Low key, low hassle, simple looking bags in multiple colors. I first noticed these when I saw college girls carried it to class. Makes sense, it zips up completely on the top, is water proof in the rain, and can carry a lot of stuff! Looks pretty professional and not cringy at all, keeps a low profile, for those seeking minimlism. The reason I give it a 4/5 star as opposed to perfection is because the outer covering is made of fine woven fibers that with time gets dirty or simply worn. Replacement bag is needed every 1-2 years depending on how you often you use it and how you take care of it. I see the mixed reviews for the sales staff, and did experience it myself when I visited this location. However we got lucky and this one sales person was very patient and helpful with our purchases. She was able to provide information and feed back which made our purchases much easier. Overall good experience with her. We did go to the men's location right across the way and was assisted by this lovely lady who was super friendly and welcoming. It was like we were friends from the start. I always visit when I'm in town for more than 2 days and make sure to ask my best friends if they need anything (tell them to visit the French Longchamp site). It's a win win situation - le pliage packs so compactly in your suitcase and it really helps if you have some friends who need something to help you meet the 175e VAT refund requirement to get your 12 percent VAT refund. If you are time conscious, and are shopping for le pliage, make a beeline for the back of the first floor. If not, there are small leather goods and women's handbags on the rest of the first floor. The second floor has mens' bags and travel bags. Crowds come and go. I've been here when it was absolutely slammed but there's never been a time when I had trouble getting hold of a salesperson to write up my order. You pick what you want. They will gather your order, get a new bag if applicable, and proceed to the register to ring you up. This sometimes requires waiting as the register can be very busy. You will need your passport for VAT refund (and sometimes they will remind you when you last visited). read more

Great shopping day here. The store is really close to the subway station. I got myself the foam-y le pliage hand bag that's a little bigger than the smallest one and it only comes in black or purple. The display bags were made in France but the ones that were new were made in Romania. The store clerk could not give me a discount but cleaned the display one for me, which I appreciated. The rest of the le pliage bags are made in China. They had all the fall 2013 colors but not in all sizes. I bought one shoulder bag for my mom in blush that is smaller than the heavy duty one everyone carries. They ran out of the dark grey in the bigger size. The service was pretty good. They carefully gift wrap bags individually here and guide you through the duty-free tax procedure. You must spend at least $176 at one participating store to receive the duty-free tax discount (12% off of the price). Men in suits carry the laptop bag as their man bag here. Longchamp sale season for 2013 was BIG disappointment. We decided to visit the store in Concorde on the Tuesday, but it was closed, we only got there at 2.30pm, but they were all getting ready for sale season in Paris. Surely they should pay staff overtime for staying longer the night before instead of organising everything during the afternoon? Anyways, decided to go the second day, sale season for 2013 was a bit rubbish. My friend wanted to get a few of their signature bags and the only ones on sale were rather ugly colours. But people were still going crazy because they were all 50euros. All the sale bags were at the back of the store- as in the le pliage ones- the only ones that people were ACTUALLY buying. Everything else was ignored. They weren't selling the huge keyboard le pliage bag though. Apparently designed nylon costs over 200 euros. Grabbed a few scarves as souvenirs, but not cheap 35euros each. Sorely disappointed with the sales. But also, this review is also hampered by the fact that I don't particularly like many of their bag designs- I can't get past the obvious stitching on their le pliage bags. and paying that much for nylon. read more

I visited the store to buy some gifts for my family back at home and needed to purchase about 4 different bags. The store was very crowded and difficult to browse, and because I did not have time to go through each of the different colors, I asked one of the employees for a "fig" color which my friend ordered, since I didn't know what fig was, and he seemed to understand english and confidently handed me a bag. Turns out it was a wrong color when i came back and checked at home. Then another older lady employee was kind enough to pick out bags for me in a less crowded area, from the drawers. Little did I know that only employees were supposed to handle bags from the drawer. But since she helped me pick one out from the drawers, I later returned to the drawers to pick my last bag while she held onto my 3 other bags from a distance. All of a sudden, a younger lady employee standing near the drawer grabs my hand and yells, "What do you think you are doing?" After I told her I wanted to pick out some bags and told her that the other employee said it was ok, she goes to the kinder older employee and starts talking angrily in French, and I couldn't understand a word she was saying, but it was a very unpleasant shopping experience. She was rude and she clearly should not have responded physically like that, and treat me like I was trying to steal something. And she should not speak angry French in front of lost American customers when I know she can speak good English, just not good manners as an employee. Although the older lady was pleasant and helpful and the bags were beautiful, I was extremely unhappy after the entire shopping experience, and really didn't want to spend so much money there. I suggest finding another location in Paris for a more pleasant experience during your vacation. read more
