Barbara was absolutely wonderful to work with! She made purchasing my Lexus completely hassle-free. She was respectful, attentive, and genuinely listened to what I wanted throughout the entire process. She went above and beyond to make the experience special, even adding that extra personal touch of putting the bow on my new car. You can tell she truly cares about her customers and takes pride in what she does. I highly recommend Barbara to anyone looking for a professional, thoughtful, and enjoyable car-buying experience. Overpriced, as you might expect from a dealership -- nearly 3x the price of a regular shop. We didn't want to spend time shopping around, and since the vehicle was already there, we decided it would be easier to move forward. Unfortunately, the customer service was extremely inefficient. They called four separate times to request the same information I had already provided. I spoke with Tommy, Robert, Stephanie (who seemed completely lost), and finally Mark, who at least communicated well. At pickup, no one met with us to explain anything about the $8,000 service, the warranty, or the work performed. They didn't even bother to bring the truck to us -- someone simply pointed us toward the cashier, and we then had to wander around their huge parking lot to find our vehicle ourselves. Absolutely ridiculous. To make matters worse, after I completed the survey and gave 3 stars, no one even bothered to call. Robert A. only responded through a message. So here is my response to your overpriced and poor service: Avoid Don Mealey. read more

I have to say this was the worst experience I have ever had. I purchase a trail boss truck from the dealership brand new. I noticed a few things that need taken care of. I decided to let them know when I got my first oil change. I made an appointment to get the oil changed and get the front window strip tinted. The sun shield a six inch strip across the top. When I got there I let them know there were a few other problems They said that would have to be done at the body shop and it may take some time but they would let me know I said fine. I was expecting to leave it. They said they would let me know what was going on. Two days pass and still no call so I called to find out my guy or anyone that knows what's going on is not there that day So day three I have to call out of work because I don't have a ride to work. Call again. They said they have to wait for Gm for the body work. Ok. I need a vehicle and they do t have one for me to use so I can pick up my truck until they hear from Gm. I got to pick it up and the oil has not been changed or the tint hasn't been done. They asked to leave it another day?!?!? I said you told me you don't have a car for me so no I can't leave it. Somehow they found a car to let me use. So day four I get a call they it is ready and the strip will be $100. So not only did I loose a days pay I also had to pay for the strip. I'll wait to get the Gm ok for the body work. But I'm not so sure I'll be back for anything else. I can get my oil changed and tires rotated other places. read more

On September 7, 2025 I bought a used car from them, thinking it was in perfect condition as there was no disclosure of the plethora of problems it had, I first got suspicious when they had us sign a "buying as is" paper. A week after I bring it home, the air condition completely stops working, meaning they filled it up with Freon right before we arrived to make it seem like the ac was working. DO NOT buy from these people, they are scammers. Additionally, the car was listed at 24,000, but the amount of fees they put on it moved it up to 29,800, which is ridiculous and was very stern on the price until the sales manager came up to us to give the price we wanted, which was only $300 cheaper than what the lowest the salesman would give us. This place needs to be shut down it's embarrassing to the brand. read more

We've had service work here on a few times, unfortunately. The price to replace the front window the first time was much higher than the subsequent window replacement, which felt like they had price-gouged us. Really regret bringing the car back here for another issue. Trying to charge us separate diagnostic fees ($225 EACH) for the event which just happened. He tried to say the systems were all unrelated. Rude service-salesperson when we questioned his logic. read more

Price gouging is even worse. Especially for service. I'll be going elsewhere from now on read more

Everything could improve! They wasted my time and gave me the middle finger when I went to them trying to get a car. They had the nerve to demand I pay $4000 up front into their pockets and got an attitude with me when I confronted them on it. If you are a hard working American do not go to this dealership. They don't want your business. read more

Best dealer in Florida. Sales man Alex is very good knowledgeable on the product and no pressure. I tried 3 others, walked out. I was about to give up and found them on a Sunday. I bought a trailblazer. read more

If I could give below 1 I would. The place has the worst customer service I've ever experienced from sales, to there service team, to even there harassing Bdc team. If you want better care, and diligence of your truck/Car I'd recommend anywhere other than this place. Nasty attitudes, and no solution to any of the problems they create. read more

