The way car buying should be! I saw Jahir Polo in Norwood, MA for a car I purchased this past…read moreAugust. I had been browsing online for a few weeks and found the best option from CarMax (sent from another state for a reasonable price). I chose CarMax because I heard a good review as CarMax for a company from someone else. I found a car I was looking for which was 1) an older model 2) less mileage 3) a price I could afford 4) given a decent price to trade in for my then current car. I still love my new car now!! It's hybrid/electric and had definitely been taken care of previously. I feel I did not get as much for the car I traded in however it was old and had a lot of miles on it. It was nice I arrived for the test drive, spoke with Jahir about this process, and easily found myself a great deal. I hope to have this car as long as I can and will return as a customer if I can!

Update: After submitting formal reports and escalating my concerns through the appropriate…read morechannels, CarMax ultimately agreed to cover the related expenses. While I appreciate the resolution, this experience reinforced the importance of due diligence and proactive self-advocacy when making such a significant financial investment. I strongly encourage all buyers to thoroughly review their purchase, document any concerns, and file reports with the appropriate departments as needed. Do not hesitate to advocate for yourself and your finances--vehicles are expensive assets, and consumers should not be unfairly burdened with costly issues immediately after purchase. For prospective buyers, especially those who may not have extensive knowledge about vehicles, I recommend obtaining a second opinion. Even if it costs an additional $200 at an independent dealership or mechanic, having a comprehensive inspection completed within the dealership's return window or warranty period can help prevent long-term financial strain. Lastly, I encourage customers to post updates to their reviews. Sharing outcomes--both challenges and resolutions--supports transparency and helps other consumers make informed decisions when purchasing from CarMax or any dealership.

Dan made the financing as easy as possible and I feel comfortable with my purchase. If you are on the edge with electric come here and listen to the facts they have to tell you. They've got some real cool dudes working here. I showed up a little late to test drive a Chevy…read moreBolt, not a problem for them. They handed me the keys and told me to take it for a spin, just like that, no drivers-ed treatment where some yutz lectures you about the useless features, no waiting around. This gave me the confidence to really relax and imagine owning the car as I drove. I came back to the dealership with a big dopey grin on my face since the test drive went perfectly. Here's a tip: turn right as you head out the parking lot, there's a little neighborhood on the right with a cul de sac where you can (carefully) test your car's turning radius and maneuverability at suburban speeds. If you keep going straight away from the dealership, there's an industrial park where you can go a teeny bit faster. The straightaways around 1A are just fine for a quick sporty zip. After the test drive, the owners and I had a few minutes to chat about the Bolt, my driving needs and home charging situation, and the general state of the EV market. Suffice it to say, they know their stuff. This is not some casual hobby to them where they just read the brochures of the cars, there is a real enthusiasm and passion there. Theres enough to make me write this before I'm fully committed to buying a car from this establishment. There's enough to make me type this review out in my own car before I leave the place. Couldn't be more satisfied.

I've never left a 1 star review, but my experience with Nucar Toyota of Norwood was frustrating…read moreenough that I want to warn others. We called ahead to schedule a test drive and were explicitly told that a RAV4 would be available. However, when we arrived, we were greeted by a salesperson who immediately launched into a sales pitch about limited inventory and reserved vehicles, none of which addressed the reason for our visit. When we redirected the conversation and asked about the test drive, we were told that no RAV4s were available unless we first placed a deposit to reserve one that's on the way. Being asked to commit financially before even test driving the car felt unreasonable, especially given what we've been told over the phone. Later in the day, we receive a call from them and when we shared our experience, the person told us that there was actually one available for test driving. It was extremely frustrating that we drove an hour there and back for nothing (esp. when gas price is through the roof now!) I recommend that others confirm details very carefully before visiting and avoid feeling pressured into making a decision on the spot. There are other Toyota dealerships that will take better care of you.

Website and third party sites list cars they aren't ready and willing to sell, they will setup an appointment to see and buy a car they have no intention of selling you and try to redirect you to more expensive cars.
