Our waitress was MIA most of the time we were there. This made a simple request for ice nearly impossible. The place was not as busy as we're used to seeing on a Saturday night so that was weird. My husband and I still had a great dinner. The food is always amazing. We had a great time overall and thanks to the other staff, we were able to get service eventually. The place itself is a great date night spot - cozy & warm. We entertained the idea of going upstairs for the Nightlife portion of the night but the crowd was really young. It seems like the perfect place to go if you're in your 20's so we passed. We'd love to find a place where the crowd is 35+. Any suggestions are welcome.

As we celebrated the closing of summer and headed toward fall, we wanted to go somewhere that had rooftop seating and small hot plates so we could taste everything. Since we were in Red Bank, we decided on Teak Restaurant, and I'm so glad we did. The entrance features a majestic sitting Buddha, and the interior is lively with music playing and drinks flowing at the bar. As we headed up the staircase, it led us to the rooftop, where you'll find another ginormous bar and tables both inside and leading to the outside, where you can dine or simply have some drinks. We ordered edamame dumplings, pork potstickers, michi, lotus buns, crispy rock shrimp, Korean BBQ tacos, fried oysters, and short rib empanadas, paired with a berry aperitivo spritz mocktail for me. My husband had a root beer old-fashioned and an IPA. My personal favorites were the edamame dumplings, fried oysters, lotus buns, and their berry spritz mocktail. My husband's favorites included edamame dumplings, Korean BBQ tacos, short rib empanadas, and the lotus buns. The service was on point as they constantly checked on us to see if we needed anything else or to refill our drinks. The music consistently had great songs playing, and thankfully, it was at a volume where I could have a conversation with my spouse. A wonderful experience all around.

A pleasant meal in downtown Red Bank The restaurant is surprisingly large and the seating is comfortable. The food is good. Fresh ingredients and good flavors. We had a variety of small plates. Nothing stood out as memorable but no plate was disappointing. The cocktails paired well either the food. The service was attentive.

The food here was delicious and the service was extremely prompt despite the restaurant being packed. We got a bunch of things to share and everything was great. Really loved the crab Rangoon and crispy pear salad. It was also very cute and spacious and clean inside!

I recently visited Teak with a friend for their Thursday happy hour on the rooftop. Unfortunately, it was a bit rainy that day, so no one was on the outside part of the rooftop. The upstairs bar was packed! However, we found some seats. I ended up ordering the Cherry Smash as my drink and got the crab croquettes and cheesesteak bar buns. Both were delicious, especially the crab croquettes. I was still a bit hungry, so I ordered the pineapple fried rice with shrimp. My friend and I split it. We enjoyed it as well. I love Asian food, so Teak was definitely up my alley. This restaurant has been around for quite a while and this was my first time checking it out. I'll definitely return, whether that be for happy hour or dinner.

Food is great but what really makes the experience unforgettable is the service. Taylor and Amy were 10/10! I have severe allergies and Taylor was so helpful with ordering and communicating with the kitchen. Will return regularly to Teak because of the service!!

I liked the sushi but it was a bit spicy for my taste. They were out of one of the dishes we really wanted to get so that was a bit of a bummer. Overall it was good but I wasn't super blown away but anything I tried. Our waiter was great though and the outdoor seating area of nice for warmer weather.

We were seated promptly and started with a hefty pile of edamame. My roasted salmon was excellent and the accompanying quinoa with apples, butternut squash puree and pomegranate molasses were delicious. My wife's crab and vegetable egg rolls, however, unexpectedly had bell peppers, her personal anathema. Graciously, our server offered to take it back and bring her something else. He even helped her select a custom sushi roll. The room was relatively quiet though dimly lit .We will be back!

We came to teak to have some drinks because it was recommended by a friend. So I can't comment on the food but the drinks are very highly priced. we had 4 drinks and it was $65. That to me is NYC prices. Yes, the spicy margarita was a great drink but def not worth the $16. The bartenders were very nice. The place was very nice and lively so if you are okay with that price and want something more trendy I do recommend going here.

