Terrible quality service with no integrity or honesty. They do poor quality work, do not stand behind their lifetime warranty, don't value your time, and give you the runaround. Julio to be specific. I had trouble with the brakes on my vehicle after driving from home to Florida while on vacation with my family. Normally I would do my own brakes as it is a very easy job if you have a little mechanical ability. I shopped around and decided to go with Tuffy because of their well advertised lifetime repair warranties. I was told by Julio that I had 8 items that needed repaired or replaced-typical gouging that are common for repair shops. Having grown up on a farm and knowing my way around vehicles, I only had the rear brake pads, rotors, one caliper, and one rear axle seal replaced-all parts they purchased across the street at AutoZone for about $100.00. My family and I were stranded at the place we were staying with no transportation while waiting for it to be repaired. It took a day longer than he said it would. When they finally finished and drove up to drop it off, I could smell something burning. The rotor they just replaced was glowing red hot! They drove it back to their shop and I had to wait another 2 days before it was repaired properly. After everything was finally completed including a brake fluid flush, the total bill was over $1,140.00! Since that time the brake pads, rotors, and caliper have failed twice and the rear axle seal they replaced is leaking again! When I called to get it repaired under their lifetime warranty both times, I was given the run around and excuses by Julio. He said I had to call their corporate office but when I did so, I was told no, that is handled directly by the repair shop. I called Julio back and he reluctantly agreed to only replace some of the parts at no charge, once again giving me excuses and wasting more of my time. This is despite not having to cover the labor because there isn't a Tuffy Shop in my area. I highly recommend you take your business elsewhere if you want honest quality service on your vehicle. Great customer service! Very friendly team. They were able to recommend a solution to our issues that saved us over a $1000. That goes to be being trustworthy, and it also shows technical knowledge. There was an issue after service, but they took care of it with no charge and quickly. After repairing the power steering, the steering wheel was out of alignment. They performed the alignment with no charge. We will definately be back for all of our needs. read more

AVOID THIS PLACE AT ALL COST. IRRESPONSIBLE AND DISHONEST! Pep boys had a two hour wait so I called here which was $8 more for a tire patch but could take me right away. So I came here. $40 for a tire patch, it was clear that I wanted a patch and not a plug. I thought it had it taken enough time to do a patch, nor were there marks on the tire to keep the balance of the tire. I got home and looked, A DAMN PLUG! this place charged me for a patch and put A PLUG. THAT COULD HAVE BEEN MY WIFE GOING DOWN THE HIGHWAY WHEN THAT PLUG FLEW OUT AND TIRE GO FLAT. A friend recommended us to your shop because of multiple interactions with Carlos. He said he "trusted" him. That was not a term I used with my many interactions with Dealers in Clermont and Davenport. We had some work done totaling over $2400. Carlos was appropriate his assessments, and what could possibly wait a bit of time and what needed to be completed immediately. We felt it was fair, and decided to have all the work completed. A few weeks later, the car suddenly seized in the street with our son in the back seat. Got a tow to your shop and diagnosis was done. Bad news. Really bad news. We were given options and needed a day to think about and weigh them. Partially through the repairs, a way was discovered to remedy the situation while saving quite a bit of money. Carlos again to the rescue. with the assistance of Julio, the manager, the car was fixed, and some parts returned with minimal return fees. We cannot thank the professionalism and respect shown by everyone in this shop. First, let me state that my car is in great condition. I came here for a synthetic oil change, air cabin filter change. They rushed the job and forgot to tighten the top until it clicked. Oil was popping up on my rubber hood causing my A/C to smell like burn and gas. Also caused it to leak near the front passenger side. Alex was very nice at the front desk. However, not sure who it was that worked on my car, clearly didn't execute to the fullest extent the first time. I did come back and they were able to clean it up and fix the issue. Not sure how this may effect my engine in the long run though. I made sure that I had everything in writing before I left. Gotta be assertive with folk when they don't get a simple oil change done correctly the first time! Incompetence. Wouldn't come back, the trust it gone. read more

I brought my jeep in for a new battery and they not only damaged the inside of my car but denied responsibility. They only needed to run tests on the batteries, yet there are pictures of one of their employees inside my truck. The manager refused to cover the damage. They offered a fair deal to a man who came in for a battery change, but because I'm a woman, they overcharged me for a battery they bought at AutoZone across the street, asking for $400 for an aux battery! They even tried to tell me that I also need a tune up when I just had one done less than a month ago! They will try and charge you to replace items on your vehicle that you don't need. ( Seriously.. I called another place just up the road and there was an hour wait. I called Tuffy and they said, "We're waiting for you!" So I went right over. I wish I could remember his name, but the guy in the office was very personable. He chatted with me the whole time. One of the guys felt like they should put my car on the lift. Just a hunch. Good thing he did. They asked me to come and look at it. My car isn't even 2 years old, but all 4 of my tires were toast! I expect these places to try and sell me things I don't need. But this one was obvious. I needed 4 tires. They gave me 3 options. They didn't try and push the higher packages on me at all. Plus, they give you a Disney Cast discount on services. Julio saved our family vacation. We are in Florida for a few weeks and were near the end of a 3 1/2 hour drive to Orlando for the Syracuse football bowl game when our car started having serious issues. With all the repair shops closing up on a Friday night, with nowhere to go and no way to get there, we were in trouble. Tuffy's was also closing down and we were investigating other options when Julio came out of nowhere and saved the day. He was determined to find a solution for us - he even was ready to have his wife bring their larger car to the shop so he could drive us to the airport car rental! Yes they know how to change oil. Yes they know how to change a tire, unknown if they know how to rotate beyond making it spin round and round... Yes they how to change an air filter, but don't know the difference between clean filter and a squirrels nest.... My hommie and I went To Tuffy's to have our cars get an oil change and safety check. Well.... Well... They changed the oil, busted the oil plug on my friends car and I had to watch them do a safety inspection. I never saw my directionals come on. Had to say something to get the front end checked. This place is run by a bunch of girl scouts and they are not selling cookies... Look elsewhere. Needed plenty of maintenance and did not find any of what was suggested to be unnecessary- regular 4 year needs such as spark plugs, brake pads, tires, etc.... also had an outstanding issue with the condenser that another shop failed to properly fix- these dudes went above and beyond to ensure this would be prevented in the future, and even showed me their work to ensure this!!! I was surprised by what Tiffany wrote on her review, however some people are just bitter in general and expect the work to be done for free when in fact he saved you $ by sending you back to the dealer to get it service and not take your $$$. And when you are paying the charge you extra $20 for rags and windex etc plus the charge you the tax that by the phone they told you is was in the job, I'm sad it look like a nice place but like the guy in the desk they are used to that, That is so sad they are use too people getting mad at there over charging them, this is the first time and the last time I'm going to that place again, they are better places and with better attention 5 minutes away.
