It didn't come out one after the other, they came out pretty spaced out. That annoyed me. The sushi rolls could've come out together. The ramen flavor was ok. The pork was not melt-in-your-mouth like most ramen pork. The egg was perfectly cooked. The noodles had perfect consistency. The broth was ok. The place has some age to it and only has a few tables. It does get busy so I guess it's good enough for the area.

We were eventually seated upstairs in the BYOB section, but unfortunately things went downhill from there. Our server brought wine glasses and then didn't return to the table for over 30 minutes. By the time anyone came back, we had already poured and nearly finished our own wine with no check-in, no menus, and no acknowledgment. It left us feeling overlooked, especially since we could see nearby tables receiving water and starting to order their appetizers. At that point, we decided this wasn't the right experience for us and left. Another server did stop us on our way out and seemed genuinely disappointed to see us go, which we appreciated--but by then, we didn't feel valued as customers. We would love to give this place another try because the food looked excellent and the staff seemed overwhelmed rather than uncaring. Both came out cold and fast. We ordered edamame, lotus buns, the pear and crispy goat cheese salad, and the aburi roll. The edamame were solid. Nice pop of lime, though I could have used a heavier hand with the salt. The lotus buns were a revelation. Two pillowy bao buns, each stuffed with a generous slab of slow roasted pork belly glazed in hoisin, with a pickled cucumber tucked in alongside it. I'd never had anything quite like them, and the balance was what got me: the brine and snap of the pickle cutting right through the sweetness of that glaze. Really well thought out. The aburi roll was tasty; nothing jumped out as the star moment, but everything played nicely together and it went down easy. And then there was the salad. Oh, the salad. I could eat that salad every single day of the week. Crispy fried goat cheese medallions on a salad is basically a guaranteed order for me, so that's what reeled me in initially. But once I actually started eating it, I forgot all about the goat cheese. Mixed greens, thin pear slices, halved grapes, spiced pecan halves, all dressed in a honey mustard vinaigrette that was genuinely outstanding. I've already started thinking about how to recreate it at home, which is the highest compliment I can give a salad. Teak delivered across the board. Broccoli and carrots, celery and mushrooms bathed in a spicy garlic sauce, and accompanied by a bowl of rice. The service was attentive and friendly. In fact everyone from the manager to the sushi chefs were quite friendly and accommodating. The quality of my dish was excellent; both in presentation and taste.