    Edamame Dumplings Hot Plate

Service was good and relatively prompt, especially with providing a bottle of water. I was happily surprised with the number of creative Asian fusion dishes and really wanted to try a variety! We started off with the Edamame dumplings, which had a nice light sauce and was actually good although I would have preferred the pork dumplings, but my guest wanted to try it. Next, we moved on to the lobster and crab ceviche, which was just right and not too tangy. Just wish they had slightly more than a hint of cilantro, but nonetheless, there was ample portions of seafood and a bed of lettuce. We also had a couple of sushi rolls and definitely would recommend the sunshine roll. Good balance of fish to rice ratio. Finally, I originally thought that they had made a mistake since my seafood Ramen came as a noodle dish with no broth. I was wondering why the menu description explained that it came with the Tom Yum sauce, which I had asked to put on the side, but they instead made it a lighter portion which I appreciated. It actually had the texture of a pad Thai dish instead, which was also very good and came with large portions of shrimp and other seafood. I would have preferred a little bit more variety in the seafood, but it was a very tasty dish nonetheless. Definitely would recommend it and will be coming back again!

The French onion soup dumplings caught my eye and at that moment I knew I had to try this place out. They definitely had the flavor of French onion but was not a tradition soup dumpling I thought it would be. More a wonton with the flavors of French onion soup. Overall, the food and drinks here were yummy. My drink, the guava punch, had a nice subtle heat to it. The poke bowl was huge and came with substantial amount of fish. My friend got the pineapple fried rice and that too had a big portion. A note about the restaurant is happy hour is only at the bar and reservations are recommended if you go later at night.

Forbidden Black Roll & Sunshine Roll & Lotus Buns Hot Plate

This was my first time back to Teak since pre pandemic, since I moved out of NJ. Teak used to be my absolute favorite spot in Redbank, especially on Monday half priced sushi night. The moody ambiance is a vibe, and they have happy hour deals! The signature rolls have always been fantastic. This time around, my forbidden black and sunshine rolls were delicious (as expected). My friend ordered the pork lotus buns (which she loved) & the Redbank roll. The redbank roll was foul - something was definitely off in the sushi (I tried a piece myself). She didn't send the roll back, but when someone doesn't ask for a to go box for an almost whole $18 sushi roll something is wrong.

No, but when we were there it was pretty crowded so the talking was a bit loud. We were lucky to get a table toward a back corner.

They should add another door at the entrance. We started off with Wonton soup. The flavor and texture of the meat and dumplings were delicious for me and I'm picky. I ordered the sesame chicken and it was a nice large portion of amazing white meat. As I said I am picky with texture and meat and this was the best I've had out for sesame chicken. That said, my meal was not hot for a fried dish. My dates meal was hot but lacked flavor it was like a garlic type sauce. He ordered the Bistro 3 delicacies. The server was extremely friendly, truly a standout, warm, attentive, and just wonderful throughout our visit. There was a slightly awkward moment at the entrance: a sign told us to wait to be seated, but no one was there to greet us. Instead, a man behind the bar called out from across the room to ask how many were in our party, then simply told us to "sit anywhere." It wasn't a big deal, but it felt a little off-putting and impersonal. As for the food: The wonton soup had good flavor but was just warm which was disappointing on a freezing cold day when a hot bowl of soup would have hit the spot. The pork bun and dumplings were delicious. The tea was also very good, and the overall service was prompt and efficient. It's a solid place with a friendly atmosphere and tasty dishes. Despite the small oddities, I'd say it's definitely worth a visit if you're in the area.

It was cold, tasteless, and completely different from the standard I was used to. I immediately called the waitress and explained the situation. She was polite and asked if I would like it reheated, but I said no, because the issue was not only the temperature -- the food simply was not flavorful. The vegetables were soaked in water, everything was cold, and the overall taste was terrible. My husband was very hungry and even tried to eat it, but I told him it was impossible. The manager came over, apologized, and confirmed that the food was prepared in the kitchen. We had to leave our daughter with someone else for what was supposed to be a special dinner for us, and it turned into a very frustrating experience. Unfortunately, I am truly saddened by both the quality of the food and the way the situation was handled.
