I was walking around and everything and then we stopped by Chanel and then this guy was rude and told me and my partner to wait and then he point 2 fingers into the coworker and told someone to come over maybe a manager to see if we go in, after 5 mins outside while is almost 40 and really windy the let us in and we were force to put our cup of water in a separate place, we went through the second door and I instantly felt the bad energy of the place. One employee was like if you need help let me know and they all were in their phone. Tbh it's not that serious and if youre in this stores that are luxury you should be nice. She also ensured my experience was great, I came here because I was simply looking for a new bag, went in, browsed around and told her I will be back if I didn't find anything I liked in a different store. Came back and Karolina helped me ensure I was comfortable with my bag, she was not pushy, or trying to upsell me anything else. She focused on what I was looking for and gave me my space to browse. On a relatively impromptu whim to visit this boutique about 30 minutes from closing, I wasn't sure what kind of service to expect and it was nothing short of perfect and personal as luxury shopping should be. Arrived at 4:33pm on a Sunday only to find out they stop letting people in at 4:30pm , 30 min before the store closes . Everywhere says 5pm closing. The only spot you will know they close 30 min early is the sign on their window. Called the store and an operator told me she will send an inquiry, we explained we are in front of the store and she said they will call me. From beginning to end, the shopping experience at Chanel was sublime. I've visited multiple times and each visit was enjoyable, fun, and even educational. It's obvious the advisors at the Chicago boutique are exceptionally well-trained, knowledgeable about each of the products, and seem to enjoy working together. Beyond the great customer service, the boutique itself is elegantly contemporary. I was pleasantly surprised a space could feel so elevated and yet remain comfortable and grounded enough to still be inviting (a tribute again to the demeanor and hospitality of the advisors and front door staff). It should go without saying the products and post-purchase care are of course excellent. I would give six out of five stars for the Chicago boutique and its entire team if I could. read more

I will never go back to this store. I was not treated nicely and in fact, I saw the advisor rolling her eyes as she walked away from me even though I purchase an original medium flap. I felt like she was rushing me and pushing me to buy something I didn't want. I was so disgusted that I vowed to return it. My wonderful husband booked us a trip to Paris where we were treated so nicely, the way a brand like this should treat you. The customer service in Paris is beyond! I just want to say if you go there ask for james townsend he really went above and beyond to try to help me. i fell in love with a pair of shoes unfortunately my size was gone but boy he really went in the back room looking hard to find my size or a comparable style i might like that was similar. He just can really read your style and pick out amazing options for you. I went into Chanel- that's now 65 E. Oak (they've moved from the flagship store on Michigan). Now, they're on the same block w/ such staples as, Hermès and Vera Wang but still in a class if it's own. Now, the thing with high end stores are that there's a Pretty Woman complex there. Meaning, you will have money to spend there, but they won't f- -k with you unless they KNOW you're there to spend it. However, NOT TODAY and not @ Chanel. I walked up. The doorman opened the door for me. It was a Saturday and very busy so I was expecting to be ignored! I walked in and was immediately approach by a pleasant woman name Karyn. She showed me so many bags (don't u dare say purse) that my head was spinning. I knew what I wanted and had stopped in JUST to see if their inventory was better than what was online. My gawd!! Yes it was!! BEAUTIFUL GOWNS!!! (in my Aretha voice). She pulled back the door and I was ENLIGHTENED! COLORS!! STYLES!! SIZES!! Oh my! Karyn offered me drinks: sparkling water, libations, etc etc. She took me upstairs to show me boots, she gave me lil knowledge on the location (Coco Chanel is engraved in the...well go there and she'll tell you). Once I finally picked a color, style, and size, she took me over to get a lil pampering (which is when I THEN decided for some champagne, dahling ). She had Jackie and Troy (lovely young man. We vibed over some 80's music playing over the sound system) gave me a hand treatment and beat my face with a lil rouge and brow powder). Once my bag was wrapped and ready to go, Karyn came to take me over to pay. Oh yea! I forgot I owe y'all some $! Karyn was so patient b/c my card kept getting declined. I don't make big purchases like this often but Hell! t's my birthday, I can buy if I want to! She was very patient although was closing time AND I had to call my card company. Eventually, she came up with a resolution and I was able to make my purchase. I'll go back to this store but I'll call to see if Karyn is working there b4hand. She made the experience tolerable as most tend to ignore you or look down their noses. Update 12/2019 Sadly, I have to give Karen (no longer Karyn) a negative review. The boutique director emailed and invited me to an exclusive event. Karen was supposed to have sent me details but there was