Great place with a nice vibe! Food is fantastic, with a great variety on the menu. The bar is cozy and the bartenders are friendly and attentive. Great place to go for a date night, a girls night out, getting together with the guy, or a special occasion dining experience! 5 stars!

Wow, I am really surprised at the 3.2 stars given to char steakhouse. I dined here in December and I loved it. The place has a nice chic vibe and really good for date night. Drinks were good as well with enough alcohol for me. Felt the service was great and wish that I had the receipt to make mention of the waiter. For appetizers, I ordered the lobster dumpling, which was absolutely delicious. I cannot wait to have them again. We also ordered the classic escargot, which were really really good. Six came with the order. My friend ordered the 12 ounce filet mignon, which I had a piece of and it was cooked to perfection and I ordered the crabcake with the asiago truffle fries and a side of sauté broccoli. Everything was really really good. The sauté broccoli was delicious. The truffle fries were the best I've ever had. They came with a sprinkle of scallions and jalapeños, and they were very, very good. I plan to go back and try their other menu items and can't wait.

Food, service and atmosphere are all important factors and Char is killing it. We had the lobster Mac and cheese as a side dish (don't judge), Delmonico steaks with creamy spinach. Everything was cooked to perfection and great flavor. Bartender Mike was attentive and knows how to make great cocktails. Definitely recommend this restaurant for a great steak that's actually affordable.

I knew what I was expecting when we got there, but my expectations were exceeded. We ordered: Drinks: Chargarita, Gin & tonic, Char martini Appetizers: fresh bread from the bread board, Calamari, Lobster dumplings Mains: Delmonico 14 oz ribeye, NY strip 14 oz, Meat & potatoes: braised short rib served over potato gnocchi in a garlic cream sauce, loaded baked potato, truffle French fries Dessert: Afogato, Char espresso w tequila, Cappuccino, Espresso Our server was attentive and amazing. The ambiance is lively and everyone there seemed to be having a great time like we were. I'm looking forward to returning and trying more of their amazing menu items. Delicious.

Yum yum yum ! This place is a must if you're in Red Bank . They have plenty of outdoor and indoor tables . I didn't even have a reservation on a hot summer night and they still took me and my party of 4. We sat outside and enjoyed people watching . We started off with some drinks . I did not like my spicy watermelon margarita , there was nothing spicy about it and it was definitely watered down. My mom said the same about her margarita , so their speciality is definitely not their drinks lol. We ordered appetizers , the fried calamari, the tuna tartare, the Kobe meatballs & a mixed field greens salad. All of these were delicious. For entrees we all had the meat and potatoes , with a side of mushroom caps and macaroni and cheese. These were all fantastic , the braised short rib was so flavorful and the garlic cream sauce was amazing. The mushrooms were incredible. We devoured our plates! The only reason this place is not getting 5 stars is because the drinks weren't great and they also do not have a changing table for babies in their bathroom. I'd love to keep coming here with my daughter so please consider adding a changing table , that would allow us parents to enjoy ourselves even more in your restaurant :)

Char used to be our go to, we either ate in or ordered at least once a week for our family of seven. I don't know what happened. Did they change their meat supplier? Just don't care any more? I'm disgusted that I paid so much money for this horrendous piece of grizzle, fat and sinew! Look at my photos, once the bone, fat and silver skin were cut off, there was not much meat left but it was medium rare so I was hopeful. Now I know this Steak should be marbled, but this was ridiculous, there was a little piece of the middle of the steak left. Even the meat that was left was a joke I could not cut a SINGLE piece of meat without hacking away with my knife because the entire thing had tendons running through it - literally attached together with tendons that I couldn't cut it through at any point. I could literally hang this 'steak' up like a piece of garland attached like rope in the middle of all my attempts at cutting through it. Just a hunk of garbage for $70!! Ok I'll eat my salad, but the dressing is so watery the lettuce became mushy..oh but we have delicious Creamed spinach - nope - somehow it was burnt on top?! Do they cook it in the oven? I'm at a loss as to what happened here. I'm hungry after spending way too much money.

This isn't our first visit and we periodically return for special occasions. It is pricey and all items are a la carte so we only come on special occasions. We dined on our anniversary and the ambiance, service and food were very good. Service was impeccable by Anthony and he was very attentive. Food was great starting with the bread service and shared salad. I ordered chicken Milanese and I'm so excited they offer more than steak options and added on chicken choices to the menu. My chicken was crispy and an extremely generous portion plus came with a tiny arugula mix on the plate. My husband's steak was cooked to perfection for him (medium) and loved the roasted garlic accompaniment. Dessert was a shared piece of cheesecake with fruit for dipping. We both ordered a regular coffee and it was surprisingly tasty, hot and fresh. It was also a very large cup. Although expensive, it's a nice restaurant in trendy Red Bank. I'll be back!

