister and was looking forward to coming back during my recent trip. Although they are now under new management the food was still just as good. I got the garlic stir fry and my sister got the drunken noodles. Both were so delicious. You can also order drinks here which were good too. read more

Pleasantly surprised by this restaurant. Small narrow place. There is an upstairs, I think, but it wasn't open. Service was great. Classic Thai offerings. I do want to request a Duck dish. I was really impressed with the depth of flavor. The food was really good. The portions could have been a little bigger. The food here is better than the former restaurant at this location. I think it's the best Thai In Columbia. read more

Had a reasonably priced Larb appetizer spring rolls & sticky rice for my solo dinner there the other night. Splurged on a fancy ginger manhattan. Service was friendly & efficient -I asked for more sauce for my spring rolls & it was brought promptly with a smile. My new favorite Thai place. read more

We came in for dinner over the weekend, and the place was busier than expected. We had a short wait and were seated quickly. Ambiance is a small modern Thai place. The service was good overall. The menu was pretty extensive. - Crab rangoon (4.5/5): Pretty big pieces, very crispy and good flavor. - Tom yum soup (4/5): I thought the portion was a bit small for the price ($8). Just a small bowl. Flavor was good, but I like it a bit more sour. - Drunken noodles with chicken (4.5/5): This was very tasty. Very flavorful, noodles cooked well. Great dish overall. - Red curry with beef (4/5): Good portion size, comes with a side of rice. We got medium spicy, and it was spicier than I expected (especially for restaurant in Columbia). Probably the best Thai food in Columbia! read more

Great food. Great service. This will be our go-to Thai restaurant from now on. Highly recommended.

Love it! I was very sad to see the old Thai place close because it was such a staple. However, I think I like the food here even better. Service is always excellent and the place is clean. Highly recommend! read more

Simple, airy restaurant atmosphere, not cramped or stuffy. The food was amazing. There were several people in our party and each one loved their entrees; from the pork pad Thai, beef panang curry, chicken green curry, and pork pumpkin curry. The food came to the table hot, the rice freshly cooked and steaming. Our server was patient, attentive, gave awesome recommends and made great conversation with us about our visit to the Midwest. I would go back in a second. read more

Ordered take out. They close early so they were gracious to let us make our order a few minutes before they closed. It was a game day and since the team won, the downtown was packed with fans celebrating the win. Little pricey but you get a lot of food. We ordered the Drunken Noodles and Pad Thai dinners from the Noodle part of the menu. Both ordered with chicken. Decent flavor, tender chicken and lots of vegetables. Highly recommend want decent Thai food even when you want take-out. Nice modern ambiance that will visit next time in town. read more

Tried Kinkao on Saturday for lunch. The ambiance was so nice. I ordered the chicken pad Thai - hot level spice. The portion size was good, and I loved the dish. The noodles were perfect and still had some chew, the spice level was on point without being too hot and there was the right amount of everything. I just wish the peanuts were crushed vs. whole and half pieces. Great lunch spot! read more

Kinkao is AMAZING! I worked here during college and it is the best Thai food I have ever had. The owners are so kind, and really care about every customer experience. You will not regret going here! I recommend the pad thai, panang curry, and basil stir fry, but everything is phenomenal! I look forward to coming back to Como just so I can go to Kinkao:)) read more

This was not only my first time trying Kinkao but also my first time trying thai food! I was so impressed! I had the tofu pad thai mild spice and it was so amazing. The tofu was crispy and had such good taste! It was enough that I had some left over. It is a bit smaller and there were only tables for 1-4 people. My server, Sophia, was also amazing! Would definitely recommend trying Kinkao! read more

Overall, the food was pretty good. I have a very high level expectation when it comes to Thai food. It is one of my favorite ethnic cuisines. We ordered the yellow curry, it was pretty flavorful, but the meat was a little bit chewy. The pad Thai was very good! The Thai tea was a little bit sweet for my taste. Overall, it was a wonderful experience, the service was wonderful and the atmosphere was nice. I am only giving it three stars due to the lack of quality of food. read more

The food is just excellent. We began with Potstickers & Crab Ragoon appetizers and they were delicious! Next my wife and I both had the Drunken Noodle, medium spicy, with chicken. The veggies were fresh and crisp, the chicken cooked to perfection and the noodles made for a great dish! (Just a shootout that Medium could be a tad spicy for some) Lastly, we're going to try the Mango rice desert. Looks great! If you love, like or never had Thai food and are in or near Columbia, MO definitely check them out!! read more

Fresh rolls were perfect. Green curry delicious and comforting with a hint of heat. I want to try more foods here.

I'm honestly so disappointed -- this was some of the worst Thai food I've ever had. I don't even know how to explain how bad it was. The flavors were completely off, nothing tasted right, and it felt like they've never even had real Thai food before. It was a total letdown. read more

First it is open at 2:30 pm so call for hours. Best food we've had in Columbia since bf the pandemic. Highly recommend the Prik Pao Cashew, Basil Beef, and Ton Yum. Note: the spices are as advertised... yum. But be sure order the butterfly pea lemonaid if you think you might want to cool things down. Don't waste your time on other restaurants--just go here :) read more

I have been looking for an authentic Thai restaurant in Columbia that serves delicious food like I've eaten in Thailand or like my Thai mother makes and I'm happy to say that I've found it. It was worth the wait! The flavors, freshness and presentation were wonderful. We ordered the egg rolls, fried chicken, Pad See Ew, Som Tum, Chicken Larb, Sticky rice (a must if having Som Tum and Larb) and Tom Kha. Everything was perfect. So happy! I'm excited to go back and try the rest of the menu. This is definitely one Thai restaurant I'd be happy to bring my Bangkok born mother to. Great job, Kinkao! read more

Definitely better than most Thai food I'd get in a major city like Dallas. I could eat at this place almost daily.

Terribly disappointed. The food was overwhelmingly sweet -- it felt like every dish had been drowned in sugar. I expected flavor, not dessert. The fried rice? Way overpriced. I added just one fried egg and was charged nearly $30 in total. For that price, I'd expect something close to gourmet -- not bland, sugary rice and a basic egg. Never again. read more

It has become our go-to place when hungry! Love the minimalist style of interior and the food is unique and delicious. The different dishes come with different combinations of vegetables, unlike most of Asian dishes in other restaurants. Love the eggplant in their green curry and Eggplant stir fry.