This is the best result I ever received from any dealership. We're on vacation and our Chevy Trax broke down. We're towed it with our RV to Mealey Chevrolet and they went out of their way to help us. Robert, our service rep, was so very helpful and understanding. I can't tell you how great the was to fix our vehicle by the very next day. Terrific all the way. read more

Grant was really great, he laid out my deal with thought and accuracy . He was courteous and very Knowledgeable. Grant also took his time in explaining and showing all the car features once the sale was finalized. Grant, I consider is a major asset to Don Mealey Car Dealership in Clermont. Above was my review back in May 2024 and I gave Don Mealey a 4 star review. I had purchased a brand new 2024 Corvette C2 and 2 weeks later I purchased in a all cash acquisition, a used 2018 Equinox with 49,000 miles on it. Wow what a year does to my opinion of Don Mealey, 3 weeks ago my transmission blew on my Vette, all covered under warranty, in shop for 2 weeks due to only one technician that knows how to repair it and apparently there were 2 other Vettes in front of me with the same issue. However my Equinox has had issues from automatic front driver window malfunction issues, rear window wiper malfunction malfunction and tire sensor issues. Took the Equinox to fix issues back in December of 2024, only the rear wipers were completely fixed, the others remained unrepaired. Today I went in for oil change for my Equinox and mentioned that the tire sensor still lit up on the dashboard. Rachel told me it would be $198 to repair, I was not happy that it was not covered so she directed me to John Fletcher, Operations Manager, what a stressful time that was. He basically told me that the car is not under warranty and that they fixed it once back in December for free but this time it will cost me. He was the rudest guy I ever met and not only condescending but also unqualified to lead a service dept. The big issue is that I do not drive either car that much, Vette has 3500 miles (0 when purchased) on it and the Equinox has 51,400 on it (49,000 when purchased) totally of 5500 between 2 cars within 1 year. Vette could end up being a lemon and the Equinox I got ripped off on due to poor maintenance evaluation prior to my cash purchase. I was visibly upset and was able to speak with GM, Whit Gilman, after the Fletcher debacle , however I was still not satisfied. Whit did offer to take care of the tire sensor but asked me to make an appointment even though the part was on site, so why not just repair it then? I believe the sales team, maybe not all, have a desire to sell vehicles at any cost and then the service department takes no responsibility when issues arise, they blame it on the manufacturer or customer which Fletcher tried to persuade to me was the case in the Vette issue, I had none of that, he thinks he's the smartest guy in the room and we are all idiots. Finally Fletchers lack of empathy is beyond words. I plan on trading in the Equinox and reviewing my rights on the Lemon Law regarding the Vette. Not that they care but be assured I will not be near a Don Mealey dealership ever again unless I have to turn in the Vette there. read more

I had a good experience buying a vehicle here, but try to return for service and the service department desk agents never seem to want to schedule an appointment. The customer service agents always seem to have a negative attitude and treat me like I'm bothering them when I try to make an appointment for an oil change or tire rotation. This has happened multiple times, I will just start going elsewhere that appreciates my business in the future. read more

Recently, I was in the market purchase a new truck. Chevrolet won my business with helpful, attentive sales people who were not pushy or sleazy. They do not offer one price online and different prices in the dealership. We worked with Josh T who made the process a breeze and continues to offer his assistance, even after the sale. We were even impressed with Joe in finance who also went above and beyond to make our experience excellent. We did have a little issue with our vehicle once we drove off the lot, but the dealership was quick to correct the issue and make it right. We had the opportunity to work with Barry in the service department who also provided excellent service and knowledge. I would buy from the dealership again read more

Check in was easy. Checked our vehicle out because it needed a certain service. Later came back and said they tried a new part and didn't work. Put the old part in. Did't charge us. Was told to come back it was going to be about 4 hours to investigate the problem. read more

Great buying experience! Straightforward and stress-free. Highly recommend for purchasing needs.

