ENT Doctor office. My grandpa has never ever met the doctor listed in the office. He only gets to see the nurse practitioner. My grandpa comes to the office for wax removal which is good The complaint is w the unsanitary state of the waiting area. There is no air in the upper part of this sun room office. And during a visit. A woman was coughing incessantly in the office and not wearing a mask. She blew her nose and then proceeded to use the locked door that a patient has to physically touch and pull to open. I don't know how doctor's offices get away with not having handicap opening doors but they must find a better way to accommodate their patients. Some who are elderly. The PA there is clear, concerning, and through. She is exceptional and the exception. The girls behind the front desk need to take a crash course in professionalism. One of them signaled to me by banging on the front desk that's directly behind the glass. The short Male Non-asian employee there who can speak Mandarin mumbled through the entire visit. He did not seem confident in his statements. He mainly chatted with the girls behind the front desk and gives the impression of being there for the girls and the paycheck. Great office and doctor. Dr. Chan was the utmost professional. Knowledgeable and great bedside manner. Came in for a ear pain and was diagnosed and treated correcting the issue. The service from the office staff and wait time was good. From making a appointment and in the office wait to treatment was great. Insurance coverage took care of it as they take several insurances. Went to him years ago and he has what I call a "condescending laugh." If you are someone that likes to ask questions, he is not the doctor for you. He knows it all which you would think would be reassuring, but it comes across cocky and like he's doing you a favor by even given your questions consideration. I have an extreme deviated septum and septal spurs and he didn't even want to give me a nose spray (this was before they were available OTC like candy). Unbelievably ridiculous!!! They call to confirm an appointment that wasn't even being made by my family member which was so odd out of the blue. When I called back to confirm that I never made such an appointment neither anyone else in the family did, the Receptionist was giving me such an attitude. First of all, you were the one that make the wrong appointment which give me a false idea that maybe my dad's insurance is hacked or something. Secondly, you are providing service for the patient, why giving attitude for such a small correction? Definitely don't recommend going to see this doctor if they don't change this ridiculous attitude of theirs. Additionally, the Receptionist was trying to emphasize that scheduling an appointment for someone that never called in or never went to your office is not a big deal. So, are you also trying to tell me that if someone falsely used my dad's insurance and get medical treatment, it is not a big deal? The doctor and PA are very nice and after I had my appointment and took the medicine I felt much better. I had been dealing with what I thought were bad allergies but turned out to be a infection. After taking my medicine I felt much better. The receptionists were really nice and I easily got my medicine from a nearby pharmacy. read more

I punctured my right ear when i was a kid with a Q-tip and dealt with years of hearing loss, ringing sounds and smelly brown discharge. Felt like i can only hear 30% from my right ear. It really messed me up at work and social. Saw bunch of doctors in chinatown and Brooklyn with no success. Over the years it got worst and became chronic mastoiditis & Cholesteatoma. Dr. Edwin Chan is the only doctor the last 12 years that was able to fix my ear. I know i won't restore 100% hearing but i feel like my right ear can hear 80% now , which i am really happy about and the ringing sound went away. I just need a cleaning every 4 months. First time here by walk-in and waited for three hours to see the doctor. I'm the last patient and it was 7pm already, but Dr. Wu was nice and patient. He checked not only the problem I told him about, which was my ear, but also other parts, my nose and throat to see how my overall conditions were. He never rushed to end my appointment. All the ladies on the front desk is so disrespectful. They speak with an huge attitude. You can't ask them any questions at all they will throw attitude back at you. They've written down the wrong date for me to meet with the doctor and if I want to see the doctor I have to wait for another whole month. Even though they close at 6:00pm they always say they close at 5pm no matter what the situations are. I do not recommended going to the place because the front desk is not worth your time. read more

Definitely make an appointment before coming in here. The wait can be long at times but I think it's great that they have a water cooler in the waiting room for when you get thirsty. The location is super convenient. It's right up Chase Bank on Main Street, across from the big parking lot. Both doctor and nurses/assistants have very good bed side manner. Everyone is super nice and pleasant. I totally recommend Dr. Chan if you're looking for an ENT. read more

I was referred to Dr.Edwin Chan by my internist Dr.Tao Wu on May 2016. The NY Eye & Ear infirmary building is seen from afar as bluish and the elevators are transparently designed in a way that lets passengers see the streets below. It is just a few blocks away from the Charles B.Wang Community Health Center. Some of the secretaries were of dulcet tones. The waiting room is lighted with various windows. On my first visit an assistant took my pressure and asked health questions taking note of them in a computer. Then,Dr.Chan came in and we had a private consultation. He seemed to be serene and savvy. He felt with lucidity my neck and detected the lymph node that was enlarged,swollen with a mass and lump.He prescribed me Amoxicillin 875mg,1 tablet orally every 12 hrs, for ten days. That was the reason on why my face was inflated (also because of anemia I by that time gained weight) -now that the lymph node swelling is gone and I have moderated my food intake, I am currently in well form. Dr.Chan was swift and exact. He checked my tongue with a wooden tongue depressor. Moreover, before inserting the flexible nasal endoscope through my nose, he utilized a decongestant medicine that cleared my nasal passage. The long endoscope was inserted imperturbably by Dr.Chan. Finally, the removal of impacted cerumen on my ears (which was due to accumulated usage of q-tips or others I have used to clean my ears...) was quite dolorous I beared it. When Dr.Chan inserted the cerumen iron suction removal tool my right ear started to bleed because the impacted cerumen was so tightly adhered to my ear. He was able to assuage me by telling me it was normal and not to be concerned. For two days one of my ears was clogged -it takes a couple of days for the ears to get accustomed of the removal. In ten days I returned to Dr.Chan and my lymph node was substantially less inflamed. The amoxicillin worked to diminish the inflammation but its after effects were upset stomach and other symptoms. I asked Dr.Chan to suggest me a great ear cleaning and he noted it for my pharmacy. He told me to come back for the annual ENT checkup. I am pleased with the velocity he had in resolving my health issues. read more

I visited Dr. Chan's clinic twice and he spoke to me less than 10 sentences and 5 minutes (including listen to my symptoms) in total. I choose this ENT because of all the good reviews online, however, VERY DISAPPOINTED. He does not really interested on listen to patients history nor keep his patients informed. On both my visits, he just briefly asked me why I was there and refer me to another doctor. I thought he spend so little time because everything was "normal" to him. My son has a perforated eardrum that is not heal for a long time. Dr. Chan only asked " do you want surgery? " without any other options, he then ended the visit by "There is nothing I can do." His office may look clean and professional but what good does it do if the doctor does not even care about his patients. read more
