I think this was a really fun room! I've done a few escape rooms but this one was fun! I want to come back and try their virtual realty rooms too. LOCATION: They are located on the 2nd floor, Mauka side of Halekauwila Street. PARKING: Look for street metered parking..... if the preschool isn't in session, I suppose you can park there too. Don't park there if schools in session tho.... you might get towed. COST: Reasonable... sorry, you'll have to call or lookup current prices my girlfriend paid for me hahaha. SERVICE: So you're greeted by friendly staff and they go over the rules and the object of the game very clearly. Five stars aren't enough.  We went to celebrate my friend's birthday by doing the virtual reality Dragon Tower Game.  OMG it was so fun.  This is a two to five player game that takes about 45 minutes to complete.  VR escape is the next big thing in escape rooms.  The VR technology that Chambers uses is high tech.  You get to put on a backpack, a VR headset, earphones, and hold two controllers.  You can walk, pick things up, throw things, jump, duck, and hear to be immersed in this VR.  I really felt like I was in medieval times ***spoiler alert*** battling a dragon.  My heart was racing, I was blocking dragon fire with a shield, I was shooting weapons.  It was crazy, scary at some parts, and overall thrilling. Our guide Emma was really nice getting us suited up to do our first VR experience.  She explained everything well and how to operate the controls.  It's amazing that a plain black room can turn into something so magical.  Because of COVID we had to wear our face masks in the VR experience.  I was a little claustrophobic, but soon forgot all about it.  At some points in the game, there is a lot of moving and I got a lot of exercise haha.  Happy to say we finished the game.  I most enjoyed the puzzles and just looking around at the beautifully programed environment.  I literally can't wait to try the other games.  Looks like they have a Space Station Tiberia and Depths of Osiris VR game.  Both seem very cool.  You definitely have to reserve your spot on-line.  It is a simple process to book your group.  Parking is on the street so bring your quarters.  I hope they can bring more VR games in the future.  This was such a fun experience that my friends and I will be literally talking about for months. read more

Came here last week with a group of friends & we had a fantastic time ! We did the dragon tower VR challenge with five people. I think the recommended amount of participants is four but our host allowed us to have five. I can see why four is the recommended amount though...I bumped into & elbowed my friends a few times but it wasn't anything serious. There were three levels to this challenge that needed to be completed in order to escape. My friends and I got stuck on the first level for a bit since we got distracted by a virtual dog... my tip to you...don't let that happen!! We ended up having to use one hint out of the three we had. With the amount of time & hints given, difficulty of the tasks & number of people, my friends and I were able to successfully escape. just FYI...We were able to get some discounts since we booked the challenge as a group on top of being locals/students. Amazing virtual reality experience in the heart of Downtown Honolulu on the same street as Max and Lucy's. This is the perfect location for office workers to literally escape from reality after work! I came here with several of my co-workers. This was my first time playing a virtual reality game and I was excited to see how everything would feel like. Everything ended up feeling so real. It was a pretty awesome experience. Your team will be taken into a large and mostly empty black room. The worker will help you put on your VR equipment and tell you to stand in one of the green squares that you will see once you are wearing the headset. There is a lot of space to roam about and it will be easy to tell where the VR boundaries are located. We chose to play the "Dragon Tower" game which lasted for approximately 45 minutes. Instantly, we were transported to medieval times in a locked tower. We had to figure our way out of the tower and battle a dragon. It was very immersive, much more so than playing a regular video game at home. We ended up winning. We were also given a free eight minute bonus game called the haunted hospital that was scary and fun. I think the developers should create the haunted hospital into a full 45 minute game. I hope to see more of the scary ones available for Halloween. This week, Chambers is running a promotion for 40% off VR games, so we were charged $20 per person. There is also a regular kama'aina discount of $34 per person. Regular price per person is $45. Chambers plans to develop an escape room by the end of this month. I plan to be back to try the escape rooms and play more VR games. Highly recommended! read more

It being a new escape room company I was alittle skeptical at first but OMG I'm so glad we tried and completed "The Temple" live hands-on escape room. With the owner's expansive experience of doing multiple escape rooms around the world its no wonder everything was so professional! From the awesome Egyptian theme & detailed room design, to the story, to the awesome game master, to the fun medium difficulty puzzles themselves. My friend has done one escape room before, I've done 9 and my husband has done 11 and we all 3 agree this by far has been the best escape room on island!! When booking its always a private group for NO extra fee AND there's great Groupon and kamaiina rates too! What's not to love? I can't wait for the next 3rd generation live escape room! Came here as part of my birthday weekend. They told us that they don't take walk-ins, lucky for us there was availability and we were able to book an 8PM on a Friday. There's street parking, no big deal since businesses are operating during covid times the streets were fairly empty. We were not able to park right outside the building at the moment though (might change soon). The doors were locked and we had to call for them to unlock it to open. My husband was hesitant at first about the quality of the virtual reality, however that quickly dissipated as we were completely immersed into the game and transported into space! The hints were helpful and the guide was patient and encouraging. I highly recommend for date night or a night out with friends. It was challenging, but doable. Be careful bc the VR seemed so real to us that we accidentally tumbled over each other. Lots of great memories. We barely saved humanity in just enough time! Hahahah Thanks Chambers Hawaii! Live Egyptian-themed room - not bad and some interesting puzzles, would recommend. The thing I didn't like about it was that you have a guide who is seeing if you are doing something and then activating the next phase via an iPad. Did this room in 2019. Dragon Tower VR - I think this is the only VR room I would recommend, and when I did it in 2019, it was one of my favorite escape room experiences Space Station Tiberia - did not like this one, especially because it was also expensive. With two people, it still only took us like 30 minutes only and it was $50+ per person. The mechanics were just not as interesting to me given the capabilities of VR. Would not recommend. Did in 2022 Depths of Osiris - I think this was just OK. I wouldn't recommend due to the price. It took us 35 minutes. I think the puzzles are just not that difficult. There are some unique things, like some interaction with sea life that I thought was a good use of VR, but overall, some of the mechanics were like playing a video game and the puzzles were basic. Did in 2022. There are more VR escape games after you have done them all. I'm not sure if I would do them though, considering I'm mixed about my experience with their latest two offerings. read more

