Chai wagon had a station at Metrotown and it was finally time to try it despite driving past the physical location a few times. The Chai is very pleasantly spiced and so easy drinking for those who want an introduction to chai. Definitely warmed me up on a cold rainy day

This is the second visit for me. I was trying to get some snacks before I head home. I got Pistatchio Cinnamon Latte $4.50, Vada Pav $5.95, Butter Chicken Patties, $5.95, Kesar Badam Milk $4.50, Aloo Samosa $3.95, plus a Free Kheer. If you spend $25, you get free kheer. Totally worth as I think they have the best kheer in Vancouver area. It has nuts and all the good spices. Drinks were interesting, they explained that they use sweetener that's not sugar. I'm looking into it more, planning to replicate it at home. Food was tasty and was new to me. The butter chicken patties is not as saucy as I wanted it to be but understandable cause it could be soggy. Service was great, staff were very helpful in explaining the food and beverage.

    I love Chai!

Great place to satisfy your craving for Chai Tea! In addition to chai tea, they also have dessert and savory items. Their butter chicken pastries were on the spicy side for me but extra delicious when paired with chai. Though it's located on a busy intersection and seems more like a place to order takeout, I find their decor is comfy enough to sit down and finish your chai tea or munchies on a sunny or warm day. Service was excellent where their staff are patient to explain menu or offer recommendations. My favorite treat here is definitely from their chai tea selection and sometimes I would even order two different kinds because that's how much I love chai tea :)

A great spot for some evening eats - Chai Wagon is open until 11pm every day. As it was a rainy day - we decided to get a cup of chai to warm ourselves up. We decided on the 7 spice chai and it was freshly made which was nice as it hadn't been sitting out all day. Would recommend again, especially on a wet or cold day as it was a perfect way to warm up.

After having some really awesome Chai tea at the Fairmont Chateau Lake Louise hotel, we were in the hunt for another awesome cup of Chai. We searched online and found raving reviews for Chai Wagon and we decided to make a trip to check it out.  The small shop was clean and new, the owner was very hospitable, and eager to offer chai samples for us to taste. We really liked the ginger chai as it was tasty and got two cups of those. We were too full from our dinner so we didn't get to try some of their food/dessert options. If we make it to Vancouver again, we would definitely give their food a try.

What a wonderful discovery in the hype of Yaletown. This little tea bar (and don't be misled -…read moregreat coffee too) is a much better option for quality and price than some of the others around. I haven't tried the treats - because granted those are hard to compete with against local bakeries - but for my coffee or tea to go with them, this place is my first pick. The owner / barista is friendly and provides top notch service. It is also what makes me keep coming back.

This turned out to be a fantastic choice, since we had the opportunity to have a warm, spontaneous conversation with Wilson Lee, O-Cha owner and active Yaletown business/community member. I had read previous Yelp posts about the Cold Blaster, but instead decided on the Mocha Chai and Alex ordered the Candied Rooibos. Both beverages were outstanding. This is what I call a pocket cafe. Bright counter seating facing Homer, perfect for watching passersby. Of which, Wilson definitely had his regulars while we warmed up in his cafe. Their usual crafted beverage made promptly, a quick exchange, and then that person's back on their way. My question about how long has this shop been in business ended up as a memorable conversation with Wilson. He shared the details about his business, the Yaletown community, social media, travel, urban growth, his hilarious anecdote about his favorite izakaya place on Denman, and a future trip to Asia for a wedding. There was such a rapport, that we were given an open invitation to a community event Friday evening. Sadly, we weren't able to do so since we departed VanBC a day earlier due to snow. We commented on him on our drive home earlier today (2/23/18) that coincidentally we'd pass signage along I-5 South, that would say Wilson. Too cool. Small cafe, but full of warmth and genuine community pride. Yes, I was able to warm up with tasty tea, get free updated maps and travel brochures while there. But left with a lasting impression and the desire to return to Vancouver, BC much sooner than later. Thanks, Wilson! O-Cha Tea Bar in Yaletown - Highly recommended!
