    Brunch charcuterie board
    Mariah B.

First time having brunch at Chalet. I had a reservation and we were seated right away, which was nice. The restaurant had a nice vibe with music playing, but it wasn't too loud, which made for a chill atmosphere. I ordered the charcuterie brunch board, and the food came out hot and pretty quickly. The boneless wings were well seasoned and flavorful, but the regular wings lacked seasoning and were completely flavorless. The eggs were cooked well but definitely needed salt and pepper. The potatoes were a little hard and didn't seem freshly prepared. The pancakes and waffles were just okay, nothing standout but fine. The portion was big enough for two people, and we even had leftovers to take home. Our server was great, super friendly and attentive the whole time. Overall, the service and vibe were great, but the food just didn't match the price.

Came here on a Saturday for brunch without a reservation , and was able to get seating at the bar upstairs. I recommend making reservations. The inside was cozy and the vibe was perfect for brunch. Courtney was our bartender and she was super sweet!!! As for the food...shrimp and grits, i'd give a 5/10. It was cooked well, it was just too spicy for my liking (and i love spicy foods). We also tried their wings, with the housemade peach sauce on them...9/10! They were delicious. We started and ended the brunch with a mimosa tower. Worth every penny. Overall, i would come back for the vibe and the wings, but would def try a different entree!

Amazing service and the food was delicious! I'm so glad they offer a breakfast board filled with a variety of brunch foods because that was perfect for me and my friends to share. I love how they bring out shots in a cute airplane as well & offer mimosa towers as well. It looks small from the outside but Chalet is actually very spacious and has upstairs seating as well.

This place is always packed, the venue is on the smaller side so make sure to get a reservation. The food is honestly bar food, nothing to write home about. I think most people come for the vibes and music, there's usually a Dj playing hip hop and R&B.

My girls and I came here for Saturday Brunch! Parking was easy to find right around the corner in a lot. The inside was so much smaller than expected and to top it off, they were oh so crowded! Wait times were ridiculously long. We waited approx 1.5 hours for a table since reservations were booked out. The music was banging! The food was fantastic! We enjoyed the brunch board and half mimosa tower! It was perfect for the 3 of us; we even had some leftovers. Although we had a good time, I wouldn't recommend coming here for brunch without reservations.

We came here one weekend for brunch to celebrate my friends graduation. She saw this place on Tik-Tok and wanted to come here. We arrived for our reservation and was seated near the bar. The place wasn't that busy maybe five to six people. There was only one server the whole time we were at Chalet. Which prolong in taking our order and longer wait time to pay. The food was just ok. The drinks were pretty good. The music was super loud and the inside of this place needs to be remodeled. This place looks nothing like what is shown on Tik Tok. The upstairs looks old and creepy. There were people finally coming in and was seated upstairs. Five minutes later they were leaving out the door.

Super cutesy spot! I believe the place has two levels. I was with a larger group, and we were seated upstairs. We had a reservation, but we ended up split between two side-by-side booths. It was a bit of a weird setup -- it felt like we could've all fit at one table, but we made it work and got over it pretty quickly! This place has such a lively vibe. They play great music, have a full bar, and the menu is huge. Plus, tons of neon signs -- love that. Our server was super sweet and patient with us as we figured out what we wanted. She also was extremely busy, and was even the bartender! She answered all of our questions and made the whole experience really pleasant. Since the energy was so fun, a couple of us decided to kick things off with a shot ski -- yep, a shot taken off a ski. It was such a fun way to start brunch. I split the chicken and waffles, which came with whipped cream and berries on top. The chicken was wings which were fried to perfection, and the waffle was way better than I expected. Like, surprisingly good. One of my friends got the chicken sliders, which came with fries and (I think) on pretzel buns -- either way, that dish was very good. And the shrimp and grits? I didn't try it myself, but a few folks at the table gave it a solid 10/10. All in all, this place is perfect for groups and a great spot to grab dinner or brunch and drinks before a night out!

I stopped by for happy hour on Thursday with no reservation, and there were no spots for us. But the host was extremely nice and was able to squeeze us in. The burgers were good, but I had requested no peppers on mine but it still came on it. My boyfriend had requested his with no sauce and it also came with it. This kinda dampened the experience, and would've been so much better if we had gotten what we requested. Other than that, the fries and drinks were amazing. There was also an automatic gratuity of 20% added to the check, which is kinda annoying. Make sure you're not double tipping.

Had a 6:30 reservation (happy hour until 7). We ended up getting there early, no spots. No biggie. We got a text our table was ready but the line was so lobo and they were so backed up at the front that we didn't get seated until 15 mins past our reservation, which only left 15 mins for happy hour. I'd say it was disappointing, but the HH drinks were terrible. The place must've gotten a deal on lemon juice because everything was so extra lemony. All shooters, lemon drops, etc. The only redeeming factor was the food. The wings were amazing!! I had Korean bbq, my friend had buffalo. Both sauces were delicious. Boneless wings were so crispy on the outside and so tender on the inside. They were absolutely perfect, but you only get a 1/3 container of ranch with them. I'd come back just for wings and skip the happy hour drinks. Service wasn't great either. We had to aggressively flag our waitress down. They were seriously short staffed for how busy it was. Our waitress wasn't friendly at all either and never refilled our waters or voluntarily asked us if we wanted anything else. Overall the hype is way overstated.

