The next stop on the tour was Granville Market for lunch, but as we were all taking pictures of the area, I could not get over how amazing these hot dogs smelled. We were about to move on, but I was overcome with the desire to get one of these bad boys and couldn't resist. I walked up and asked how long it would take to cook one for me, and he said it would be in my hand as soon as I handed him the money. And he took USD, so that made it really easy. The hot dog was quite large, and the bike tour leader was laughing at me for ordering it as soon as we were all about to leave, but I ate it as fast as Joey Chestnut. And it was everything I hoped it would be. The only regret is that I added some of the Garlic sauce to it, and wished I would have been a little lighter with it, because it was pretty overwhelming. My advice would be to add a sausage to your plate. The combination of the perogy, a bite of sausage and a scoop of the tomato, garlic salsa works very well!