Valentine's Day set up was nice

No, I think you will be fine, especially for dinner. There are professionals coming from local offices in red bank to eat there, and many are in suits and business wear. I have been there for a dinner business meeting as well.

I saw some mixed reviews for Teak before we went, and after reading through quite a few of them, my…read morebest guess was that most of the complaints were tied to a nightclub-type vibe on a possible rooftop bar rather than the restaurant itself. We showed up hoping to snag bar seats, but it was busy and honestly a little warm for my liking. I know, I know, after the winter we've had, I have absolutely no right to complain. Either way, we ended up in an outside room with all the windows open to the patio and it was genuinely perfect. Our server Julie was fantastic. Attentive in all the right ways, including the kind of attentive where she noticed us glancing around and came over to check on us. We weren't actually looking for anything; we were just scoping out the space. Still, I appreciated the hustle. My partner ordered a gin martini, extra dirty; I went with a prosecco. Both came out cold and fast. We ordered edamame, lotus buns, the pear and crispy goat cheese salad, and the aburi roll. The edamame were solid. Nice pop of lime, though I could have used a heavier hand with the salt. The lotus buns were a revelation. Two pillowy bao buns, each stuffed with a generous slab of slow roasted pork belly glazed in hoisin, with a pickled cucumber tucked in alongside it. I'd never had anything quite like them, and the balance was what got me: the brine and snap of the pickle cutting right through the sweetness of that glaze. Really well thought out. The aburi roll was tasty; nothing jumped out as the star moment, but everything played nicely together and it went down easy. And then there was the salad. Oh, the salad. I could eat that salad every single day of the week. Crispy fried goat cheese medallions on a salad is basically a guaranteed order for me, so that's what reeled me in initially. But once I actually started eating it, I forgot all about the goat cheese. Mixed greens, thin pear slices, halved grapes, spiced pecan halves, all dressed in a honey mustard vinaigrette that was genuinely outstanding. I've already started thinking about how to recreate it at home, which is the highest compliment I can give a salad. Teak delivered across the board. Don't let the rooftop reviews scare you off from the restaurant itself.