I've been a long time fan of another breakout location in town (that shall not be named), but decided to give Chambers Escape Games a shot as I've been hearing great reviews from colleagues and friends. Chambers Escape Games is next level and goes above and beyond to make your 1-hour an immersive and exciting experience. This place may just be my new #1 go-to breakout place (shhh). My boyfriend and I went with our friends in the afternoon and we liked it so much that we booked for a 11PM VR session on that very same day. If you are going to do the VR breakout sessions, I recommend wearing comfortable, breathable clothing as I found myself sweating a river by the end of the session. I definitely recommend wearing shoes or at least having a pair of socks on you if you end up doing VR. For the live action, I would say wear casual clothing and shoes just to be safe (in the event your team member steps on your toes; it happens). Chambers Escape Games offer a special room for those that breakout of their 4 current rooms (1 live action and 3 VR). I found this to be a worthwhile and cool way to promote their games. The staff really knows how to set the mood and they put their full 110% into providing you a great breakout session. They know how to pump you up before they trap you in a room haha, I just love and appreciate their energy. If I was a fresh out of high school teen, I would've immediately applied to join their crew. That's just how much I enjoyed the staff at Chambers Escape Games. Needless to say, I will be back to break out of 2 more VR sessions before I move (or I'll just add them on my to-do list when I visit home from the mainland). We've been to several escape rooms but Chambers is got to be the best so far. We decided to do the interactive escape called The Temple. The rooms were very immersive. You actually feel you are Indiana Jones in a temple and trying to find the treasure. Zeke the guide was perfect. He was so invisible at times some of use actually got scared when we saw him tucked in the corner. The clues were medium and we did ask for some hints. We plan on going back the three remaining times so we can get our picture on the wall. I would refer Chambers Escape Games to everyone. This is the owners only escape room. read more

We did TWO escape rooms this past weekend. After doing Dragon Tower plus Hospital of Horror, we just couldn't wait to go back so we booked for Depths of Osiris days later. We have done other Escape Rooms on island but doing it in VR, being immersed into gameplay is a whole different experience. We were helped by Emma both times (the bestest Game Master ever!) and we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. Emma was filming around us and we didn't even know. Total ninja. I threw my son's 16th birthday here. Personally, I did not play because who wants their mommy with him and a bunch of 16 year olds. But just from booking online, and meeting the tour guide it was a breeze and such nice greetings. Although I was not apart of the escape room, my son and his friends all said it was super awesome and they escaped with 11 minutes left on the clock. With kids all over their video games and electronics I chose for them to do the live version and they loved it. Pricing was actual very decent from other places. Our first escape virtual reality escape room! This was so fun! So I made a reservation online and was able to split payment online as well, which was really cool but that split payment link will expire or whatever. So do that right away. Our reservation was at 8PM. We arrived near the area around 7:45PM. We found street parking where the meters were. Our friends went to the boba shop under chambers. Looked nice. We went up to chambers and signed in and such. Waited a bit while they were setting up. The guys were lucky that their glasses were a smaller frame size, which had fit into the headset. My glasses were huge but I couldn't see without my glasses and had to just wear it as tight as I can with the headset. This was a super fun night! We made it out with 2 minutes to spare. HAHAHAHA. We suck. Didn't know where to start. We are so going to try to do this every month for date night. Lol. read more

The best escape room I've ever been to. We had done The Temple and our GM (Devin?) was amazing at guiding and setting the atmosphere. The story was actually very engaging. The set and props were high quality. The puzzles were exciting and extremely fun, there was a lot of new types of puzzles that I hadn't seen anywhere else. It wasn't just locks and keys, there was so much more and unique ways to solve and make progress through the story. We had so much fun we're planning to come back again for the rest of their escape room experiences. OUR EXPERIENCE First time here for me and we reserved the virtual reality Space Station Tiberia over a live game. My girlfriend and I had our mother-daughter once a month date night here and I need to be honest. We, the Mother's, had difficulty with our brains last night while our daughters had no problems whatsoever lol. With that said, it was fun, exciting, realistic, challenging and funny. So funny I fell down and I don't know why as there was nothing or no one in my way lol. We even got emailed a group photo taken at the end when your hair is a mess more lol. THE STAFF Zach was absolutely amazing with his motivation and help. You know he was on your side rooting for you and making sure we didn't stray too far off course.
