While I love the OG Coco Chanel stairs at the Rue de Cambon... this location has sweeter SAs!! My experience here was beyond amazing, catered to and really taken care of. My friend and I both got 1 bag each, and 3 small wallets (for family). Paris has a quota - 1 passport = 1 bag. So choose wisely! Rules to know: Don't touch the displays Don't cut the queue Make sure you find the lady with a clipboard! My first experience was great. Came here around the holidays of 2017 and the service was excellent. Sales ppl were friendly and informative and I ended up get two chain wallets one in red and the other in black. Extremely happy w/ my purchase. Came back today around 5 pm and this place was completely packed. They told me there was a wait. Understandable. As I waited I looked around and a purse grabbed my eye. As I went for it the security guard ran up to me and was like no mam please don't touch?? I'm like it's on display?!? He politely said that only a sales person can show me and I needed to wait until one became available. I looked around and looked like it would be a minimum of an hour wait. I don't mind waiting especially for Chanel but now I can't touch?? No thank you! When a client wants to spend $$$$ let them shop! If Chanel in Champs Elysee have an issue with theft up your security and more salespeople would help! I still want that purse but looks like I'll get it in Nice, France instead! read more

I should really be letting my fiance review this since the it was really her purchase (even though she used my credit card) however I have to say that we had a very pleasant experience at this store. Compared to other high end stores, we weren't ostracized by the staff. Instead they were extremely helpful and didn't look down at us as we were tourists and weren't really dressed up. My fiance ended up purchasing two Chanel stud earrings from which she said was significantly cheaper than purchasing at the states. First off, the prices were cheaper (with the tax) and then because we're tourists, there's also the duty free since our total purchase was over $175 Euros. So comparatively, I believe she said it was about like 30% off US list prices which is pretty good I must say. I would definitely recommend getting the tax off if you do a huge purchase at a store as it can save you quite a bit of money. read more

I brought a friend to Paris who is interested in a fashion career for a trip of a lifetime and Anna contributed to this by showing us several of the classic bags and telling us the history behind them. We were treated with such care and respect. It was quite special to see these bags that you cannot normally find in the US stores and to be given such a high level of customer service. Extremely rude staff that completely ruined the experience of buying my first Chanel bag. Pretty sure the SA gave me one that was heavily tried on on the sales floor. When I was paying I asked about the return policy and the cashier shouted at me. Learn about customer service and realize you have very international customers who come from places with excellent customer service. I ended up returning the bag in the US (at a store which has excellent customer service) because I had such negative feelings with the bag that it no longer felt special. In respect to the Chanel store on Montaigne that is specialized more with accessories, I absolutely LOVE this location. Service and variety of selection here is by far my most favorite in Paris, after having spent a good amount of time at Rue Cambon, Galleries Lafayette, and the ready-to-wear-specialized Montaigne store. Stephanie was my SA and she was so attentive and thoughtful. Not to mention she brought out all my dream items - a mini square classic flap, a brown card holder, and a pair of Chanel ballet flats (definitely super broke but happy). She made my mom and I's last Chanel store visit in Paris a very memorable one and if/when we come back to Paris, we're skipping over all the other Chanel stores and heading straight for this one. I purchased an exquisite pair of earrings at this Chanel while the BF and I were on holiday in Paris. Classic, beautiful and distinctively limited; which is ultimately what encouraged me to choose the pair that I did. Sure, they spend more time in my safe than in my ears, but I'll cherish them and the memory (just in case I don't make it back)... for the rest of my life. It's funny because I was somewhat timid walking through those doors! I shouldn't have been... I think it was just the "OMGAH, I'm actually shopping on avenue Montaigne right now in Paris" that overwhelmed me. The sales staff that helped us were extremely friendly. Maybe they could sense I'm an avid admirer... After all, it's Coco and her classic suits, crepe wools and jersey and the iconic 1955 quilted leather handbag that I adore in fashion. And in life, Coco encourages us to embrace the moment and to live life on our own terms. She once said "Success is often achieved by those who don't know that failure is inevitable" which is a mantra I hold near and dear to my heart. We explored the boutique for some time, but I'm not much a fan of Lagerfeld so our focus was on accessories... loads of jewelry... and a wall of handbags... ahhh... This is my second purchase at this chanel boutique. Personally I prefer this store over the rue de cambon store. The service here is MUCH more attentive and friendly. I had Desiree as my sales personnel and she was a delight to work with. She was very patient, funny, and honest. Because of this, she elevated my shopping experience at Chanel to the utmost highest level. Yes - you will save anywhere between $200-400 if you purchase a chanel bag in Paris than in the states. I definitely recommend buying chanel here in Paris if you can! Also, they wrap your purchase with a nice big box with a nice big bow too! This location is the 3rd CHANEL boutique I visited on the hunt for Le Boy bag. I went to the flagship store first (on Rue Cambon) with the hope they would have better/larger selection, but they only have 3 colors of the Boy bag (black, blue & red) in small & medium size. I'm looking for the new 28 cm size (it's between the med & large size) in non-black or non-beige (no light colors; it will color-transfer if you wear dark color clothing, esp jeans). Second stop was the Rue Royale. They have the 28 size, but in black. The SA on both stores mentioned the Boy are selling like pancakes. Then at this Montaigne store, they have turquoise in 28, but my SA (her name is Lei) helped me check if other store has the bag I want. Indeed, I went to Galeries Lafayette & found it. It made my day!! Overall, all the SA's are nice & helpful. You just gotta know & tell them which bag you want & not just browse aimlessly *PS: For VAT refund, you get 10.8% cash or 12% return to CC (by mail, takes about 2 months). read more