Absolutely unacceptable experience at Don Mealey Chevrolet -- again. I dropped my car off FOUR DAYS ago for a straightforward list of services: an oil change, replacement of all tire pressure sensors, a tail light, and the center display screen. I scheduled this 1.5 weeks in advance and made it very clear that I needed the vehicle back before leaving town. Several days into the process, I was informed that the center console was backordered 1-2 weeks -- something that should've been checked or communicated before the car was dropped off. But the real kicker? After four days without my vehicle, nothing has been done. The car has been sitting untouched in the lot. No urgency. No accountability. And definitely no courtesy -- not even the offer of a loaner vehicle. When I asked, I was told none were available and I could be "put on a list" for Monday. A list? For a car I need now due to their delay? This is far from my first frustrating experience here, but it will be my last. The level of disorganization, poor communication, and utter lack of customer care is beyond disappointing. Avoid this dealership unless you're okay with being ignored, inconvenienced, and stranded. read more

I bought my car on 8/16/2025 and had the pleasure of working with Mathew Andrade. He's an excellent salesman--very professional, kind, and easy to work with. I recommend asking for him if you're looking to purchase a car. On the finance side, I had to switch the car from my business name to my personal name, and both the sales manager and finance department made the process smooth. Even when I pushed hard on my interest rate and monthly payment, they stayed patient, professional, and willing to work with me. Great overall experience! read more

Bait and switch lives here at Don Mealey. Had a few texts with Martin there and was told they had the vehicle I wanted in transit. So I went there to make a deal. Martin and I spent time discussing my deal checked my ID and Car Max offer for my trade in. I spent 15 minutes waiting then Martin came back and said my car was already purchased and asked if I wanted any other color. I said no and walked. All they did is waste my time after saying several times they had my car. read more

I don't understand why you have an appointment and after two days they still haven't looked at my vehicle. Very disappointing. I just don't understand. I have an update after my vehicle has been there for four days. They said it could take a couple of weeks to repair a transmission. Absolutely terrible service every time I have been there. I asked if I could pick up my vehicle and drop it off when they are actually ready to repair it and he said no and that I would lose my place. Found the vehicle I was looking online through Autotrader. I submitted a contact inquiry and got in touch with Michael Swob. I do all my vehicle purchases online and get disregarded or ignored quite often because I don't like to waste time going in person since I usually search outside the area where I live. In this case, Don Mealey was only 4 hours from me. Once I got in touch with Michael and explained the situation and what I wanted, he started working on my deal right away. Within same day, we were able to come to a deal and I picked up the vehicle that same Friday. My experience with Don Mealey Chevrolet was truly amazing thanks to Michael Swob and Eric McBride in finance. The day I picked up the car, the paperwork was ready to go and I was out in just under an hour. This has been one of the best buying experiences by far and I will definitely return in the future as a customer. I hope this level of service continues for the years to come at this dealership. read more

I had contacted the dealership and made an appointment for last Saturday. Eric was expecting me and met me as soon as I entered the showroom. He had the Tahoe pulled up undercover for my inspection and to verify that it met my transport needs. This was not the exact vehicle I was interested in as was hoping to purchase one in transit if this met my needs. The in transit vehicle was reserved by the time I made it down there so looked at others that had the specific options I required. He found a perfect match, only in a different color, which was fine. The paperwork was fast, and efficient. Delivery is Tuesday to my home. Great experience. Eric was very knowledgable about all the trims and made this a very easy, stressless purchase. read more

Had a great experience purchasing our 2022 Equinox. John Landskroener , our Sales Rep guided us quickly with the purchase and delivery. Very disappointed. I made an appointment for 9 am. Waited for a response until 11 am. I had someone pick me up and waited until 12 pm and called. I was asked to wait until 1 pm. At 2 pm, I called and was told again to wait because it was a "process" and there were other cars there before. If you could not check my car at 9 am, why would you have me with a rental? When I asked the service guy that I had called, he just argued with me about how it's a process and I needed to be patient. Totally oblivious of my time. I know missed work and don't have a way to pick up my kids from daycare. This unacceptable and the worst customer service ever. I do not recommend and will not be back here. read more

I had a great experience with the service supervisor/Manager Steve. I came in with no appointment. My engine light came on out of the blue then my truck would not pick up speed. As I'm explaining to one of the service workers Christine about my issue she kindly told me that would not be able to work on my vehicle today and that I could leave it with them and they'd look at it tomorrow. But I had no way to get home. Steve overheard the conversation and said he'd see what they could do. It maybe a small repair. Even if I don't get my car fixed or back today I just want to thank him for going that extra mile to help me. So I'm giving them 5stars because he did not have to do that for me. Thanks again Steve. read more
