It was a Sunday around 4pm and not busy at all, however, it did take quite a while to get drinks, the bread and oil, and our appetizer. The Sugar Plum drink was sweet snd smooth. The calamari was crispy and paired well with the aioli. The steak frites was a bit dry. The crème brûlée was good. It seemed clean inside and upscale vibes but we sat near the entrance so couldn't really see all that was inside.

Came to celebrate my birthday dinner and get a piece of their delicious Carrot Cake, it's so good. I was pleasantly surprised to see a birthday card waiting on the table for me. I ordered the Tuscan Chicken which is one of my favorite dishes here. I love the creamy sauce and the blend of flavors from the mushrooms, spinach and sun-dried tomatoes. We sat in the bar and enjoyed the TV's and watching the bar tender make fancy drinks in their upscale decorated bar. Hubs got the Bourbon Street dish with shrimp, andouille sausage and chicken over noodles. Their house salad and bread is also delicious and I always love to start the meal with

Decided to meet family here for an early dinner on the west side. Charbonos never disappoints. We started with their yummy fresh bread loaf with seasoned oil for dipping. Today I had the tortolloni carbonara which was plentiful and delicious. Our server was helpful and friendly and attentive in keeping our drinks filled. We got a spacious corner both which was perfect for a group of 5.

I went to Charbonos a couple weeks ago with my husband and enjoyed the food! We've been here a couple times and they are consistently good! I had the salmon that was perfectly cooked and my husband the pork chop and he loved it. We had the brownie sundae and it was just unbelievable! The staff is very nice, and check on you regularly. Unfortunately, last time we went it took them 25 minutes to come get our order. They apologized for the delay, and offered appetizer or dessert on the house, which was really nice, but definitely something that can be improved. The ambiance is pleasant and the style of the restaurant is unique, which I like :) There are a lot of parking spots, I recommend making a reservation ahead of time because it is regularly busy!

To go $7 add on chicken. Took out of foil so you can see how much you actually get.

Ordered takeout and i don't know why I ever expect anything different. I work in the food sales industry. This being up charged for $7 for a large salad is wild. This is a ripoff. And only to find out when I get home. Maybe 3 oz of raw chicken for a large salad. Took out of foil so you can actually see how much.

Located in Avon, the inside definitely has a Mediterranean feel. Our server was very attentive and gave us good recommendations as to what to order. Started off with the calamari appetizer. The squid was seasoned well and not too chewy. Two dipping sauces: a lemon aioli and marinara sauce rounded out this starter. I ordered the shrimp scampi. The sauce was a creamier than my preference but the flavor more than made up for it. The shrimp was fairly large and not over cooked. The desert was a bread pudding with peach sauce and ice cream. This was enough for two people and not overly sweet. Great dining experience!

Capri Salmon Salad, blackened

The quality of the food and service at Charbonos is consistent with other Cunningham restaurants. Both are always good here. They have a variety of entrees on the menu for everyone, but my favorite is the Capri Salmon salad. Every time I've had it, it's so fresh and crisp, with some good briny flavor from the capers and olives. Charbonos complimentary bread and oil always hits the spot. The staff at this location is friendly and efficient. My one complaint is that it's a bit of a depressing ambiance here. It's dark with outdated decor. A refresh would go a long way to spruce up the dining experience.

Excellent view and excellent service! The drinks were also incredible. We had a great waitress, Macy, and any questions we had she made sure were answered in detail. She was very attentive to our table and the other ones she had (I definitely noticed). We had the Italian wedding soup, Chicken Piccata and the Bourbon Street and they were both outstanding and slight customizations we wanted were done too. Very cozy environment for a date or get together with family or friends. There's also a large side room for bigger parties . Their bread was VERY good too. Definitely a place to check out! They are also part of the Cunningham family so the level of service and food quality is above par.

Crispy Calamari

Took a 30 min. drive to Avon and was not disappointed. We were seated immediately, and our server was attentive. Started with the calamari that was crispy and well seasoned. The Bourbon Street Pasta was excellent full of shrimp, chicken and andouille sausage, but a little spicy. Finished the meal with a slice of white chocolate peach bread pudding, a flavorful concoction of and pure decadence.

