Awesome experience! My husband and I booked an hour virtual reality game with AVR for a date night and were blown away by the experience. Gerard, one of the designers of the software, was helpful in providing directions to the location when we were lost and greeted us at door upon arrival. He was friendly, polite, and excited about us experiencing his adventures. He explained how to operate the controllers and what to expect when we put on the headsets. Operation was easy, just a controller per hand and one button on each hand used to grab (click) and move items (hold button and move hands). We purchased a 2-player package, meaning that we both got to hear each other, see each other (our helmets and hands), and work together inside the virtual reality worlds. Now for the game. There were three missions within the program: space sci-fi, magic fantasy, and steampunk sky. I wont give away the plots of the missions, but each level was left me awestruck but how immersed I was in each world. The world is detailed on all sides, so everywhere you look is within this alternate reality. Each level is built around platforms and "portals" so there is no urge to walk around much (since you are attached to wiring that hangs down from above), and even with some moving back and forth and spinning to grab items, I didn't get tangled. The headsets were so comfortable I actually forgot I was wearing them! Each mission requires a certain level of problem solving and if you have partner(s), you need to work together to figure out the puzzles. We completed all 3 missions within our hour and although parts were challenging, the game does offer varying degrees of clues to help along the way. Gerard took a few photos of us while in the game which was funny to see afterward. My final recommendation is that the game is appropriate for pre-teen, teen, and adult age people. You need to follow on screen directions, understand the limits of the equipment, and not be afraid of heights (as some of the "platforms" are high in the VR universe. It is highly recommended and well worth what we spent for the hour. Memorable date night --- we will be coming back for the next released version!

I have been to escape rooms before... but I have to say Adventure VR blows them out of the water! Your missions takes you to different worlds to find clues, fighting witches like Harry Potter, shooting bow and arrows like Robin Hood, solving puzzles like Indiana Jones and that is just to name a few. The cool thing is that you can do it (and should) with two or more people, great for team bonding, date night or just hanging out with your teenage son... LOL! Cool thing is you don't get motion sickness and if you are afraid of heights just remind yourself that you haven't left the ground. I would recommend Adventure VR to anyone looking for a fun safe time out of the sun in A/C in privacy. So for your 60 minutes you have the place to your self, so if you want to scream like a girl because you are standing at the edge of a cliff and have to stick your hand out to grab a dangling object, you can... not that I did that or anything. Just saying.

First time EVER doing something related to virtual reality and it was a truly unforgettable experience. Took my girlfriend here for her birthday and she absolutely loved it. We both were in awe of the game that was made by the company and how creative it was. The games keeper was really nice and took great photos of us. Tips were really helpful when stuck and would definitely be back. STRONGLY recommend. 100% wont ever find games/adventures like ones they have, and I literally mean that.

Wet and Wild was definitely the highlight of my son's vacation to the island, besides shark diving in the Northshore. There are so many attractions. Huge slides, wave pools. Areas for tots. I'm also not a huge wildlife or ocean life person in general, but my boyfriend loves aquariums and anything sea-related. He originally wanted to go to the Waikīkī Aquarium, but I surprised him with tickets to Sea Life Park instead. It was both of our first times visiting, and I'll be honest, I went in with a lot of preconceived notions. I couldn't have been more wrong. From the moment we got there, I was genuinely surprised in the best way. I learned so much about the animals, and you can really see how intelligent they are. What stood out the most to me was how passionate and caring all of the trainers were. It didn't feel like a "show" in a negative sense. It felt educational, thoughtful, and rooted in genuine care. Kekoa the monk seal completely stole my heart. I won't spoil his story, but learning about him is what truly shifted my perspective on the park and the kind of work they do. You can tell they are intentional about the animals they bring in and the role they play in research, rehabilitation, and education. The dolphin show was absolutely phenomenal. I've never seen anything like it before. It was not only entertaining, but also really highlighted the connection between the trainers and the animals. Another thing I really appreciated was the emphasis on education, especially for visitors. It's a popular tourist spot and they make a strong effort to teach people about respecting wildlife, like not touching animals you may encounter on the beach. It meant a lot to see that message being reinforced. If you're planning to go, I definitely recommend arriving right when they open so you can look at the daily schedule and try to catch all of the activities. Overall, this experience completely changed my perspective. I went in skeptical and left with a new appreciation for what Sea Life Park does. It ended up being such a meaningful and memorable day for both of us.

Unfortunately, this park has drastically declined over the years. Yes, the season passes are good deals but not really when every time you show up to the park, at least half the rides are closed. One ride that is closed 9 out of 10 times I go? The lazy river. It's a staple, why would you NOT have it open the entire time the park is open? I assume they have staffing shortage issues. Their hours are crazy weird and inconsistent. You need to go to their website and figure out what day you want to go and look for the color-coded operating hours. Some days, they're only open 5 hours. Some Saturdays, they might be closed completely for a special event. They do offer dive-in movie nights and show NFL games on the large screen in the wave pool. Every once in awhile, there will be a concert. The chairs are in disrepair - falling apart, sagging, faded, etc. The food prices are outrageous - but that's to be expected at any "theme" park. Parking is free with season passes and you get a free tumbler that can be filled for less than $4. But even the tumbler bottles have shrunk in size over the years so it's not really a deal. With Wet n' Wild being a franchise, you'd think they would invest some time and money into renovations of Hawaii's only water park. Just my two cents.
