Celebrating my 30th birthday in Paris, it only seemed fitting to treat myself to my first Chanel! Due to fashion week, the shop was busy but it didn't stop their 5-star service. My Mother and I were greeted with champagne and patiently waited to have our own personal shoppers assist us. Bruno and Léa were excellent. They were personable, kind, friendly and funny... all the while upholding the integrity of the Chanel standard and being so helpful in my decision making. This place was on my to do list in the City of Lights because it is the flagship store. I came in here to buy a pair of earrings because I'm pretty sure it's the only thing that I could afford in Chanel other than their beauty products. The earrings are not displayed at all and the only way you can take a look at them are by asking one of the sales associates. The sales associate that helped me out was very helpful and even gave me suggestions on which earring would look best and for decent price range. After I made my choice, I was brought to a little office where they had me sit down to pay for my purchase as they wrapped my earrings and put them in the pretty white Chanel bag, their shopping bag, not a handbag (I could only hope for one of those). read more

I wanted to get something to remember my trip to Paris, but I wasn't ready for the commitment of a bag (yet), so I decided on a piece of jewelry. I ended up picking out a ring and Virginie was so helpful through that process. We had to wait for my size to be transferred to this store. Instead of leaving us alone, Virginie asked about our interests and wrote up a list of things (not just touristy) that we could do while we were here. Though often very crowded, this is the most comfortable Chanel location and why wouldn't you want to come to see the famous staircase up to Coco's apartment and wonder about her life in this very spot! It can take awhile to get a staff member's assistance as with all the high end boutiques, they serve only one customer at the time from start to finish... but there are helpers with walkie talkies who are happy to make sure you will be attended to and provide you with an espresso or juice in the meantime. Though this is a large store, it is well segmented to provide some bit (but not much!) of intimacy. There is usually a line of at least 20 people or so to get in, but it moves quickly. Average wait time for us has always been 15 minutes at most. read more

Mademoiselle Coco was credited for being the first to dress the modern woman - a woman liberated from the misogynistic confines of the corset and free to move about as she pleased in comfortable sportswear. French sportswear! Gasp. Sometimes we forget the House of Chanel's humble pedigree. As a great admirer of Chanel (I have several pieces), I was underwhelmed by the boutique. I expected an homage to Mademoiselle - chinoisserie panels, rich tapestries, mirrors but it looked like almost every other Chanel boutique I've visited. read more

2nd time shopping here and it was much easier. I came in and asked for Kim to learn that she was on vacation. They sent me a Trainee who was still in school and she works there during summer. She was young and nervous trying to do her best. I was at that age once so I thought that was cute. She was running in and out bringing me merchandises to please me. This is my second time being to Chanel Cambon. I asked for red le boy cavier n the Japanese male SA was so rude and did not wear gloves when he showed the bag. He has bad English and hard to understand him. I ask him for dark red and he told me that's all they have and told me I am going to put it back since u don't want this red. WTF!!!! I still want to try to see how I look with the bright red. The other day the SA I bigger store found out from the list Chanel Cambon has dark red but he was too lazy to find what I want. Chanel bag is not cheap at all and I feel I deserve good service from them. I walked out the room and look for other Chanel to visit next day! read more

off course we got an awesome staff who helped us , lots of information about all their perfume exclusively sold at the chanel store. as a tourist visiting paris, if ever you plan to buy any chanel products / items just go to this store instead of just getting them at the airport or a regular chanel store. after your purchase they will guide you to coco chanels famous staircase of her apt. read more

