So good! What a hidden gem in Katy!…read more I can't wait to bring our Nextdoor What's Next 50+ Women's Group here next Wednesday! First, let's talk about the music! Israel was fantastic, and he even takes requests! Such a great touch to an already wonderful atmosphere. Then there was the service! Andy took great care of us, and every recommendation was spot on. We started with the beef meatballs, lobster and shrimp arancini, and cheese bread. Let's just say, thank goodness tomorrow is a gym day! We were already getting full, but that didn't stop us from enjoying our entrées. My husband ordered the double pork chop, and I had the chicken Parmesan. Both were absolutely delicious! From the live music and welcoming atmosphere to the outstanding service and food, this place checked all the boxes! I'm so glad we stumbled upon this Katy gem. We'll definitely be back--and sooner than later!

The staff was friendly, attentive, and quick to take our orders. We ordered the flatbread, penne alla vodka, and gnocchi alla bolognese. The flatbread was crispy and chewy, and I liked the dipping oil it came with. The penne alla vodka was flavorful and creamy, while the gnocchi was savory and chewy. Overall, everything came out hot and delicious! I was eyeing their pizzas while waiting for our food, so I'll definitely have to try one next time.

Ambiance: Local wine bar in Katy with upscale modern decor featuring a nice bar and multiple…read morelounge/table options I would have loved to give Cork It 4 or 5 stars but the conversation I had with the bartender as I was closing out completely changed my entire experience. This is a nicely decorated bar with a decent wine menu, unique crafted cocktails, and well-displayed appetizers/boards. Great for a date night or individual hanging out at the bar. I run a local social club and we have a WhatsApp group where I shared Cork It and we decided to meetup here on a Tuesday evening. When I arrived at 6pm, there were only 4 people at the bar. We slowly had people from our group trickle in and I would say by 7-8pm, there were about 12 of us in total. We took up 4 of the tables, however there was still plenty of bar/lounge seating as well as a large table in the corner for other patrons. The service was incredibly slow. Took about 10 mins per person to place and receive a drink order, food took a significantly long time. From 6-8pm, I only had the chance to order one drink. Mind you, there were never more than 15-20 patrons at one time (including our group). None of us complained or were upset about the service/wait time. When I went to close out, the bartender complained to me about bringing in so many people and said I should have booked an event/party with them so they "could have been prepared." This wasn't a party or event I was hosting. This was quite literally 12 people who arrived at different times, sitting at open tables or the bar to socialize and order a drink/menu item. In this economy and with how much local places are struggling, I cannot imagine telling a customer they "brought in too much business." I was told Tuesdays are usually "dead." It seemed like she just didn't want to have to actually be busy for 2 hours. As a local community organizer/supporter, I cannot continue to support any place that complains about new customers. If they do not want groups, that's something that could have been shared as we started filling up their tables. Any bar that can't comfortably handle 15 patrons at a time is clearly inexperienced and not expecting to grow. To act like we overwhelmed them is wild. I would think the goal for any bar would be to have their tables taken up at prime dinner time.

We recently went here for my son's birthday and had a wonderful lunch!…read more The restaurant is beautifully decorated and captures the essence of Italy. I particularly loved the lemons around the bar area, very Positano. The food was outstanding! For the appetizer we had the Fritto Misto 10/10. It was delicious. A combination of calamari, shrimp, zucchini and bell peppers. For my entree I got the Fettuccine allá bolognese 10/10. This was superb! Would definitely order it again. For drinks I had a glass of the Chianti and finished with their espresso martini. I 100% recommend getting an espresso martini, one of the best I've had from a restaurant. For dessert we had the pistachio cheesecake 10/10 - creamy and delightful. They gave us a chocolate cake for my son's bday and it was very yummy. Overall, I really enjoyed this place! Everything was great. Service was super friendly and she gave some great recommendations! I will be going back for dinner next time.

The food, service, and ambiance was excellent! The hostess and wait staff greeted us warmly and promptly. We were celebrating a birthday and they immediately asked whose birthday and also has a nice card on the reserved table to celebrate the special occasion! Great service! The decor and ambiance was very nice. From a nice picture taking area outside to the Italian themed decor including a Vespa and beautiful black and white pictures of Italy! The food was the star of the show. We ordered the Fritto Misto (8/10) that was cooked well and had large pieces of fried shrimp included. The Fettuccini alla Bolognese (9/10) was incredible. The pasta was cooked in the same way that reminded me of pasta dishes I had when we visited Italy. We finished with the Pistachio Cheesecake (9/10) which was unlike anything I had before. Overall, I was impressed with the food and service and would highly recommend this restaurant if you want some outstanding Italian cuisine.
