First time in a long time getting my nails done and I was not DISAPPOINTED! Shape and length of my nails are on point! Nice thin chic nails, super happy with how they turned out, thank you Ana! The designs were done by Phuong, thank you girl! Total came to 60 for a first timer like me (well worth it) and I'll be sure to come back for more cool nails!
This place does awesome design work but if the nails don't stay on how am I supposed 2 show it off?! I just posted a pic of my nails, I left the shop about 1 pm yesterday went got my hair done and then went home to bed woke up and about 8 am & my nails started popping off there is nothing that I have done to make them pop off. I only have 4 nails still in tact and all of them have lifted. I will be giving the shop a call on Monday and I hope they give me a refund.
I've been getting my nails done at Champion Salon for the last 9 months or so upon the recommendation of a family member. The creativity and quality nail art offered at Champion Salon is so unparalleled (by any other salon in the bay) that I actually drive from the South Bay to get my nails done here! That said, I'm going to give some honest and detailed tips to navigating the salon I've come to know and love over the last few months. 1. Appointments: Do yourself and everyone else a favor and make one... and be on time! Champion Salon has a LOYAL following and tends to be busy, particularly on weekends. If its your first time, try coming on a weekday morning when its slower and you can get individual attention. 2. Payment: Bring cash, they don't take cards-- and I don't blame them. I pay hundreds of dollars a month to credit card processors to accept cards at my business and wish I didn't have to! 3. Parking: It's on E. 14th Street and there isn't a parking lot, but without fail, I always get a spot right in front. 4. Ambiance: The neighborhood is not fancy and neither is the shop but the family that runs Champion Salon OWNS their building and keeps their operating costs low so they don't have to charge you an arm and a leg for their Instagram worthy nail art! I appreciate the fact that at Champion Salon, my $ is being spent on the top quality nail polishes and Swarovski Crystals the salon uses on my nails rather than on some commercial property owner's fancy building. 5. Staff: Champion Salon is family owned and operated by a Mother and her 2 Daughters. The fact that they have been in business for over a decade and have excellent publicly available health records is a testament to their success. As a side note, I understand that beauty services are a very personal and everyone has their own unique preferences about how they like things done, but I must admit that I was outright shocked to see so many recent and outright disrespectful reviews about Champion Salon! While no location, nail tech, design, atmosphere etc. is a perfect fit for every customer, no business owner or employee should be subject to the verbal abuse being spewed in service providers on the spot rather than resorting to anonymous internet thugging and name calling after the fact. If you wouldn't say it to someones face don't write it on Yelp!
This lady does great designs. So fast and exact. . I showed her a pic of exactly what I wanted and she did my nails even better then the pic. I was so impressed. She knows her designs and nails. The price is not bad either totally recommend this shop.
I love phuong and have been going to her for years :) sometimes I have to cheat on her and go elsewhere due to my schedule but no one compares. I always get tons of compliments on my nails. Her mom is a boss at shaping nails!! Cash only!
After seeing dope ass nail designs on Yelp and on her instagram page just like everyone else, I decided to set up an appointment now that my mom's wedding is coming up. I had to google map the location even though I'm very familiar with the area and San Leandro in general. Not going to lie, I thought there would be a convenient parking lot and not just a few spaces where you park by the curb. It was full when I got there so I had to park around in the next block which bothers me because I'm a new driver and I suck at parking lmao. Anyway, I walked in the store and it was fairly decent looking. It was on a Thursday afternoon and they were busy. My appointment was at 5 and I came in before 5 but I didn't get seated u til 5:30ish which sucks because I hate slow ass services. I had to be passed around 3 times, one for the acrylics, shaping and the design. The acrylics person seemed irritated by me and was lightweight giving me attitude because of how I cant relax my fingers (if that makes sense) but it's whatevaa. She was also agressive and seemed like in a rush. The shaping person who I assumed to be the mother of the design person was nice and kept up a conversation. Now onto the design! I didn't get her name but she's also a conversationalist and has a great, spunky personality. She obviously knows what she's doing and is hella good at it too. My nails came out looking exactly how I wanted it to be! So far it hasn't been a day yet but my nails are still solid. Hopefully it'll continue til the wedding! Minus 1 star because of the lady giving me attitude, unconvenient parking and the long ass wait. Other than that I recommend this place!

Loved this place! I made a appointment; was seen right away and the girl was cool and did exactly what I wanted. The price was very reasonable.
This salon was recommended to me by my friend, and I decided to give it a shot and it was totally worth it! I went right at opening because it was Mother's Day weekend and I knew a bunch of people would probably be going (which they should, always treatyoself lol), and since even though I was just a walkin, I was only the second one there so I was helped right away! I was feeling inspired by the new Cinderella movie, and the nails I ended up with were beyond satisfactory (: I can't wait to go back!