Oh Paris! This was my first experience in Paris and it was perfect. I decided a new handbag was a great way to always have a piece of Paris with me. My husband and I arrived on a Sunday afternoon and had an extraordinary experience. When entering I let the host know that I was interested in purchasing a handbag. We were asked to have a seat until a sales associate was able to help us. We waited no more than 5 minutes for the wonderful Justine to help. I did have several photos of bags I was interested in looking at. She promptly took us upstairs to the area the bags I wanted. Justine showed me several and was even able to locate the newest bag that is sold out in most stores worldwide. We ended up purchasing not only the Gabrielle hobo bag but also three wallets, one for myself and one for my mother and mother-in-law. Justine listened, was not overtly pushy and truly wanted to make this a great experience. She even took the time to create a little present using a gift box and white flowers that are used in boxing purchases for my daughter who is 12 and did not go on the trip with us. Her sales associate, Clemence walked us through the VAT refund process efficiently. We were able to apply a refund immediately and only had to scan our paperwork at the airport. After the purchase, Justine went out of her way to walk us down the street to the original store where I was able to take a picture at the iconic staircase leading to Miss Chanel's apartment. I visited this store on Monday November 11, 2019. My birthday! I visited and celebrated my birthday in Paris for the very first time, what a treat! I wanted to treat myself by getting my very first Chanel bag at the flagship store. My SA was Monica Costas. Wow! What a helpful, sweet, lovely, kind sales associate! She made my visit and purchase into such a wonderful experience. My mom was with me the entire time and was so taken aback by Monica's warmth and kindness that she asked my Dad to buy her something! Monica showed great hospitality and kindness to my mom and I. She gave my mom and I champagne to celebrate my birthday and a sweet lipstick as a little extra birthday gift. She was nice enough to take pictures of me on Coco Chanel's legendary apartment staircase. Chanel needs more sales associates like Monica Costas. People who are kind, warm, helpful, thoughtful and patient like Monica. Walk in the door, they greet you, asked them for help & they said "oh, i'm not a salesgirl but one will help you". Not a one helped us. We finally found a girl & she lets a pair of chinese tourists cut ahead of us. When I asked her if she spoke english in french, she snaps at us in chinese??? All the Chanel and LV stores in Paris are packed with Chinese tourists. There are long lines at times to get in because of them and the sales rep told me they snatch up goods quick, especially the black or white classic styles. Nonetheless I had a great experience because my sales rep was so friendly. The VAT you get back 11% cash and 13% on credit cards make the purchase a few hundred dollars cheaper than the U.S. and a lot cheaper than China. read more

I have received amazing customer service every-time I've shopped at this store, the sales associates are great. I will not give it 5 stars, because it does take a long-time to get assistance since it's always busy, but the second a sales associate is free to help you they are more than gracious to answer your every question and show you all of the new items available for men (mainly just ties, sunglasses, and other accessories). There's so much history in the store, so it's fun just to visit, so if you are in the area definitely stop by and take a look around. read more

When you go there you realize how easy it is to spend thousands of dollars in a heartbeat. If you like spending money on Chanel, its a must visit place. It eclipses other stores in terms of the variety they have. One ding on how they take your payment. Just a couple of associates who process your payment sitting behind a desk. I get the class part, but waiting just to pay makes no sense. But what really got me going was that their point of sale device for entering the credit card number took pains to work. I had an amazing experience at Rue Cambon! My mom, sister and I walked in and a lady said a sales associate would be right with us. Xzavier helped us and he was so nice and amazing. I knew I wanted a boy bag and he pulled so many options for me and pulled other styles he thought I might like. He told me all about Chanel and her handbags and gave us water. He made the experience absolutely magical and amazing. We ended up buying a really nice Chevron Boy and even though I was indecisive for a bit he was very patient with me. I would recommend going because I was on cloud 9 when I left and I still smile when I think about this experience especially since it was my first time buying Chanel. read more

My experience at the store was wonderful!!! But the earrings I purchased broke less than 3 months later. I had to send them off to a boutique in the states to be fixed which cost an additional several hundred dollars and then they broke yet again. I reached out to customer service and have not heard back. The poor quality of the product and customer service after the sale really ruined it for me. My husband and I planned a trip just to visit the flagship boutique. We had such a wonderful experience. Our SA Sophie was sweet, knowledgeable and answered of my questions. She was so patient with me even when I was so indecisive. Best of all, after I left Paris I contacted the boutique for assistance and the manager Joanna was SO accommodating! That alone makes me want to visit over and over again. Tip: call in advance to make sure they have what you're looking, take a nice stroll in the area as the neighborhood is drop dead gorgeous. You will take the most beautiful pics there :). Also, don't forget to ask to see the most beautiful and iconic stairs leading up to Chanel's apartment. I cherish the moments I spent in the boutique and how super respectful and sweet everyone was. Even the young woman who took of our payment was so great to chat with. As for VAT refunds whoever rings you up will explain everything in detail to you. One last thing, don't forget to smile and enjoy the moment because after all you are in Paris and moreso the most iconic boutique in the gorgeous city. All the Chanel stores have a similar look and feel to me, so I can't say I was overly impressed with this particular store over other boutiques, aside from the fact that it was larger. I guess the most important part for me is what each store had in stocked, not necessarily how they look. I was on the hunt for a classic caviar bag, which are so hard to find these days, so ended up visiting four different boutiques to see what they carried (I didn't trust that just calling around would have been good enough). This store did not have a line, neither did the Montaigne store, but the two boutiques in Galeries Lafayette and Printemps both had LONG lines--I suspect it's because they're in department stores so people who come to Paris to just shop are more prone to visit those stores. In the end, the Galeries Lafayette location had what I wanted (only one and I had to return a day later to get it), so just goes to show that Cambon may not be the best location to get what you want. read more
