When we're done they gave me an estimate based on my needs and when I decided to only some of the work they did NOT pressure to do anymore. When I went back a little while late to pick the car up the manager Eric came in from the shop and told the associate handling me .. Rich I think.. to not forget my military discount. He saw my DAV tag. Got an extra 10% off without asking or promoting. They were all great and will have no problem going back to complete the rest of the work. On November 29, 2025, I took advantage of a Black Friday deal offered by Pep Boys: buy two Cooper Tires, get two free. On the same day, I scheduled an appointment for the installation of the four tires at Pep Boys store #1054 for 10:00 AM on December 5, 2025. After waiting an hour, I was apologized to for the delay and assured that I would be next. However, after another hour, my vehicle was finally on the lift with the rims and tires removed, only to be informed, "Sorry, we don't have your tires in stock." I was then offered the option to purchase other tires at an additional cost (which felt like a bait-and-switch). I understand that issues can arise, especially during a sale. However, part of good customer service should involve checking inventory before making a customer wait two hours past a scheduled appointment, only to inform them after their old tires have been removed from the vehicle. While at store 1054, I called Pep Boys customer service. I was told my case would be forwarded to a district manager, who would call me back, and was advised to "please monitor my calls." A day later, I am still waiting for that district manager to contact me. What has happened to basic customer service? If it weren't for the customer, businesses would not exist. The customer keeps your doors open, Pep Boys! I received a call at 5:15 PM on December 5, 2025, from Pep Boys Store 1054, notifying me that my tires have arrived and that I can schedule another appointment for installation. Now, I'm questioning whether I can trust Pep Boys for this installation. Can I trust that my life and my family's safety will be protected after Pep Boys works on my vehicle? read more

My girlfriend called to get a quote for a clutch replacement and they quoted $200-500 considering the parts have already been purchased so we had the vehicle towed to the property for an appointment just to find out the quote was wrong and it be approximately $1400. She called 3 times and every single time they quoted $200-$500. I understand the quote was very low but it's very frustrating when three different employees quote the same price on three separate phone calls only to get told a price 2 to 3 times that amount. Awful, awful customer service. Got four new tires replaced in June. Kept having the tire sensor come on. Took it back, but because the tire sensor wasn't on when I pulled up, they said they couldn't do anything about it. Took it to my dealer and they found a nail in the tire. Simply needed to check on a low tire for Honda Civic. Check tire pressure light was on. Looked low. Made an appoint easily on line. They got the car in very quickly. The service person named Azi was very helpful. He brought me out to show me the condition of all the tires while the car was up on the rack. Showed me the wear on the back tires and made suggestion to change tires within the next four months. No puncture in the tire we thought was low. He checked The tire sensors. Also did an inspection of the rest of the basic functions of the car. Because there was no repair, there was no charge. Received the report within an hour of leaving the garage. Person at front desk was cordial and efficient. We will go back when it comes time to change the tires out. read more

Scheduled an electrical diagnostic to see why the dashboard is not turning on. Not only did they not figure out what is wrong with it, they advised me to take my vehicle to the dealership itself and then charged me full price for doing nothing to my vehicle. They claim their technicians have to be paid, I had no idea my $70 job would provide commission for an hourly worker!!! So not only do they lie directly to my face, they provide terrible service while charging full price. Will not be recommending or bringing any other vehicles to this location. I placed an online order for tires and scheduled an appointment, but when I arrived, to pay the salesperson tried to overcharge me despite showing proof of my online order and claimed that my order wasn't in the system. The salesperson refused to contact a manager, leaving me no choice but to call the police to address the issue because he would not release my car until I paid the higher price. Once the police arrived the salesperson tried to cancel my order that he claimed he could not find. This level of dishonesty and lack of customer service is unacceptable. I should write this review with 1 star after what I learned in my visit to pepboys for the 6 time, but since the new team there now did me right I am giving the a 5 star rating. I have been going to the clermont store for over a year now with all my cars and turned out that the team that was there before never did my tire rotations. I change my oil twice since i bought my tires at pepboys and there was no way that tires that should of lasted me for 80k miles would of worn down in 6 months. That is when the new team discovered the tires were never rotated. To make it all right they gave me my tires new for a really good deal since I had the insurance. Sad to know you take your car to get fixed and you trust the work gets done and now you have double check someone's work who basically has your life in their hands because if they don't fix the issue an accident can happen with your car. read more

I bought a car battery for over $200.00. The warranty for 48 months is printed on the battery. When it failed in the warranty period and returned it, we were told the warranty calendar started all over again. That battery failed 13 months later. When I took it back to the store, I was told the store policy is to only honor 48 month warranty ONCE. If someone sells substandard batteries that don't last the 48 month period and only has to replace them with the same battery once, they have ethic's that assure I will not buy any of their products or service again. read more

1/5 stars because I am not a tire expert. They are, but something felt a little off about the way I was treated today. The gentleman helping me was quick to say I needed a new tire. This is where I explain my lack of expertise. It was about 1/8" thick shank , maybe 3/16", stuck in my tire tread. It was seemingly located far enough from the sidewall that a patch or plug would work. But with little explanation from them and little knowledge of tires I went with what Pep Boys recommended, a brand new tire. I've pointed to the location of the shank in the attached photo, this area doesn't seem like the sidewall to me... Their customer service needs a lot of help as well. The gentlemen who helped me had a slight attitude about it all. Not just to me but to other customers in line as well. Maybe it was because it was Sunday or he was sick or having an off day but his attitude was off putting. I won't be returning to this location and don't recommend it to others either. read more

This place has bad customer service. I had an appointment with them and was told that my car would not be worked on for another hour. There is a reason we the customer set appointments to get in and out as fast as possible. Secondly, I asked the store sales person to rotate my tires because I am a rewards member and they offer this FREE service. He said that he will not do it because my tires are evenly wearing and practically brand new. Even if my tires were brand new and I've driven a decent amount of miles on them, it's a service that you guys provide for FREE! I even called customer service and they said that this is unheard of. They should have not declined this service to me and they can't do anything about it over the phone. This tells me that this place has no customer service or poorly training their sales rep. Bought tires online and had them installed here. Fast service and got the job done adequately. I wasn't really impressed by anything here but I'm happy that they didn't approach me with more services I "should have done" like what happens at every auto repair shop. The waiting area isn't particularly nice but what do you really expect from an auto-repair shop / store. The selection of products for cars is good if not overwhelming at times, and there could be more staff there to help you sort out which products are good, but overall I had a good experience. read more

Book an appointment for 10 am and did not get out of there until 1 pm. I asked for an oil change and tire rotation. They called me and said my car did not have an air filter. Funny because they replaced it on my last service. Had to wait because they had to get the air filter from O'Reillys. Once it arrived it was another 30 minutes. Came out to be $148 after my coupon. Told them that didn't sound right and they redid it and it was $128. Did not reset the maintenance required indicator or put a new sticker. Buyers beware! read more