Chalet is indeed a beautiful establishment with a fun vibe. When you walk in there is a DJ playing on each of the two floors. They have an all day menu, but I came for the brunch. I ordered the carmel french toast, turkey sausage and eggs scrambled with cheese. The carmel toast was exceptional. It was my favorite of everything I ordered. However, the turkey sausage was dry and the eggs were just okay. My guest had the truffle mac and cheese. Now the mac and cheese blew my mind. It was perfectly made. It wasn't too cheesy and had great flavors. The mimosas were good as well. I recommend giving this restaurant a try for the food and fun vibe with the DJs on both floors. The music may be loud at times so that's something to consider.

The food was good honestly. The vibe in the space as pretty good and they played good music throughout. I was torn between the chicken and the burger. The burger was just kind of okay but the chicken was good. Fries were very good though. I would go again maybe to try different things to see if anything knocks my socks off. They also did card when we got in so not sure if it's only a 21+ place just to be mindful

How is the parking at Chalet?

There is street parking and a paid parking lot but it was small. I would recommend carpooling or rideshare if you want to get close. You may be able to find parking on an adjacent street or a few blocks down.

Unfortunately Machine was not open, which is downstairs from this place, so we went here. Usually there is a bouncer outside, covering both places, but no one was at the door so me and The Queen walked upstairs. The bouncer was upstairs and saw us come in, so he asked for ID. He explained that everyone gets card before they come in, which is not a issue for me. The overall vibe, for me, was definitely a frat hangout vibe. There are arcade games all over the place and cutesy names for beers and cocktails, like the Froot Loops (vodka, coriander honey, oat milk, shochu, saline, milk carton, and froot loops). Man I do not do cocktails and this is the reason why. There is too much going on in that glass for me to deal with. Prices for cocktails range from $14-$15. BFF #1 got a vodka soda for $13, but looking at the size of the glass, it was on the small side. BFF #1 said it was on the weak side. I was happy to hear that there was prosecco, so I got that. The Doctor showed up and got a beer. The selection of beers was limited from what I could see on the wall, maybe there was a list someone else behind the bar. The bartender was a really sweet, she was all smiles and kept calling me baby, which was so funny to me. I tipped her well because she was great on them pours of prosecco. We did not do food as we were heading to Club Lago for dinner and I didn't realize that they had food until I checked into Yelp and saw the online menu. The Queen actually went to a DJ set here with Roosevelt, I believe, and said it was a good event. Not a place I would normally hang out in, but I can see the appeal for folks in their 20s as I would definitely say outside of The Queen, the three of us were the oldest folks in there. Lots of people taking Instagram photos and posing or making short videos with those ring lights. I imagine it can get super loud when it is busy, but that is a vibe for some folks. I would say if that is your thing, this is the place for you.

I booked it as our final meal in Chicago and lay awake at 4am being so disappointed in my choice. Our server's greeting was monotone and emotionless, which I realize now, would be foreshadowing the meal to come. Ordered the following 1) Smoky eggplant- arrived appearing as an unappetizing curdled purple grey mush. This was the worst tasting baba ghanouj I have ever eaten. It was acidic and had the texture of cottage cheese. The only redeeming thing about this appetizer was the warm naan. 2) house made stratciatella with side of green falafels- The stratciatella was bland and stringy. I would not order this dish expecting the creamy interior of typical burrata. However, if you like string cheese mixed with heavy cream- you may enjoy this dish. The tomatoes and basil were good. 3) chicken kefta- kefta was bland, rice even blander . 4) short rib with polenta- bland and the meat and polenta had the same texture, which seems impossible but somehow the plating was over complicated by the addition of mushy dates and grapes. 5) buttered noodles- my 8 year old ordered this. It was decent with a good amount of Parmesan and cooked perfectly al dente. By the end of the meal, I was so shocked by how terrible the food was I didn't even want to order the sticky date cake that was my main purpose for returning to this restaurant. What I mean is on my engagement night, after a long long day I took my foodie wife to be out for a $300 "experience" which is really just sitting in front of the dessert station next to the expo area. So the food was ok- for all the knowledge ZERO cuts of quality meat. A little goat on a stick and a little tuna poke- the rest veggies which whatever is fine I'm just saying. I spent another $75 on drinks. OpenTable allowed me to book this at 1030pm the restaurant closes at 11pm I was upset and management would not come over and say hi or comp a drink. What restaurant would you be able to call and book a 6 course dinner experience 30min before close? Because it's an app you can hide behind the fact I should be looking at when you close to not book it? Managers profited $300 off me can't comp a drink on our engagement? I had a lovely time, the food wasn't bad, some interesting, service was ok, chefs stoners waiting to get off work. I get it. It's probably worth it but do not hit the last time or they act like you are keeping them late- which we did. I'd never book an experience 30min before close if I put it together. A cheap way for an app and restaurant to squeeze hard earned money out of peoples pockets is what I saw. Cheers