Gorgeous store, great selection, great service when you can get it. They are extremely busy so I ended up almost walking out the door when no one was available to assist me. But since I was there anyway, I had a seat and rested my legs a bit. Price was better than stateside so take advantage of it and the tax return. This was my second time visiting this location, after arriving in Paris. I walked into the boutique with my luggages for the second time, and I was greeted in a warm manner. It was only 11:00 AM and there was no queue which was incredible. I had the Classic Medium Flap bag and Lambskin Espadrilles in mind before arriving. I met my sales associate Fanny, who was very patient, kind, and accommodating. I asked to take a look at the black Classic Medium Flap bag in the gold hardware, the medium Chevron bag, and a few others. I took my time before deciding on a bag and she was very patient throughout the process. She showed me a few pieces that she recommended as well. After purchasing the medium flap bag, I asked if there were any espadrilles in stock. She responded in a very sweet way, "we have many!" which made me very excited to see the options. They did not have my size in this specific style that I was looking for, but I saw a pair of nude Lambskin Espadrilles in my size that I could not keep my eyes off of. They were not on display, but I had to request to see it. They were the only pair left and I saw that other customers had shown interest in the pair that I was holding. The other party asked my sales associate if they could see the espadrilles that I was looking at, but my sales associate said that she was assisting me first and that they can take a look after me, which was very kind. Some sales associates rush and want to sell a product to the customer that is willing to pay first but this was not the case. I had an amazing experience at this location because I was assisted by Fanny. Even better than my first visit at this location! read more

I don't think I can possibly purchase anymore Chanel items in the states after this visit. The selection and pricing in this Paris boutique is undoubtedly one of the best I've seen in Chanel's around the world. (Close tie between this location and Ginza in Tokyo Japan). The fact that the location is not on busy Champs Elysees makes shopping here more relaxed and enjoyable. There can be a wait for a Sales Associate to help you. But they are very knowledgeable and patient in helping you find that perfect bag. read more

I had the worst experience here... I was super excited to purchase my Chanel bag and I knew exactly what I wanted . When I arrived I was greeted and connected to a sales women who was extremely rude. She asked me what did I want and I told showed her the type of purse I was looking for. She just looked and me up and down and laughed with her coworker. At this point, I wasn't sure what to do, I have never had this happen to me. We had be walking all day and maybe I didn't look as polish as we normally do. But who does when you are waking all day in the cold? We were their to shop, not do give her a fashion show. She proceeded to show me the bag and was just so dry with me and it was obvious she did not want to deal with me. I just left the bag and walked away. Reflecting back I wish I would of asked for a manager. If I'm going to spend 3500 euros I expect to be treated with respect. I'm headed to Rome and hope to have a better experience. read more