THE FOOD * Chef's Sashimi Bowl: Bright and tasty with slices of tuna, yellowtail, and salmon. The yuzu/ponzu sauce and sliced green onions added great flavor. Served at the perfect temperature. * Kale Caesar Salad: The surprise here was the spicy breadcrumbs, which made the dish when their spice and crunch came in alongside the creamy dressing and kale. * Tip: I would order the dressing on the side next time, and avoid pairing this with the French Onion Soup Dumplings (too many creamy/heavy components for one meal). * French Onion Dumplings: An okay dish with nice gooey cheese, but a fairly flat overall flavor profile. * Roasted Salmon: Served with a tasty, crisp crust, but it was a bit dry on the inside. It came with nice stir-fried vegetables and slightly underdone coconut rice. THE WINE * A nice selection of wines by the glass. We tried a spread of Cabernet Sauvignon, Bordeaux, and Pinot Noir. THE SERVICE & ATMOSPHERE * Special thanks to Rigo (the sushi chef). He served up amazing sashimi and clearly draws on his 20+ years of experience at TEAK. He was incredibly personable, clearly enjoys his craft, and his presentation was excellent! * Thank you to Olivia, a new bartender upstairs, for her attentive and professional service! Wishing you the best in picking up those great line dance routines. IMPORTANT LOGISTICS Ordering: Note that you must order all your dishes at one time. So, reservations were easy to make 6:45p and if you have never been to Danny's, there is a parking structure right behind the restaurant so now, your in the know! We ordered 1 Moscow Mules ( son and girlfriend had brought their 2 from the bar) and I had a wonderful glass of Tempranillo, at the suggestion of our waiter, appetizers were crab bisque and 2 orders of steamed clams to share, which, I have to say, the sauce was absolutely delicious and we couldn't help but dunk the warm rolls that were complimentary, so very good. Dinner was Salmon, Mahi-Mahi, Bell & Evans Chicken and 1/2 rack of ribs with traditional BBQ sauce, neither my husband or I are fond of the Peter Luger steak sauce. We ordered the French fries well done and the sautéed spinach. Another round of drinks were ordered with dinner and all of us loved our entrees, in fact, I was able to bring 1/2 my chicken and the spinach home for lunch today ( I work Sundays). Now, I have to take a moment and let you know, I had just about had it at this point! I wanted to leave, although my dining experience with regards to the food and service was fantastic 1000%, but I really had gotten such a head-ache and our son and is sweetie were ready to leave as well, because of the dining party seated behind them. But hubby and I wanted to enjoy and make the most of the little time we had with our son and his sweetie, so, we opted to order dessert and buck it up. Dessert time, 1 order of mango sorbet which came with two lady fingers, my son and his sweetheart really loved this refreshing dessert!!! Hubby had the Crème Brûlée and in case you don't know, if it's on the menu, hubby orders it, I love it too, but I prefer first choice, Lavender or Cafe au Lait Crème Brûlée. But if there is chocolate...I am ordering it. For this night, I chose the flourless chocolate cake, rich, creamy and oh so decadent, if you love chocolate-truffles, this is for you, I was in heaven. Our server was fantastic, attentive and polite, god bless you , because that loud group was also his table. ***** Here We Go**** What was NOT Polite were the 6 people (3 husbands & 3 wives) who had zero ZERO comprehension on the etiquette on the use of inside voices while dining or the most simplest of considerations given, to the other diners around them, even the people in the main dining room, were shooting looks their way- When I tell you, this group was Oblivious, they would have been the picture in the dictionary above the word "Oblivious". We were sitting in the back dining area with the fireplace- beautiful and quaint, lovely space for dining, but this group was so loud- I'm talkin' Decibel concert loud- Even KISS had the common decency to turn down their volume at their 1984 Ottawa concert due to local noise complaints. Think I'm lying- let's go to the restaurant cameras- shall we, the tale of the tape so to speak... The hostess actually walked a couple to the 4 top table next to them as there are only 4 tables in this back room, they heard this group and said "Nope" literally, didn't even wait for the hostess, and walked out to another table in the restaurant. Then a group of 3 young ladies were seated at the 4-top next to us and they actually ate in silence for the most part because- well, hearing each other talk was quite an impossible. One looked at me, then gave me the "look" you know, the look that you hold with a bestie- that's a whole conversation in-itself and you both know what each of you is saying, without speaking a word? ya, that! Like: Do you hear these people? How can you not? Connecticut can hear these people! WTF?! I doubt these ladies enjoyed their meal. For the 4 of us, the whole dinner experience we were pretty much leaning across our plates to have basic civil conversation, the group was so rude, the only time they literally SHUT UP was when they were shoveling food into their pie holes, example the sushi appetizers. I was surprised the one gal didn't choke, she was spittin' sushi rice out of her mouth when she was chewing, talking and cackling. Chew w/ the mouth closed. I even told the hostess on the way out, the food/service exceptional but the people in that room with us, shameful. 5-Stars for the food, drinks and impeccable service I am not sure who Danny is, or if he was there while we were dining, but I think that his restaurant is fabulous, my husband and I will definitely be back, because despite the issue w/fellow diners, you cannot deny the food is incredible & staff fantastic.

