I was kinda hoping for something that would taste more like cinnamon, cardamom, clove, ginger...or whatever kind of spices it is that I usually find myself tasting when I order a cup of chai. This drink wasn't bad and our daughter definitely liked it. Just that it wasn't quite what I was hoping for, and with a name like "Chaii Surprise Bag" I was kind of hoping there would be more chai than food in the package. Not a complaint though. With Too Good to Go bags, one is always taking a gamble. For $4.99, it was very good value. As it was late at night (pickup time was 10pm - 11pm) and I didn't want to put too much caffeine into our bodies, I allowed us to have a few tiny sips and then put the rest of the drink into the fridge. We finished it the next morning. The Chicken puffs and Veggie pastry we had for dinner the following day. Overall, even though it wasn't what I had hoped for, I was still very happy with the deal. Great way to try out some of the food there that I might not have thought to try otherwise. I very much enjoyed the Veggie pastry and having tried it through Too Good to Go, I can say that I enjoyed it enough to consider ordering it regular price sometime.

Their ice cream is freshly churned and you can see it churning continuously throughout the day. It's mesmerizing and I could stand at the counter for quite some time, watching the ice cream churn if it weren't for other people coming into the store, wanting to place their orders! The ice cream flavors they have number less than 10, but they are all wonderful flavors and we were impressed with the quality of the flavors that we tried. The flavors they had when we went were as follows: Rich Black Sesame, 2 Shots Espresso, Premium Earl Grey, Supreme Oolong, Uji Matcha, Creamy Mango with bits, Hokkaido "Milk", abd Very Strawberry. We ordered Premium Earl Grey and Uji Matcha ice cream, along with their Golden Peach drink. Yum, yum, and yum! No avocado in this sandwich, and whereas the breakfast wrap was supposed to have hash brown in it, there was no hash brown in this Panini sandwich. It was still a tasty sandwich though. Not the wrap I had originally had my heart set on, but it was made on Focaccia bread and I do love Focaccia bread. Plus it had melted cheese in it and that's always an attraction for me! It does have some kind of spice in it so beware if you're someone with a low tolerance level for spicy foods. Masala Chai was awesome! Overall, food and drink were good but the rating is slightly less than on my previous visits due to the lack of update to their online menu. There's limited free parking at the back for this place and the limited parking was all taken when I arrived. I found free parking on Sussex at Grange.

We ordered the Crazy for Kaya. The buns are light and fluffy. I wasn't sure what was on the side as I expected the coconut and honey jam to be inside, however, the bun is plain and you add the jam to it. We basically licked the plate clean! The young coconut and honey jam had a soft coconut flavor. It was delicious! The tea was nice and subtle. I love chai tea so I appreciated the cardamom. My husband? Not so much. Definitely check this place out. The shop is bright, clean and cheerful. What a nice way to end out visit in the city!
