I had been bringing my GoldWing here for years to have repairs done, new tires installed, and have oil changes performed. Recently, I attempted to make an appointment to have a new rear tire installed and was told that they would not change the tire because my GoldWing is older than 10-years. When I asked about this policy change and what did the age of my bike have to do with changing my tire, I was informed that they did not want to search eBay for parts on older bikes. This is ridiculous logic for a 12-year old, 50,000 mile GoldWing, where I can directly order OEM parts from Honda myself. After much arguing I was given a "one-time" approval by the service manager to have my tire replaced. I have been a loyal customer at this shop since I moved to Florida many years ago; however, their lack of logical customer service has caused this customer to never return. read more

Called and scheduled service through a maintenance plan for my waverunner. Drove to my appointment and they said my coverage via my maintenance plan expired 10 days earlier?!?! One of the worst dealerships ever that I have dealt with on any purchase. Bought gap insurance and paid ski off on June 22nd 2021 and requested refund for insurance as it was not needed. It is no January 5th 2022 and No one knows where my money is. Keep telling me they are doing g all they can. They make a phone call once a month and that is doing everything. You would think the dealership would want to make it right but nope. I would not go near this place with a 10 foot pole. Shady and dishonest. Plenty of other less shady places around. read more

LOL they wanted money from me without me leaving with a bike after spending hours doing paperwork. Why? "the showroom models need their battery charged for 24 hours" - because no one rides a showroom model home day of... right? So I walked out. But as I'm backing my car out "WAIT we found a battery for it!" ‍ Come on. Redeeming factors: -The initial sales rep (forgot your name sorry) was awesome. I really tried to like this place and gave this location the Benefit of the doubt on 4 different occasions in the past 3 years. I go here first because of the convenience of how close they are to me....but All 4 interactions from phone etiquette to face to face, the customer service just sucks all together. I purchased two 2019 jet-skis along with a trailer, a 2019 Honda 1000, 4 ATVs and a second trailer all elsewhere simply because of the there customer service. They've lost a lot of sales and a potentially great customer. read more

We went to this location to buy jet skis and a trailer. Maurice was the guy who tried to help us. His service was not the greatest and he acted like we were bothering him. He told us that they were the only place in central Florida that had jet skis. The service was so bad that we googled central Florida powersports and bought 2 skis and a double trailer. I bought 2 new skis here. Nick was very helpful, professional and went out of his way to help me get the jet skis I wanted. Nick's customer service made my purchase a pleasure. After the 10 hours we rode them we took them in for service. Ken was very polite, professional, and helpful. I highly recommend this place. I wish more places were as wonderful to deal with. Unfortunately the Honda dealership that was near this place closed its doors, so when it was time for an oil change on my motorcycle, I went to this place (Champions Yamaha - now called West Orlando Powersports). Where do I begin? The rude woman at the service department counter? The embarrassing rude announcement made over the dealership's public address system? or The ridiculously high prices??? I went to West Orlando Powersports when the nearby Honda dealer closed. This place had been a Yamaha dealer, but it now has a new name and the Honda sign; so I thought the old dealer simply took over the Yamaha dealership (since it is physically larger). Unlike the great service I was used to at Honda, the lady behind the service counter was not friendly as she took my information. When I asked about some of the old staff, I learned that this dealership had taken the Honda name - but it was in no way connected with the old dealership. She went on to say things that I personally would consider slanderous comments. This prompted me to ask her about their pricing. Since it clearly was NOT connected with the old Southern Honda dealership, I asked if their prices were comparable (Southern Honda used to charge $58 for an oil change). She informed me that the oil change would be between $100-$110.00! I was shocked to say the least. She then suggested that the Honda employees were "giving things away" and that's probably why they went under (again, very inappropriate to make such comments and insinuations). I was floored by the price being almost twice what I was used to and started considering my options. She explained that their price for labor was $92/hour - and an oil change was at least a half-hour's labor. PLUS, she said I would need 4 quarts of oil at $7/quart, a new oil plug gasket at $11, and shop supplies. While she continued to check on the parts availability, someone (I assume the manager) made a dealership-wide announcement, during which he shouted that he wanted the ENTIRE sales team to meet him... and he then added "THAT INCLUDES YOU John Doe" (the name has been changed for privacy). That was the last straw for me because it clearly showed me that this dealership is totally unprofessional - therefore not worthy of my trust (or money). I checked Google for another motorcycle service center in the Orlando area. The first one that came up was a Yamaha dealer on East Colonial Drive. I called them and asked how much they charge to do an oil change on my specific bike. The man who answered the phone was friendly, polite, and told me it would be $55 - a few dollars cheaper than I was used to! Best of all, he could get me in that day. I will NEVER go back to Champions Yamaha (or West Orlando Powersports) because they are a rip off. They clearly overcharge, they are rude, and unprofessional. Best of all, the next day I saw my neighbor (who has several motorcycles) and I told him about my experience at that dealership. When I told him that the woman in the service department said that I would need 4 quarts of oil for my bike, he commented that my bike (because of its size) probably only takes 2-3 quarts max. I gave them 1 start, but I would have given them NO stars if it were possible. read more