no communication. I emailed and emailed. When I took it into the store the manager said "how do I know that's our product". "You're right, are used all the product and then filled it with oil of Olay so I could bring it back and get a freebie. Give me a break!!!! The manager on duty was clearly a self made millionaire as she looked down on me like I was a thief. I contacted customer service and they were appalled at the behavior of this manager. I had a good experience here buying my first Chanel Handbag. I had been looking to purchase the Chanel Deauville and understood that it was a hard to find item so I came into the store assuming I wasn't going to find one. I was also dressed more like a tourist and wasn't wearing anything special that screamed I'm ready to buy. When I arrived, the store was busy (it was a Saturday on a holiday weekend). However, I was greeted and started looking at their bags. An SA approached me quickly and I asked about the Deauville's. I was asked to wait a little bit while they checked and offered a beverage. At this point, I wasn't sure it was going to be in stock, but they had a good selection of the Gabrielle's as well so I figured I'd look. They had one in stock that they offered to me and I ended up purchasing it. Checkout was easy and they gave me a glass of champagne. If there were any weird stares, it was actually from other customers who were dressed better than I was. My experience in this boutique and with this SA (sorry forgot his name) was the kind of service I expect when going to Chanel. I will say that with my experience at this location and their Vegas locations, I will likely purchase from these locations in the future instead of the Orange County and Beverly Hills locations even if they are closer to me. The only reason I docked one star is that I haven't received any follow up or thank you from them. I figured for a 3k purchase, they would at least send you a card or something. I keep forgetting I bought a slightly ostentatious but decent white leather and metal brooch oh dear is it broach, no brooch one wears broach one does. But my main bit was refilling my parfum supplies. Troy was quite lovely and the experience went on and on and I may have been a bit dissying, One gal, rather of the Tilda Swinton ilk, admired my shiny and Chanel-esque necklaces which are to be had for a song here in Apalachicola at the Rivercity Mercantile. We were in Chicago to see Lara Fabian. Tickets were hideously priced and we learned later we'd've been much better off to see her in Quebec. Long story short, I changed my mind and went with a ltd-edition or special set fragrance (Gardenia) and skipped another flacon (crystal bottle of perfume) of Chanel No. 5. all of which is silly as my go-to fragrance for decades is Coco eau de parfum and I am now out of it. I unpacked the bag back in Florida and I had Chanel No. 5 - they never went with my change of heart. So working with Troy I arranged and shipped back the 5 for Gardenia and in the letter specifically requested a flacon of Gardenia parfum (I still have some on a bottle but I don't recall from where). Troy sent me an eau de parfum glass bottle. I keep spritzing and spritzing and it's light as rain. Lovely but no drama. No perfume. So now I am in the process of getting back with Troy to go with Coco. Troy apparently didn't quite get the flacon reference and we none of us knew Gardenia currently cannot be had in perfume in the USA. So things were not perfect, but to be fair, I am dizzying. I am an artist and aesthete and I want to design for Chanel, work with Virginie Viard, as we are born the same year, and I am a busy one. Also, I have some weird Chanel connection. DOB is 28 April, the feast of St. Peter of Chanel. Birth surname ROCHON and family surname KAHLER and real father's surname TROLAN all have at least three of the CHANEL letters. I grew up with Chanel as Mom and I are French and now French-American. Christmas is a-coming and Chicago's shop is busting over with business. Standing at the counter awaiting assistance, a man in front of me opened drawers/made notes on a clipboard, paying no attention to me, then walked right past me without acknowledging my presence; only finally turning around when I said I was there to pick up an item. He then left me at the counter and continued his clipboard work with apparently no intention of helping me, while another staff member nearby got into an argument with a phone client, then stormed by me shaking her head without acknowledging my presence. Luckily a genial young man happened to walk by, immediately asking if I needed help when I looked up, then promptly retrieving my item. I was looking for a beige classic Chanel bag in dec2020. 6 months later I get a call stating that the bag was there at the store and Ineeded to buy the bag immediately . Since they had my credit card info , they would go a ahead and process the payment . Only problem was I am in Portugal and i received the message at 12.30 am my time . I told the lady I will be back in Chicago in 3 days and I will stop by the store to pick the bag . I would like to pay at the store . The sales rep was insistent that they ran my card right away which I was not comfortable with . She was obnoxious , unprofessional and extremely rude . The staff were helpful in making the sale and brought it to me in a box in a bag. When I got home and gave it to my wife, the security tag was still on the bag. The saleswoman gave me her business card and has never responded to my messages.