Dinner with a friend tonight and Charbono's did not disappoint! It has been awhile since my last visit and I was happy to see it that it was much as I remembered. The decor is calming and a bit on the dark side. The two of us took a table in the bar and each ordered a Chardonnay - sorry that I don't recall the name but it was very nice. I ordered the BBQ chicken pizza - and my friend ordered the Salmon salad. Staff was attentive and our food was out pretty quick. My pizza was very good - lots of chicken, bacon and sauce. Why I thought I could handle a whole pizza I have no clue - but I brought home the leftovers. My friend enjoyed her salad as well. The Cunningham group knows its stuff - Charbono's has generally been a dependable choice on the far west side.

Seafood scampi on special

Went to Charbonos this evening as a last minute dinner outing, with our group of 5. We got seated right away, and had amazing service. We enjoyed calamari as our appetizer, and of course the fresh bread. The seafood scampi that was on special was to die for. Overall the experience was very pleasant as this was our first time back here in probably 10 years. Thank you to the wonderful staff for providing us with a great dining experience

I stop in at the Avon location probably 2-3 times a month () for lunch or dinner. My husband and I each love the carbonara with hot chicken, so we don't usually stray from that order, but the diavolo sauce is sooo good too (if you love spicy like I do). Sometimes we add pepperoni breadsticks to the order, which are also very yummy, but the portion sizes are very big so we usually are too full from that for anything extra. I will order a blackberry lemonade from time to time, which is the perfect amount of tart-to-sweet ratio, and my husband I like to share it because again you can get a pretty large cup of it. Each time I come in to order my food is made fresh and stays hot until I get home (about 15 minutes). The staff are always so friendly and I love seeing familiar faces each time I come in. Big shoutout to all of the friendly staff working tonight- Tyra and Anthony who rang up my order and made sure I had everything I needed, Lilly and Kimberly who greeted me and made my order, and Edgar who cooked up our hot chicken fresh for our carbonara!

Every meal seems a little lacking and leaves you wanting a little bit more but the atmosphere and staff are nice which helps to balance the disappointment. We ordered the bruschetta as our appetizer, it was enjoyable but more olive forward than we were expecting. I ordered the arugula salad which did say it had spinach in it. However, it was a mainly spinach salad. I opted to add chicken to it and ask our waitress if the chicken was seasoned and worth the ad and she assured me that it was. Unfortunately it was not seasoned and it was very bland reminding me of the pre-packaged chicken pockets you can buy at Costco. Had I known I wouldn't have added it as it did not add anything to the salad. My friend really wanted the brussel sprout salad and apparently they did not have brussel sprouts so it was only romaine salad so she opted for a pasta dish instead. We appreciated our waitress giving us the heads up and confirming that she still wanted the salad with the changes that would be made to it. We ended the evening by sharing a tiramisu for her birthday along with an espresso martini. The dessert options were nice, but the espresso martini wasn't traditional; it was more Baileys-forward than expected. Overall, it's a decent restaurant for a casual meal but it hasn't offered anything that would make us eager to return or crave another visit.

The service is usually good, but it is rare that we leave feeling like our server was genuinely happy to be there or that we were truly welcomed and appreciated as guests. Today, we had Emma, and she completely changed that experience. She was friendly, attentive, and genuinely seemed to enjoy what she was doing. She made us feel welcome and appreciated, and our entire meal flowed flawlessly. It was exceptional service, and she did it all with a smile! During recent visits, we have often felt rushed. No sooner do we place our order than our soup/salad arrives, followed within a minute or two by our meal. We are still enjoying our soup, salad and breadsticks while our entrées sit and get cold. Today, we asked that our meal be held until we were finished with our soup and salad. Emma checked back with us and asked when we were ready for her to place the meal order. It was wonderful to actually relax and enjoy our lunch without feeling rushed. I also want to mention that two young men at a nearby table were clearly trying to flirt with Emma. She handled the situation with professionalism, grace and composure while continuing to provide excellent service. I would guess Emma is around 20 years old, and for someone so young to provide such exceptional service and handle an awkward situation so professionally is extraordinary. Please recognize Emma for the wonderful job she is doing. Her attitude, professionalism and genuine warmth made our lunch a truly enjoyable experience.
