I had been browsing online for a few weeks and found the best option from CarMax (sent from another state for a reasonable price). I chose CarMax because I heard a good review as CarMax for a company from someone else. I found a car I was looking for which was 1) an older model 2) less mileage 3) a price I could afford 4) given a decent price to trade in for my then current car. I still love my new car now!! It's hybrid/electric and had definitely been taken care of previously. I feel I did not get as much for the car I traded in however it was old and had a lot of miles on it. It was nice I arrived for the test drive, spoke with Jahir about this process, and easily found myself a great deal. I hope to have this car as long as I can and will return as a customer if I can!

Update: After submitting formal reports and escalating my concerns through the appropriate…read morechannels, CarMax ultimately agreed to cover the related expenses. While I appreciate the resolution, this experience reinforced the importance of due diligence and proactive self-advocacy when making such a significant financial investment. I strongly encourage all buyers to thoroughly review their purchase, document any concerns, and file reports with the appropriate departments as needed. Do not hesitate to advocate for yourself and your finances--vehicles are expensive assets, and consumers should not be unfairly burdened with costly issues immediately after purchase. For prospective buyers, especially those who may not have extensive knowledge about vehicles, I recommend obtaining a second opinion. Even if it costs an additional $200 at an independent dealership or mechanic, having a comprehensive inspection completed within the dealership's return window or warranty period can help prevent long-term financial strain. Lastly, I encourage customers to post updates to their reviews. Sharing outcomes--both challenges and resolutions--supports transparency and helps other consumers make informed decisions when purchasing from CarMax or any dealership.

I drive a 2025 BMW 540 that I absolutely love, but every time I drove over rough roads there was a rattling, almost buzzing noise coming from the passenger-side dashboard area. It made the drive much less enjoyable. I tried several things to figure it out myself but could not isolate the source. When I brought the car to BMW Norwood, they suggested I take a drive with Peter. He was fantastic. He was extremely diligent in trying to pinpoint the sound. While I drove to reproduce the noise, he carefully listened from the passenger seat and even leaned toward the dashboard and A-pillar area to better isolate where it was coming from. After identifying the general location, I left the car with him. Peter spent the rest of the day working to track down the exact source of the noise and resolve it. It turned out the sound was coming from the area near the airbag housing. Everything was properly secured, but he applied felt tape to eliminate any vibration and then thoroughly retested the car to confirm the noise was gone. When I picked up the car, the difference was immediate. The rattle is completely gone and the car now drives perfectly, just as it should. I can finally enjoy the ride. I highly recommend the service department at BMW Norwood, and especially Peter for his diligence, attention to detail, and commitment to solving the problem.

I'm extremely disappointed with my recent service experience at BMW of Norwood…read more I brought in my 2024 BMW X4 with approximately 28,000 miles, which is still within the factory warranty period, because I was repeatedly receiving a parking sensor warning. BMW diagnosed a failed front parking sensor but determined it was caused by a "stone impact" based on a very small mark on the sensor, and therefore would not cover it under warranty. I was quoted $1,411.88 to replace ONE parking sensor. After asking for a breakdown, I was told the sensor itself is only approximately $392, with the majority of the remaining cost attributed to labor because the bumper needs to be removed. I spoke with the service manager, who was courteous and offered a 25% discount, which I appreciated but declined. She also commented that I "must do some highway driving." I found that explanation frustrating -- a BMW should certainly be able to withstand normal highway driving without a customer expecting a $1,400 parking sensor repair on a relatively new vehicle. Experiences like this make me reconsider whether I want to continue being a BMW customer when it comes time to purchase my next vehicle. I expect better warranty support and service from a premium brand
