My PCP and doubles as Gastroenterologist for years. Dr Kam's vast medical experience has convinced me there is no need for other doctors. He and the entire staff is professional, kind, and absolutely listens to every word you say and takes everything into consideration. I wouldn't recommend anyone else. Dr. Is very attentitive makes sure he does all the testing for patient. I searched him through yelp and just like all the reviews I really trusted him as my kids doctor. Attentive doctor, spent 20 mins with us on our first visit! Usually you're lucky to get 5 mins with a doc. He's a DO not an MD, but that's cool. Location is a bit tough, parking can be hectic since they just opened an Asian super market in that plaza and it can be a zoo. Also his office is on the second floor far away from an elevator. If your visiting with mobility limitations, get a head start. read more

The 3 stars is for the way the administration is handled at the office . First , getting a refill is like pulling teeth even though you see the doctor on a regular basis. They will make you make a video call just for a refill on maintenance medication. I also called with a pressing issue to speak to the doctor. I was told the doctor does not call patients. Everything is by appointment in office or video call. Whoever called me back said if it was an emergency go to the urgent care center. That is not why I have a PCP!!! And now the reason I am no longer his patient. Dr kam is very knowledgeable and does a thorough medical exam , he himself would get 5 stars. Very impressed with several things 1. Ease in making appt - dr Kam has a lot of options including Saturday availability 2. Kindness of front desk staff - polite, friendly, engaged in conversation, very welcoming 3. Medical asst/PA/nurse - not quite sure what his title is, but he weighed me/took BP and took blood. I was a patient of Dr Kam for few years, I am very skinny and alway easy to get sick. That time I had flu and he gave me a very strong antibiotic. I pass out after I took it and went into hospital. He is a nice person but very careless to the patient . After I ask other Dr and they told me this is a very strong medication shouldn't been prescribed to someone like me that so light weight. Dr. Kam is a gentleman. He is extremely competent, knowledgeable and caring. He is attentive and is committed to provided his patients with the best possible care. Its rare, in this day and age, to find a patient that actually cares. Dr. Kam cares deeply for his patients. Everyone should know; Dr. Kam is a patriot as well! He served as a Physician in the United States Army. I suppose that's where he learned how to be such a great Physician. Horrible practice , had a appointment for 11:15 for My blood work, they insisted for me not to eat , I come at 10:30 to be there early . Well it's already 12 pm still no doctor and I tel the receptionist that I Don't feel well , haven't eaten or drank and feel nauseous. She said well go to emergency room. Even during the pandemic, not only have they been abiding to COVID cautions (face shield, masks, taking temperatures, ensuring social distance, etc.), but they have also been accommodating to helping patients safely make appointments. Dr. Kam and his staff are professional, courteous, and friendly. He took the time to answer my questions and addressed patiently my health concerns. His patient portal system is also very easy to use, and I was able to access my lab values a couple days later from my iPad at home. The wait time is pretty decent--usually around 20 min. What I appreciated the most about the clinic is that both the nurse and Dr. Kam dedicated a generous amount of time to my care. Nowadays, physicians are pressured to see more & more patients in less & less time, so I am grateful to have found Dr. Kam. I even recommended him to both my dad and my husband. read more

Finding a private primary care doctor's office is rare nowadays with all the hospital/urgent care takeover. I'm glad to have found Dr. Kam and am pleased to call him my PCP. The exam rooms are small and do not have computers which means that the medical staff and Dr. Kam is talking directly to you, not staring and typing away on a computer screen! Don't worry...they do have computers and use Practice Fusion for electronic health record keeping. They have a patient portal where you can see lab results and appointment information. The parking lot is tiny so I always opt to street park. read more

Dr. Kam's clinic is one of the best I went. The place is clean, the staff was wonderfull. They treated us like a patient not just some one they have to get ride off. The thoroughness of Dr. Kam and follow-up are like no doctors I have ever had. In additions my kids love Dr. Kam. I know my kids, they are hard to deal with. During a recent followup to a blood test, he took the time to explain what the results meant and answered all my questions. Probably the best visit I have ever had with a physician in my entire life. The practice itself is very clean and organized and all staff members were friendly and professional. Dr. Kam is very knowledgable, professional and shows genuine concern for his patients. He has great bedside manner. I have had my fair share of bad experiences with doctors that don't really seem to care about their patients either by rushing them, dismissing/not listening to their concerns or focusing on the money aspect but I felt very comfortable during both of my visits at Dr. Kam's office. He also seems to be pretty punctual as there was not much wait time involved. Despite not having insurance and having to pay out of pocket, I still would love to come here again on a routine basis to keep my health in check! I'm a busy student, attending college full-time while working two jobs. Making a doctor's appointment is never easy. I needed a refill on my prescription for my birth control. I explained to the receptionist that I will come in for my appointment, but I needed a refill TODAY. She refused to ask the doctor for a refill until I came in. Literally the coolest guy. Dr. Kam and his staff the whole package. Extremely kind, easy to talk to, knowledgable, skilled, etc. I've been to plenty of other Drs offices, this one clearly stands out. The front desk makes appts and actually keeps to them. I was inside within 10-15 min. The office is nice and clean. Usually there is an odor or this aroma of sickness lol, idk how else to explain, but not here. Not over crowded. They are so good at drawing blood. I went to see this doctor last month because of a small lump on my neck. The doctor suggested me to schedule an ultrasound test. The ultrasound test report said a small nodule was seen and recommended contrast-enhanced CT examination for further characterization. I did some homework and investigated it myself. Based on what I learned and because the nodule was small and stable, I decided not to take the recommended CT test immediately. So when the doctor's office called me, I said so. The lady who called me was obviously unhappy and complained I did not listen to the doctor. Several days later, I received a letter from the doctor's office, notifying me the doctor had terminated my service because I failed to cooperate with the medical care plan we discussed (but we had never discussed any plan except the recommendation for an ultrasound test). The letter was signed the same day of the phone call and the termination took effect on that day too. The doctor has overreacted for some reason I do not understand, probably he feels being offended when a patient disagrees with him. The doctor's decision is emotional and unprofessional. It shows this doctor is not trustworthy. I selected this doctor because of the excellent reviews posted on several websites. But now I realize it's too good to be true. Most of the 5-star reviews only have one sentence and give no specific details or reasons, which is not normal. read more

I can't say enough about this office. I say 'office' because they are all terrific, Dr. Kam, Lu & Vivian. They are EFFICIENT in all that they do from making appointments to referrals and follow ups.