I love, Love this place!! I know who wouldn't love Chanel in paris. I have been here twice and the first time we didn't have that much money to spend however the service was great. expect to wait to get service there is a ton of people there. Our second visit was a few weeks back and at the beginning the lady at the door was a little rude but once we started talking to her and asked for Manuela who was our sales person the last time she was more than accommodating to make sure we got her. they sat us in a private room and offer us beverages and their fancy all marble bathroom in the second floor. after just a few minutes Manuela joined us and ask us what we looking for and our budget which it had highly increased since the last time we were there. she was so nice and helpful I was so happy with the service I received she wasn't pushy or rushed me. also now at Chanel to get your tax credit you need to bring your passport which we didn't but since we were in the system it didn't matter. Their selection is the best and you won't regret to spend your month salary in there if anything you will wish you got more stuff like me. oh well there is always next year when we return to Europe. read more

I never write reviews but I must explain how disappointed I was on this location. From the get-go we did not even reach the entrance of the store when the security came outside and told us to get in line because "there were too many people in the store" and he spoke to us in Spanish assuming we spoke this language? After waiting 20 minutes and seeing about 15 people let in by this same security we decided to leave as we felt discriminated against. I recently visited the store with 4 girlfriends, in for a short quick trip and not a lot of time to spare. Chanel was our 3rd stop, after Louis Vuitton and Hermes. Imagine our surprise when the ladies in Chanel were quick to approach us, the most courteous and friendly of the three. We worked with Adeline Girard, who fancied our every request and made sure no question was left unanswered. She was gracious and sweet and funny through the two days we spent with her off and on. I love the service here compared to the rue cambon store. I stumbled here by accident while walking down champs elysees. I was helped by a sales associate and forgot my passport for the tax refund. Thankfully she was very kind to hold the bag for me while I went back to get it. The service was excellent and it felt relaxed to shop here. I didn't feel pressured at all while looking at the different bags. The stores tend to run out of the classics quickly but they were kind to show me other bags they had. I don't know if this is boutique I went to on Montaigne ave in Paris, I had very bad experience with them. I purchased a classic flap on nov 26,2017 the moment I went back to my hotel I realized I just made a very bad decision. The cf I bought in small size I couldn't crossbody wearing it, so I returned to the store the next morning and ask for a refund or maybe exchange. At first when the staff there heard I wanna return or exchange nobody wanted to help me, finally a very ugly and angry manger or maybe she is a SA came out, yelled at me that it is impossible to return it. I said what about exchange, she asked me which one I want to exchange I told her which one she didn't even want to help me try to compare or try few bags. I feel very upset but couldn't say anything as maybe that's their rules. I spent 6000 Canadian dollars on that bag! I think I deserve to find a bag I really like. However the staff there failed to help me in any way. I don't ever think I wanna go back to that store. Yea I think the one I went to is 51 ave Montaigne. : ( read more

Incredibly rude. I had a bag picked out that I was ready to spend a couple thousand dollars on and stood there for 10 minutes with no sales people asking to help and being dismissed by one who was too busy. I finally just picked up the bag to look at and was was immediately yelled at in French by an employee. I then asked for help and was dismissed by 2 different employees saying they would find somebody else to help me. They were only catering to women who where with men, and as a young woman I felt discriminated against. After 30 minutes of standing around and seeing other people get service before me, I left and took my business across the street to Celine. Celine was much more pleasant and I was helped immediately by a pleasant sales woman who gave me the best service possible. I bought a beautiful bag Celine instead. I will not be buying any more Chanel after this degrading experience. read more

Went to this store as well as the one down the street from it. I'm just going to say that everyone down to the security guards were rude. I was told not to touch the purses on the display shelf in a very rude manner. I waited for quite some time for sales help and saw other women who came after me get helped before me. I had flagged down the sales assistants three times and they told me that someone would help me as soon as available, but 30-40 minutes later I was still waiting. Initially the place had a good amount of people there, though not packed. Towards the end, there werent that many people, but they still told me to wait. I got fed up and left. I walked to the other store across the street and the service was the same. 30 minutes waiting with eberyone else being helped but me so I ended up leaving. Had planned to get a bag but service was terrible and their attitudes disgusting. Annoyed as hell cuz I was flying out the next day and I had wasted my time going to this shit store instead of the prada or gucci. read more
