The place is located in kakaako area. Very easy to find the shop. We booked an alley online and also pre signed a waiver. Doing everything online made the checkin process quicker. During check in, if drinking, you will receive a band. They have a bar and also some pupus! Our attendant was very helpful and informative. Also to mention very good with demonstrating the different ways of axe throwing. If you want to come and try axe throwing, definitely go with friends and challenge yourself. It was fun! Don't drink too much because you are handling a weapon!! Be safe and enjoy it if you haven't thrown axe before.. Satisfaction: VERY! helped me to release stress Mood: proud of myself will definitely come again

Oh my Goodness!!! One of my favorite date nights we've had in so long!! On a whim, we made reservations a week out for a 4:20pm time slot. Each reservation is for an hour and a half. For two people, I think that's a perfect amount of time, maybe even for up to 4 people. Anymore, and I think reserving a double time slot would be better. Well, we were running late due to a bit of traffic, so we called to let them know. They were pretty empty at the time, so they pushed our reservation time back 10 minutes so we'd still have a full hour and a half. And, it makes everything go by faster of your party fills out the waivers online beforehand. When we got there, they checked for that and gave is wristbands foe drinks where they keep track of how many you consume. After 2 drinks, you get cut off from throwing the axes if your order a third, but you can still drink. When they show you which lane you'll be using, a coach goes over a few different throws and the rules with you, and makes sure you get a hang of it before they leave you alone with the axe! Our coach was Kyle, and he was super great! After we got awarded and got a hang of it, it turned out to be soooo much fun!! About a half hour before our time was up, Kyle came back to show us how to do some "trick shots", some even with 2 axes! We most definitely plan on returning, next time maybe even with a couple friends.

Been here two times without reservations and had fun both times. The first time I went with a coworker to celebrate my birthday. Yesterday I brought my 14-year-old son for some quality time before school starts. The coach on my first visit (forgot his name) gave a brief demo and left us to do our thing. That evening an organization booked a few lanes so we had maybe an hour to play but it was enough. The coach also very kindly charged us for 30 minute trial or something (my coworker paid). We had chips and salsa, they were ok. My coworker's driver's permit expired so she wasn't allowed to drink alcohol. Our coach last night was Xoe. She and the other staff working were all very nice. She gave a very thorough demo and safety briefing and had us throw a few times until our axes stuck. And then around an hour later or so she showed us trick shots! That was fun. She didn't push us to order drinks or food and I appreciate that. 1.5 hours is more than enough for both of us. We played first to 50 and AXES. My right arm is a little sore today! It was Student (and I think educator/staff/faculty) night last night so we got 50% off! Every Wednesday for August 2023. Parking at Keauhou Place was $2 with validation. Otherwise it's $9!

I took my fiancé here for his birthday celebration. We came on a weekday in the afternoon so we literally had the entire place to ourselves for a while. It was great because the server also acted as our coach and mixologist for drinks. He was great at demonstrating different ways to throw the axe and showing us how to do trick shots. There's also options for different ways to play the axe throwing games and keeping score, which makes for a great way to spend time! We ordered the kalua pork nachos and bbq flatbread, but the food was just alright for us. The drinks were good though. Parking is located in the structure with validation. The 1st hour is free, or you could look around the area for street parking if you get lucky. Overall, I would come again with friends and family if you're looking for something new to try out and spend time together.

Fun outing with friends. Harder than we expected, there were many failed attempts lol. 1.5 hour time limit, goes by too quick. Would be great if it was at least 2 hours. We went in on a Monday night so the place was basically empty. It's usually $30/person but Birthday/Kamaaina discount is available. You can reserve a lane online (strict cancellation policy). Your group will receive a demo by an employee and be briefed on what to do and what not to do. Then you're free to do your thing.

We came here for a corporate event, which reserved the entire venue for our party. Most of the other reviews explain this place best, so I'll give a review that fills in the pockets that other reviews may not have mentioned TL;DR: Clothing * Wear shoes * Dress comfortably Parking * Metered street parking ~ Free after 6 pm ~ Some park by 5 pm and pay only for the 1 hour. Street parking is hard to find after 5:30 pm * Garage Parking in the Keauhou Garage ~ 1 hour is free with validation ~ $1 up to 2-hours ~ $2 up to 3-hours ~ $4 up to 4-hours ~ $3 for every 30-mins after that Inside * You will need to sign a waiver form either on their website or in person * Have a valid ID Alcohol * You will receive a wristband for up to two drinks. I'm not sure what happens after two; however, I've seen a few posts that share they give you another band and may limit your intake. On a busy night, getting bar service might be a little tricky since the Coaches who show you how to throw the axe also manage the front door, the food, and the bar. That might knock a star down for some, so to each their own. Of course, Kyle is the star of the show in every Yelp; which is true to what every good post says about him. I forgot the names of the other coaches, but they are just as great as well. Once you get the hang of things, the Coaches will come back to show you a few trick shots. Definitely worth the fun!

It's going down, I'm yelling Timber Jokes aside Blade & Timber was a fun area with 8 lanes of axe throwing that can accommodate large groups and a open and welcoming atmosphere. They take the time to explain safety and techniques while throwing so that you're able to rack up some points and feel confident that anyone can do it. While we were throwing they'll offer tips and tricks whether its your stance, grip, movement, and are willing to teach so that you can maximize your time. It's definitely worthwhile and with a 10% Kama'aina discount, it's great place to meet up with friends and spend the night.

We met our friends here for a night out this past Saturday. This was my girlfriend and my first time here. Our other friends have been here before. It was a fun time!!! The staff were super nice, friendly, and helpful with basic instructions and safety procedures. They would check in on us and gave us tips throughout the night. Overall, this is a nice place to come and try something different.

1st timers POV: Decided to go out for some quality time as a date night activity and loved everything from the ambiance to the awesome coaches and friendly service! As soon as you enter they have you scan a QR code to complete a digital waiver as well as providing a valid I.D. They then give you a wristband for alcohol up to 2 drinks while playing and enjoying some axe throwing. Afterwards you are able to enjoy some more drinks as you wish and some food (although we didn't eat) we were too caught up in the moment! From there they also come by to run through some trick shots if you're feeling a little wild. All in all we had an amazing night and will definitely come back! Appreciate all you guys do!

Was a first for me and a lot of others in our group. Fun spot to throw axes and play different games. Definitely takes some getting used to. Lots of different drinks to choose from and different food options. Seems like every employee does everything. Like there is no one person running the check in desk, or the bar or the making of the food, or even teaching the technique in throwing of the axes. So there was a lot of waiting at the bar to order drink and or food. And you get a green wrist ban to start and after you ordered 3 alcoholic drinks the change your ban to red. The make your wrist ban every time you order a drink.

Ask the Community - Blade & Timber Axe Throwing - Honolulu

Would I be able to bring my own throwing axes?

I believe you can't. They provide that.

If I were to bring throwing knives, would I be allowed to use them instead of/in addition to the axe throwing?

Great question! Unfortunately, our insurance folks aren't allowing us to allow knife throwing at our location. Hopefully soon!

    Is there alcohol?

Heads-up everyone, this answer was for their old location. They do not serve or allow alcohol at their new location YET, but I was informed that they are working on getting that done.

Would this be a good place for a team building for 10-12 people that need to learn how to play nicely in the sandbox? It looks fun, but naturally, for a workplace gathering, arming them with deadly weapons could be considered dangerous.

It's a lot of fun but I don't think it would be ideal for what you're looking for. You would have a lot of down time with people waiting their turn. Breakout room sounds more what you're looking for.