Updated: February 18, 2017 I purchased a 2014 Kawasaki KLR 650 here. I loved that they lacked the typical high pressure sales tactics like your usual dealers. They aren't pushy and offer fair prices on new and used options. The management is very responsive if you see yourself needing quick assistance. read more

The mechanics at this shop are unreliable and dishonest. Took a bike in to diagnose an oil drip, turned out to just be an overflowing reservoir. With relief and excitement we were able to pickup the bike the next hour just as promised! Well, long story short, after nearly being killed pulling out of their driveway as the bike stalled we turned it right around and puttered it back to them to check it was put back together correctly. A week of headaches and hassles later after talking with several supervisors/managers and emailing the owner (which still only merited a call from who he forwarded the email to) to still be told none of this was their fault. They claim the air filter was disintegrating and now we must pay to have the carburetors cleaned (est. 6 hours). Since, their recommendations of possible future servicing included replacing the air filter it's not their fault. The only 'break' they were able to work with us was $9 off the $89/hour labor charge and were still quoted over $700 (under $200 for the parts) just to get the bike back into a working condition to be able to get back and forth from work again. I am not an expert, nor do I pretend to be... but it seems to me that any decent mechanic would know better than to put a disintegrating air filter back into a vehicle. If it needed to be replaced that bad that it was going to damage the bike to turn it on and take it .02 tenths of a mile down the road then we should have been told it needed replacing now. Not to mention, the bike had not had a maintenance hiccup in over 3 years; it was being drove over 50 miles to and from work on a daily basis. One day had noticed the left shoe looked a little shinier and wanted an honest professionals opinion to ensure damage was not being done by driving a bike with an oil drip. Please be careful and take caution when having your vehicle serviced here. read more

Let's start with the fact that I have purchased many times from them under the old Champion's name and the new Powersports name. I have also purchased from the Honda store they took over. I have never had an issue and always get a good deal. Josh is great and their new finance guy was also great to work with. I'm a little confused by the review below about the girl being rude in service and Honda service being great. The girl in question who is the only girl in service came from the Honda store so he was either never at the Honda store or just didn't recognize her. Jade is great. I've dealt with her at both stores and never had an issue. I'm sitting here thinking about my biggest complaint so it is not a one-sided review and I really don't have one. Keep up the good work. Purchased 6 quads from these folks. Started with 2 Hondas (rancher and recon) in 2013, 2 Can Am 1000s in 2015 and just recently upgraded the original 2 Hondas for 2 Honda Foreman 500 4x4s. eric was my sales guy and did an amazing job at working to get an amazing deal and truly saw the value of a repeat customer. Then finalized everything with the Doug and Nick (great team work) in finance. These gentlemen as class acts that negotiated a tough but very fair deal where they made a fair profit and I walked away feeling that the value of my repeat business was appreciated and respected. Next addition to the the fleet will likely be the Can Am Renegade 1000 and would not be surprised if it happens sooner than later, only because I know these guys are looking out for my best interest and sincerely going above and beyond to keep winning my loyalty. Also, now that they sell boats too, definitely going to give them a serious chance at having my marine business as well. Now only if the car dealers that I work with could take a lesson from these guys, all of my motoring needs would be set. read more

Do not buy from these people. Do not fall for their warranty claims. I was flat out lied to about the price of a warranty. Literally LIED to. Once I bought my bike it was impossible to get a hold of anybody in sales afterwards. read more