The halibut caught my eye immediately; I'm a sucker for a perfectly prepared piece of halibut or a great pork chop, and since my partner doesn't eat meat it made for an easy share. Earlier in the day, a couple of women at our hotel bar mentioned the chef had trained at Jean-Georges in Manhattan, which only added to our anticipation. It wasn't until we got back to the hotel after dinner and did a little reading that we learned just how decorated Harary really is; his Restaurant Nicholas held Zagat's top spot in New Jersey for 15 consecutive years and earned a 4-star New York Times review. That context made our middling meal sting just a little more. We started with the bread service and the beet salad. The bread itself was baked beautifully, but the butter and ricotta accompanying it were completely flavorless. My partner and I are not salt-at-the-table people; we trust that seasoning happened in the kitchen. This was the first time in recent memory that we actually reached for the salt shaker. Not a great sign. The beet salad should have been a showstopper. Beets, when done right, can carry an entire dish on their own. Instead, they were buried under an avalanche of arugula. Don't get me wrong, arugula is one of my favorite greens; that peppery bite and beautiful texture are hard to beat, but here it was doing all the heavy lifting while the beets sat underneath doing nothing. We'd eaten most of the salad before we even noticed the sunflower seeds and a smear of mascarpone hiding on the bottom of the bowl. That mascarpone, gently flaked on top with the seeds scattered over it to catch in the folds, could have made this dish genuinely memorable. The gorgeous candy-striped radishes were a lovely visual touch, but they were raw, undressed slices with no seasoning, no acid, no pickling. Beautiful to look at; an afterthought to eat. The whole salad felt that way, honestly. For our main, we shared the Panko Crusted Halibut with bok choy and smoked shallot velouté. The sauce was the star; the smoke level was dialed in perfectly, present in all the right ways without overpowering everything else. The wild mushrooms were lovely, but the dish needed something to break up the texture. The bok choy brought good flavor, but it mirrored the mushrooms so closely that each bite started to blur together. Something crispy, something sharp, would have elevated the whole thing considerably. The fish itself was cooked well; firm, flakey, and not dried out. The panko crust was gorgeous to look at but could have been crispier. Based on its beautiful golden color, it looked like it had more crunch than it actually delivered. The cocktails were a genuine highlight. An old fashioned made with 1792 and a Black Manhattan, both well-crafted and the clearest bright spots of the evening. The three people behind the bar were another highlight. Expedient, attentive, never rushing anyone, and willing to make easy conversation without being intrusive. That is exactly what you want from people working a good bar. The ambiance, though, was confusing. The space seemed to pull in two directions at once; it wanted to feel upscale but also like a sports bar, and it never fully committed to either. Three small TVs tucked into the corners would have been fine. The oversized screen mounted prominently on the wall was intrusive and clashed hard with any sense of elevated dining. The music was classic rock, which I enjoy, but it read as wrong for the room and was a tad too loud. The music for this type of setting should be something to just add some ambiance, not for people to shout-sing too like you've had too many beers at a dive karaoke bar, which I love by the way, this was just not that kind of place. Those same women from the hotel bar had also warned us it could get loud and obnoxious in there. We figured we'd take our chances. We probably should have listened. With the legacy behind this place, the potential is clearly there. The bar staff gets it. Now the kitchen and the room just need to catch up.

First of all, there was a little kids birthday party here and it was LOUD. This is clearly not the restaurant's fault but wow was it loud. I wish we could have sat outside but it was a bit chilly. We started with a 'Watermelon Mint Cooler' and 'Frozen Strawberry Margarita' - both were mocktails. They were both delicious and refreshing. My husband got the meatballs for his appetizer and I got the Caprese salad. He loved the appetizer and I loved mine. You cannot go wrong with Caprese salad in my opinion. For our entrees, he got the 'Bistecca alla Pizzaiola" which was a steak with tomato, garlic and red wine with potatoes. It was really good. The steak was very tender. I got the 'Ravioli Limoncello' which was Ravioli in a Lemon cream sauce. I am not a huge lemon fan but this was great. We ended with the 'Carrot Cake' and the 'Toasted Almond' cake - both were delicious as well. Everything was great. The service was quick, attentive and very friendly. I would definitely come back and would recommend. Next time though, I'm sitting outside if I see a big party though!

I had the Bucatini cacio de Pepe and oh my I can't say how much I enjoyed it. Soooo good! Then for dessert our waiter James who was very attentive suggested the Almond crunch cake and the tartufo for the table. Well he was correct it was very good. The cake was light and paired well with the tartufo. We all enjoyed the experience at Patrizias.

After a four hour drive down from Rhode Island, my partner and I pulled into Red Bank and made a…read morebeeline for Triumph Brewing Company on Bridge Avenue. Sometimes you just need a cold beer and a bite, and Triumph delivered on both fronts. The space itself sets the tone nicely. Raw wood beams, big glass garage door-style windows flooding the room with light, and a mix of modern and rustic that somehow manages to feel like both at once. Green plants are positioned throughout, around the bar and seating areas, adding just the right amount of warmth throughout. The space is generous too; a large bar anchors the room with plenty of big tables spread throughout. It could clearly handle a crowd. It's the kind of place that makes you want to settle in. The service matched the vibe. Our bartender was attentive from the start, and at one point a second bartender passing by stopped to check if we needed to place an order. When we told him we were already taken care of, he smiled and moved on. Small moment, but it says something about the culture of a place. I started with the Baltic Porter, a solid pint, dark and roasty with that smoothness the style calls for. Good, but it was the second beer that really got my attention. I noticed the bartender working a hand pump and knew right then I'd be having their Pub Ale next. That's the real deal right there; a true cask pour is a rarity, and this one showed why it's worth seeking out. The ale was alive in a way you just don't get from a CO2 tap, soft carbonation with layers of flavor that opened up as it warmed slightly in the glass. It was genuinely awesome. For food we kept it light, a couple of snacks to set ourselves up for the rest of the evening. My partner had the falafel; fresh, nicely seasoned, with real crunch and plenty of accoutrements to keep things interesting. It was exactly the kind of bite that tides you over without weighing you down. I went with a special: Weisswurst. It was juicy and flavorful; served on a nice bun with mustard and the expected trimmings. My only gripe was the portion size, could've used just a bit more sausage. The real surprise was the side of housemade chips, which were exceptional. The kind of thing you find yourself reaching for long after you've finished everything else. Unfortunately, we arrived just as a band was packing up, but according to the schedule posted on the wall, they have live music quite a few days a week. All in all Triumph was the perfect setup for our little mid-winter getaway.

