Just what I needed! After visiting my dentist nearby, I needed a place to grab a quick bite to eat. And after having passed this place on my way to the dentist, I knew I had to pay it a visit. It's a simple cafe/deli with a French name but with small cafe decor to match. The service is quick and efficient, for a lively and busy place (a lot of the medical staff come here from the nearby historial). They also offer a range of food - from focaccia sandwiches, paninis, to parfait. They also have quick and easy stuff you can grab and go!

My son and I have grown very fond of this little spot. We look forward to our turkey, Swiss on a croissant on Saturday mornings. My partner enjoyed their tiramisu mocha - which says apt since he isn't much of a coffee person. I also enjoy their chai latte and staff here are always pleasant and welcoming.

Quaint and cozy neighborhood spot that serves up decent coffee and assorted eats. Smoothies, pastries, bagels, soups, sandwiches, salads and such. Reasonable prices. At times after a run in Central Park I have a coffee and muffin while sitting at one if the sidewalk tables and watch the world go by. Very unassuming place in an area that's not too busy so it's kind of relaxing if you can get one of the sidewalk tables on a nice day.

Prices have become outrageous. I paid OVER $20 for the below meal. I used to really love this little cafe but their prices have seriously skyrocketed. I ordered an egg salad on a crossaint, some chips and a soda and it was $20 (!!!) and some change. When I asked for a receipt, it was not itemized but she did tell me the sandwich was $12, chips were nearly $4 and soda was nearly $2. Yikes. Beware the lack and inconsistency of price marking here. This is more expensive than going to Le Pain next door for a sit down meal. Service is generally not very polite or prompt at all. Takes a while to get acknowledged and the cashiers don't work with speed. I do like the guys who prepare the food. They're usually very nice. But for the price and poor service by the cashiers, I likely will not return.

Great time here before my grandsons graduation. I can't believe their great prices with everything else in the area. Delicious food, so fresh and the pastries and desserts are mouth watering. 5 stars!

Originally came for coffee but ended up trying a variety of their many offerings every day from there. Very good smoothies, bagels and pastries. Not so good chicken salad.

I ordered a cinnamon bagel with turkey bacon, egg whites and swiss and it was delicious. The bagel was about average size. One man was taking orders. He wasn't particularly warm but got the order right. During the COVID-19 crisis there were four small tables outside for eating.

Cute French bakery close to nearby hospital. Excellent place to grab something. The paninis are delicious- the fajita panini is a personal favorite. The salads are super fresh- I've only had the create your own salads! The cookies are DELICIOUS! So soft, so good. It's a small place but it works! Service can be quicker especially if you're in a rush/time schedule.

The place was pretty busy when I went in the morning. They have many outdoor tables so that was nice. The bagel was good but I wish they put more cream cheese. The coffee was really good ! Their menu is very affordable :) 6 dollar min cash. I got a garlic bagel with scallion cream cheese and a small hazelnut flavored iced coffee. Small coffee was still pretty decent size. All together it was about 6 dollars.

The RW menu was nice and well worth it, but as for me, I saw something else that I would rather have than the choices on the RW menu. I decided to go with the duck confit, but I did not read the menu thoroughly to see what side it came with. When it came out I saw it was with Flageolet bean Ragout which unfortunately I cannot eat, so I had to let Anna our server know. I was hoping she would keep the duck and just replace the side, but it looked like they made a completely new order, what service. My wife and son both ordered from RW menu and chose the boeuf bourgigninon which was so delicious, very tender beef and smooth mashed potatoes. We decided to also order escargot and French onion soup. Our service was just amazing from Anna our main server and the support servers who brought out our orders and to those who made sure our glasses were never empty. Of course the prefixe dessert was also delicious. Just super happy we learned that it was restaurant week and that we were able to experience it.