Coming from someone who's gotten her nails done all the time since the 7th grade, I can honestly say this by far was the best salon I've came to when it comes to design and price! The ladies who work here are also very friendly. I showed Phuong what designs I wanted from pictures I saw online, and she nailed them completely! She's so talented! I'm really glad I chose to come along with my friend and get my nails done here. I will definitely be making this place my usual nail spot! :)
I love this place!! Brenda and Uyen are the best and their mom is so sweet they always remember me even though I don't come in as often I as I should. I live in Stockton and if I'm not in town I will wait just to have my nails done here!! They so so many good designs it's hard to pick
Ok I went to Champions on 3/11 and I fell in love with these very talented sister's designs. I love how they think outside of the box and come up with these wonderful and fresh designs. If you're a very basic kind of person that only likes French tips then Champions may not be ur flavor (although they do some awesome French tips as well not going to knock them there) but I say it's like if you were to go to Mortons steak house where they specialize in these juicy and succulent steaks only to order a plain old Hamburger. That's absurd and down right Ludacris!! When you go out somewhere like Morton's you go there to get their specialties and to try something different; If you go as far as going to do business with the wonderful nail technicians at Champions u may as well let them pimp ya nails out and give u a burst of newness and something fresh!! I have to say not only are the designs and pricing just right but the atmosphere there is awesome as well. They are really personable there and u feel like it chit chatting with one of Ur friends. All in all I can say I have found my new shop to go to which is why I am all set for my nail appointment today!!!
1st time here: I love the service and family feel setting, everyone just working together and make you feel comfortable and it was fun! Love my new nails and the hard work from both talented girls, Phoung and Uyen also everyone there. I will be coming back for the crazy awesomeness nail designs! Thanks Champion Salon! I love Phoung. I've been coming here for years. Sometimes i go elsewhere because of where i live and work but no one will ever compare. She always slays my nails and i always leave happy. I always get compliments on the length and color. Best nail shop in San Leandro read more

Love my nails and my experience!! I was in the area waiting for my computer to get fixed and decided to get my nails done. I chose this place because of the designs from the photos. I was extremely pleased with the outcome. Phuong and her mom were so sweet and fun throughout the whole time I was there. I don't think I ever laughed so much at a nail salon and my nails turned out amazing!! This combination is rare! I plan on coming back again :) read more

Today was my first time coming here and I was honestly blown away. Phuong convinced me on getting gel for the first time and I'm hooked! they have a great amount of color choices & amazing finish job. Also, Phuong really made you feel comfortable, especially that when I go to other nail places it's really quiet and boring (at least for myself). She helped me pick a new go-to spot with out even trying to. Definitely coming back here with no doubt. Don't hesitate on coming in here! They truly do amazing work here. read more

Champion Salon is the CHAMPION of nail art and designs. A friend of mine and I had been planning to visit this salon for months after seeing one of our co-workers nails. We went this week on a walk in and had somehow pictured an ultra luxe, glamourous nail spa. Instead, my friend and I walked past it twice unsure if we had the correct address. It is a moderate size salon where they do both hair and nails. It is furnished very humble and modest no extra glitz or decor. Once we walked in and checked out their look book we instantly knew we were in the right place. Pros: The customer service was good. Nice accessible location for all Bay Areaans. Fun designs and quick in and out time. Cons: They forgot to apply topcoat to my nails so they look super dull and old rather then new and fresh. Without the topcoat the thinner they put in the polish is easily revealed. I had to apply my own topcoat after a $41 service. NO BUENO. The atmosphere, decor, and ambiance can be improved. Designs make me want to go back but the acrylic set and paint job was mediocre. read more

RULES AND REGULATIONS YOU SHOULD BE AWARE OF! 1) The common: refuse the right of service to anyone. 2) They're not liable of your children getting hurt so keep them near. 3) Do not pick up polishes if not called upon. 4) Do not try on polishes on yourself or else you will be charged. This was my first time here since I came here for the convenience of Christmas shopping. I walked in for a gel fill and a broken nail along with a design & matte over coat which equaled $43. To my surprise according to the ratings, reviews, and beautiful designs, & the fact that it was a Friday there was only one person getting her nails done with 2 women working. The first nail tech quickly did my fill, and the second nail tech who is nearly my age (early 20's) shaped and designed them. Both of them were fairly nice and the younger one is very talkative, which I like because most nail tech's rarely ever speak to their customers and vice versa. It made the entire process go by smoothly and quickly, before I knew it, she was done. She is very fast too and I like fast paced working styles. Don't be fooled, just because she works fast doesn't mean she's not efficient. Thus my first visit was a success and I got the nails I wanted, exactly the way I pictured it. I definitely recommend this salon as well as do look forward in revisiting in the future. read more

My go to spot for acrylics, especially when I want deigns on them. I would advise you to spend a little extra and get the gel finishing polish they offer as well, very well worth it- it makes your polish/acrylics stay on so much longer. I've had mines for 3 weeks and other than my nails growing out, they still look perfect. I also got one of my nails super blinged out with the diamonds they have and NONE came off. I will never ever go anywhere else to get my nails done! Phuong and her mom are amazing! This is a family owned nail salon, that is by appointment only. Phuong keeps up with all the new trends and does exactly what you ask for. I love that she always tells me what colors look good/bad for my skin tone. I always leave so happy with my beautiful nails. After hearing such good reviews about this salon, I had to go see for myself. So far, I've only been once and I already LOVE LOVE LOVE everything about it. The two sisters that work there are so friendly and they do exactly what you ask for. They do all kinds of designs! Even if you don't know what you want (like myself) they'll come up with something cute and if you don't like it, they'll do it over. I would schedule an appointment ahead of time, but they accept walk-ins also. I dropped in on a Friday afternoon and they weren't too busy. I was so happy with my nails and I didn't spend more than $30! I'm definitely coming here from now on! read more

We currently do not offer fiberglass manicures. We do have crystal tips available which gives you the same effect, however it is a full set as opposed to a "manicure"
