I typically don't write reviews, but I felt it was important to share my experience regarding the…read moretreatment I received from a staff member at the front desk. I was particularly concerned because many of the patients there are elderly, and it's disheartening to think that my mother or anyone else could be treated in such a manner. Having previously worked in an ENT and Allergy clinic, I was trained to always treat every patient with respect and kindness. I was never disrespected when I needed to obtain a referral from my doctor; I simply informed the staff that I would call my doctor to have it entered into the system. However, one of the front desk staff raised her voice and demanded that I "sign this now," as if I were a child, while I was on the phone with my doctor. I hope this isn't how she interacts with all patients. In my experience working in clinics, it's crucial to communicate with patients in a respectful manner. The front desk staff are often the first point of contact, and politeness and respect should be core values in any clinic. On a positive note, I found the doctors and staff in the back to be very welcoming and respectful.

After a disappointing experience at another of their Astoria locations, I stumbled upon Dr. Levy…read more It was like a breath of fresh air. I felt a sense of calm and professionalism from the moment I stepped into her modern and clean office (a stark contrast to the other Astoria locations, which are dated and stuffy). Dr. Levy herself was a ray of sunshine. Attentive, patient, and thorough, she took the time to truly listen to my concerns and explain my condition in a way that was easy to understand, unlike the previous doctor who rushed through my appointment. Dr. Levy created a space where I felt comfortable asking questions and getting all the needed information. Her approach to treatment was collaborative, not dictatorial. She explained the various options available and discussed the pros and cons of each, making me feel like I was an active participant in my healthcare. Most importantly, she offered practical steps I could take to alleviate my symptoms right away, which was a welcome relief from the feeling of helplessness I had after the previous appointment. If you're looking for an ENT doctor who is as skilled and compassionate as she is, Dr. Levy is your answer. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend her to anyone needing an ENT specialist. I would've given five stars if it hadn't been for a mix-up with their appointment office. A mistake on their end delayed my follow-up by eight days. Ask for a text or email confirmation so the same doesn't happen to you.

The office is located inside of The Sanford Tower which was where my ex PCP's office so I am familiar with the area. I filled out paperwork as a New Patient. Usually when the medical assistant entered my info into their database...I expected to pay my copay! The medical assistant pointed out about my In-Network deductible. I am not paying a high deductible to see something so small as a nosebleed. We went back and forth then Dr Lin got involved. It's the medical assistant's job to call my insurance company to make sure of everything instead taking the easier step by checking online. I waited an hour then more in the examining room...the door is open so I could hear the conversations from next door which freaked me out haha When finally it's my turn, I explained to Dr Lin about having nosebleeds since last July. He sprayed something to clear my nose then stuck a nose telescope...damn it that made me tear a little. He informed me to not to blow my nose too hard and do not take hot showers. What a waste of my time and bullshit experience! I thought about it and f%$k I wasted 50 bucks.

After the incident, I was contacted by Jessica from the billing department and was told they would work with me due to what happened. Based on that conversation, I expected some level of consideration or follow-up. Instead, months went by with no resolution or communication. I then received notice that I am still expected to pay the bill in full, with no acknowledgment of what was previously discussed. The lack of follow-through and communication is frustrating and feels very dismissive, especially after I was led to believe the situation would be handled differently. It's unacceptable to tell a patient one thing and then, months later, take a completely different position without any explanation. Between the way I was treated in the office and how this billing issue was handled, this experience has been incredibly disappointing. Patients deserve transparency, respect, and consistency and unfortunately, that was not my experience here.
