The owners of this place could not have been nicer! It seemed to be a well run, clean, and safe place to store belongings. We came by one night and accidentally shut the door but did not actually lock the unit. We got a call the next day saying the unit was unsecured so we could come by and fix it. I appreciate that level of security and service. Sometimes there is a wait in the office since there's normally only one person, but again, were so friendly! I would come check this place out if you are looking for a storage unit in the area. read more

I signed a contract for a 10 X 10 storage unit on Feb 29, 2020. I paid upfront for March upon signing my contract and authorized automatic payments from my checking account. My contract says the next payment would be the agreed upon rate due on April 1st. On April 1st I noticed I was charged $34 more than my contracted rate. When I called management Ronnie (new property Mngr) stated that there was a new price increase!! This is unfair and frankly illegal as my contract states that tenant must be given 30 days notice before any changes in price. Is this a sudden COVID-19 price increase?? read more

We rented a climate storage unit in April for a short term use. The staff was very friendly. I felt the facility was safe and well run. We gave our notice on the 20th of June and moved out. I highly recommend using this facility. read more

I used a van rental from here and everything went smooth, return was easy through the app. Only downside was I reserved a dolly and really needed one but they don't supply them at this location. Also, I wasn't aware that I couldn't return the rental to a different location. When I reserved it, it let me choose a different drop off location. So that was very inconvenient and added unnecessary expenses. I wish all the information was more accurate. read more

We used Champion Forest Self Storage for all the stuff we moved from California and could not fit in our temporary apartment. No complaints, the storage locker was accessible, the price reasonable, the location convenient for us. You do have to supply your own lock (common) and they do not pro-rate, so even though we moved our stuff out by the middle of the month, we still had to pay the entire month (no biggie). Their notice policy is only 10 days though. I'd recommend them. read more

I wish I could give O stars!!!!!!!!!! My husband is an active duty service member currenltly overseas and away from his family. On May 9th I rented a 10x15 storage unit from Champion Forest Self Storage from the property manager RONNIE. The day I rented I was shown a unit on the first floor located by the front office. (Size 10x10) The unit I was shown was nice and clean and looked good. I told him that I was sure the 10x15 size would would work better for me to ensure I could get all of our things inside. He then took me upstairs to the second floor to unit 460 which was the size 10x15. When he arrived he opened the door stood there holding the door and proceeded to tell me that this is 10x15. I told him this was definitely the size I was looking for while standing in the hallway looking into the unit. He then went to say "Sorry for his appearance" (he was wearing a shirt and a pair of shorts which I never thought anything of.) He then said it was his day off and He was only trying to help his employee. I told him sorry I don't mean to keep you, and I completely understand. He closed the door we went back to the office and he explained the unit 460 would be my unit. I paid signed my paperwork and went ahead to leave as he stated it was his day off. My son and I began moving things into the storage a short while later. Only boxes, and a few open cube shelves, and two bar stools. We packed those things in and left the property. A couple of days go by and I return to the storage to bring a few more things. The moment we opened the storage I see 2 live roaches crawling on my white cube shelf. I immediately go down to the office as I'm walking down I see dead smushed roaches in the stairwell. (stairwell located near the office) I speak with the attendant (not the manager Ronnie) on duty and explain to him that there are bugs in my unit. He said he would come check it out, As Were walking to my unit I show him the dead bugs and things on the stairs. He sees them and acknowledges. He immediately goes to grab roach powder and roach bombs asking if I would like him to put it down. At this point I'm completed grossed out and feeling like this property knew that a big problem and took my money anyway to get the unit occupied. I tell him that I don't think this is okay and I need to move my stuff out of there. He insists on setting a bomb in there and told me to come back tomorrow so we could get things taken care of. He sets the bomb, and I come back the next day. As we're talking he shows me a new unit and tells me that we can switch to a new unit "away from the bug problem, and that they can bomb it etc to be sure the problem doesn't occur again. He says you would just need to come in tomorrow as the manager will be here at 9 in the morning to get it taken care of for you. This morning I go into the office looking to speak with the manager. When I walk in he is already rude and his demeanor is completely off. (This is the man that rented me the unit from the beginning) i explain who I am and why I am here. He then starts being rude and telling me what they aren't going to do, and trying to blame me saying I am the reason they have bugs. If you know me you know I've NEVER in life had bugs and I'm very OCD about my home. I asked him to come look at the situation multiple and he continued yelling and accusing me saying they won't move me so my things can infest the whole property. I then begin recording the entire situation as he continues to get hostile and tell me they would not move me. Another customer walks in and he try's to hush me and hurry them out of the door. The moment the my left he continued being rude and obnoxious, and slamming his hands on the desk. I immediately called my husband who is overseas so that he could hear as well. My husband was upset hearing how he was talking to me and asked what was going on. Ronnie continued to be rude, then smiled in the camera and waved at my husband to taunt him, as he continued to be rude to me in regard to the situation. My husband then hung up and sent 3 other service members to be with me to ensure I had someone by my side. I asked for his corporate office or someone above him multiple times and he refused to give me the information saying this is NoT how it works I need to follow chain of command. At this point the gentleman my husband called have shown up to the property and now he as completely changed his tone and trying to offer me a refund. Before they arrived he tried to offer me a free uhual to move my things out saying "I'm not happy here and they don't want me there" which is fine I don't want no damn roaches anyway. He stated that the accounting clerk Gayle would reach out to me for a refund because they have a new system. I left got a uhual from a different location and proceeded to move all of my things out. Once I was done he stated again that Gayle would take care of my refund. I have pics and videos of it all. read more

I absolutely love this storage facility! It is ALWAYS clean - I have been using it for 12 years and there is no dust even on the inside!! I have moved around Texas over these years and have never been able to find a facility that is as clean, contained, accessible, or as friendly as this one. I was very happy with Champion Forest Self Storage's quick sign up process. I was assisted by one of the managers who was very knowledgeable, thorough, and friendly. If you have a disc lock, bring it with you as it is required here as it is in most storage facilities. They have them available to purchase if you don't already have one. They run pretty good promotions so be sure to check their website for good deals. First floor units are easily accessible allowing you the opportunity to drive around the compound to the unit. Three elevators give you access to other floors. They feature 11 ft tall units which allows you to stack items higher than most other storage places I have used. Every unit has individual alarms for increased security beyond the controlled access gates and video monitoring. There is a wide array of packing supplies available to purchase and they can partner you with a moving company if help is needed. read more