Oh, what a delight to stumble upon Marseille on a rainy day!…read more We stumbled into Marseille completely by chance. We were actually going to a different restaurant but the rain came down so hard, we needed to go somewhere closer. I want to come back and have a true meal here! (Apparently they do a discounted steak frites and that is my love language.) The staff very kindly accommodated us even thought we didn't have a reservation (we were only two). Everything in Marseille is done with a purpose. The waiters are all dressed in the same charming uniform. The cocktails are crafted with certain flavor profiles in mind. The menu is there to whisk you away to a little, remote village in France - except, you're on 9th Avenue in New York City and the street is littered with pushy walkers and....well, you get the drill. Anyway. Marseille begins the meal with the most excellent bread service. A fresh, hot sourdough roll is placed upon your table, along with herbed butter and oil. I could make a meal out of that bread alone. My cousin and I split the mushroom ravioli as an appetizer - a little salty, but excellent. The flavors were very well balanced and six was a good number for a dinner portion. We actually opted for the French onion soup as out main, and it was probably the best French onion soup we've ever had. There was also so much, we could not finish it. My Francais G&T was unbelievably good and came with a cornichon. Actually, shout out to our busser (I wish I got his name!) who accidentally took my drink-pickle away and had the waiter bring over more to make up for it. It was such a kind gesture and he deserves to be awarded for his attention to detail. (The wait staff overall was excellent. Kudos to the tall waiter with the snake ring and the shorter waitress with the great eyebrows. Again, I wish I got their names!) Oh, and as a bonus - they gave us some incredible truffles as a parting gift because we didn't stay for dessert. Like I said - the attention to detail here is on point! Overall, this is a fabulous spot. I would love to try brunch here!

The atmosphere is wonderfully comforting--dimly lit, warmly inviting, with nicely set tables that immediately make you want to settle in. The service was quiet and very competent. As a big fan of Lyonnaise salads, I had to try theirs, and it exceeded my expectations. The lardons were large and crispy, paired with wonderful brioche croutons and a perfectly poached egg. A classic done very well. And although it's not exactly French, their burger was superb. Served on an oversized grilled English muffin, it had a juicy patty topped with melted Gruyère. And the fries? As good as any you'll find in a bistro in Paris. A terrific discovery and exactly the kind of old-school restaurant that's getting harder and harder to find.

Nice dim lightly, excellent wait staff, and a pretty quick kitchen. All the appetizers my party had were delicious. Frog legs where a great standout, in addition to their scallops. We continued to dip their house made bread in their au gue throughout the night. Scallops were sizeable and prepared well. I also really enjoyed the oysters on the half shell. Quality oysters paired with a delicious onion and vinegar sauce. However there were two big let downs. The bathroom was a humid and hot mess. So uncomfortable to use in such heat. The other big let down was the French onion soup burger. What was supposed to be the star of the show was out shined heavily by its appetizers before hand. Did not like the English muffin as bread. Didn't have a French onion soup flavor, and was mostly flavorless in my experience outside the cheese and large amount of butter spread on the bread. Maybe it was just the day, however, at almost $40 dollars there is no reason to have an off day. All the appetizers were an easy 5 of 5. Burger was a 2 of 5. Overall despite a bad showing for the burger I will rate the experience overall a 3 instead of a 4 as there is no half star system.

I've been craving a soufflé, and I'm not an expert but I wish I hadn't poured all the sauce in as the mariner was fairly strong and almost overpowered the soufflé in flavor. The Crêpe Forestière for my entrée was lovely too, and I washed it all down with a lemonade. Everything was genuinely delicious. My one small gripe: I got charged for two lemonades, which stung a little given that (a) it's lemonade, and (b) the glass was on the petite side to begin with. Minor quibble, though. While the French Onion soup was still a stand-out dish, the painfully slow service detracted. There appeared to be a single waitress working. I didn't notice during my first visit if there were multiple servers, but the first time I did hear the waiter advise another table that the kitchen was behind and there would be a wait for food. (This didn't affect me since on my first visit I only ordered soup.) Same thing happened this time, and there was a significant delay between our soup/salad course and entrees. We were told the kitchen was backed up. this is apparently the norm. For appetizers, the French onion soup was a gold star dish. My friend had the goat cheese salad which she said was also very good. The Chicken Cordon Bleu was good, and a hard-to-find dish in NYC. While eating our entrees, the server never checked on how things were or if we needed anything. Once finished, we sat there for a long time waiting for our plates to be cleared, and finally had to "announce" that we were done and request our dessert (as we had ordered the prix fixe menu). For dessert we ordered the Dame Blanche and Profiteroles. I would recommend neither. The ice cream (in both) was poor quality, crystallized and not creamy. A real shame. In all, the meal too 2.5 hours due to the slow service. The soup remains fantastic. I'm downgrading my review to recommend this spot only for soup and salad and not a full, hours-long meal. For that, it's 5 stars, for a full meal a middling 3.