The place is really pretty and has two floors and a really nice vibe. The music was really great. It was this kind of sexy lounging jazzy type of music. The trumpet player was really good. The band's name was Red123 and I am a fan. We sat and ordered food at the bar and our bartender was great. The other two guys were equally as nice and personable. Now the negative. Although it's considered a brewery, they do not have flights. So keep this in mind when you do visit. I ended up have the Czech dark beer, which was good. It was a large amount as well. My friend had one of the Pilsners and it was pretty good as well. The food for me wasn't that great. I ordered baked oysters with breadcrumbs and bacon on top and it was to be shared with my friend. Unfortunately, the oysters were not cooked thoroughly because they were still kind of slimy and soft and not hot and they did not taste baked. I was OK with it because I do eat raw oysters, but she does not eat raw fish so she didn't have any. I also ordered a Cubano sandwich listed as containing braised pulled pork, Swiss cheese and ham with Bavarian mustard with thinly sliced pickles on the side. I ate half sandwich and it tasted ok. However, for the second half of the sandwich, I decided that I just wanted to eat the insides and not eat the bread. Unfortunately, the pulled pork that was in the sandwich was tasteless and very dry. I do cook roast pork as well as pulled so I know what it's supposed to taste like. I did not notice it at first because the dressing on the bread masked the bland taste of the pork. I did not continue to eat the pork and only ate a piece of the ham and the cheese. I do plan to go back for the vibe and music and if hungry, will try a different dish.

The food was impeccable, and I must say, they truly do their meats extremely well. Here are some of the things we ordered. Please bear in mind that we had it family style, and the portions are humongous. - Antipasto - They truly had a sublime selection of Italian-style cured meats, which included Prosciutto di Parma, Soppressata, Mortadella, fresh Mozzarella Pearls, Red Onions, salad underneath, and balsamic glaze drizzled over the top, providing a sweet-tart contrast. It was a very nice high-end charcuterie platter. 5/5 Stars. - Fried Calamari - They lightly floured and fried it. Personally, I preferred it to be fried a bit more. 4/5 Stars. - Eggplant Rollatini - stuffed with ricotta, topped with marinara, and melted mozzarella. The eggplant was sliced thinly and was generously stuffed. 4/5 Stars. - Penne Vodka - They were in a light tomato pancetta cream sauce. I personally preferred a little spicier. 4/5 Stars. - Orrechiette pasta served with fresh tomatoes, garlic, and sausage, broccoli rabe, and basil in garlic & oil. They overcooked the sausage, but regardless, it truly was exceptional. 5/5 Stars - Shrimp scampi - It was overcooked. 3.5/5 Stars. - Boneless Roasted Chicken Cacciatore - the chicken was so tender and juicy. 5/5 Stars. - Pork Loin Giambotta - They grilled it to perfection, and it was still juicy. This dish was accompanied by mushrooms, onions, and peppers. 5/5 Stars. - Mashed red potatoes - Creamy and smooth. 5/5 Stars. The service was impeccable. They constantly came over to see if there was anything we needed. Plenty of wine and beer flowing, exchanging of dirty dishes for clean dishes, and ensuring we have everything we need.

We had a wedge salad and lobster bisque soup. The portions were HUGE. I took home 1/2 of my soup I had the eggplant parmigiana with penne. I asked it to be served heat hot but it was more on the cool side. The eggplant had too much breading on it so it took away from the taste of parmigiana. My husband had penne with sausage and broccoli rabe. His dish was hot and he ordered a 1/2 portion but was overflowing. Both portions were very large and we took it all home. The decor was tastefully done for the holiday theme. Sorry to say I wasn't crazy about my dinner. But in another year, may go back
