Updating my previous review from 3 to 4 stars, they listened and made the food spicier! Great place.

Never been to Thai land but have lived in NY and been to west coast plenty (HUGE thai populations). Chada is the only place in Denver I'll go to for authetic, spicy and oh soooo amazing food! That woman can cook like no ones business! Her son, the host on the other hand.. Not such a people pleaser. But if you're going for the food, not the host, then you'll love it! read more

Chada Thai is easy to miss among the many restaurants of 17th St. Seeing as I was in the area and looking for take-out food I decided to give Chada Thai a try. I ordered the Chicken Pad See Ew. This was probably the next best Pad See Ew I've had in Denver besides the one at Tommy's. While the restaurant has a few tables most people I saw were ordering or picking up to-go orders. Staff was friendly and price and portion size were reasonable. Glad to find another good Asian restaurant for whenever I don't feel like cooking at home! read more

It's been over 4 months since I was last there and I still think about my wonderful dinner there. My sig other and I went with a couple of friends and we ordered three appetizers, four entrees, two desserts, and three specialty drinks. Just thinking about the food that night makes my mouth water! The lovely little chef there had come out to our table and greeted us with the friendliest smile I have ever seen in my whole life! The waiters were alright but it was rather busy for a Thursday night so it was forgivable. The chef, herself, made the trip very worth it. She suggested dishes that after talking to us for a bit, she though we would like. And we loved them! There was this lettuce wrap dish with dried shrimp, lime and so many other things but the dish itself was VERY flavorful... almost intense but very delicious! Of course we had the pad thai and it was cooked to perfection. So good! What impressed me the most was this mango and sweet rice dish she makes for dessert. The mango was the most perfect mango I had ever eaten. Seriously. It was perfect. Just the right amount of sweetness and tenderness... mouthwatering! The only reason why I haven't been back there in a while is (hopefully they aren't reading this) because my sig other hates the parking. I honestly didn't think it was that bad. We walked less than a block to get there but alas, I often get the restaurant veto for downtown restaurants. Anyway- Go there! It's lovely! read more

This place is so good!! Had the pad Thai, mee krop and Thai curry and they were all wonderful. Service was a little slow but they were very busy and had only two servers. Will definitely be back on my next visit. read more

I'm really picky when it comes to Thai Food, when I moved here last October I was really disappointed by all the Thai food we tried, but finally tried here and I love it! I ordered Pud Ka Prow. I was told that mild contained NO SPICE at all so opted for a light medium. It was so dry- no sauce at all, that I was searching for something to help in swallowing. I questioned the wait person , was it always so dry? She asked if I wanted soy sauce -Really? Spice- well the light medium can sear your taste buds. I do eat thai food all the time, I have reviewed in Yelp on 2 other thai restaraunts that got huge big 5 stars. Argh.....nothing about our lunch was fun, good or redeeming. I ordered the Meang Kuam which as usual were quite delicious. However when my Snapper Hao Moak came out I was quite surprised to find the center was still frozen. When I alerted the staff I was told that it should have been temp probed first. I explained that I had just heard the microwave shut off before my food arrived and was assured it was steamed. Very disappointing to see one of my favorite Thai restaurants cutting corners. To top it off the banana leaf bowl, which sounds beautiful, is stapled together. Weird and kind gross. The gentleman working the counter just seemed annoyed and didn't even say thank you as I left. I most likely won't ever be back. read more

Extremely slow service. The server seemed unconcerned about everything taking too long. We came at lunch with a movie to catch in 45 minutes expecting to get in and out, but weren't even acknowledged for 10 minutes. There is only one cook at lunch, be advised! The decor is intimate with earthy colors. They use Styrofoam to go cups with a straw lid for to go soup. I don't see that ending well. Excellent Thai food. I had the pad si wu and it was delicious. I went for an early dinner since I was ding alone. Place was empty.

Maybe dining is is better than their deliver. Pad Thai was mashed into a brick, so dense and not a good amount of chicken.

Like the food, but was really frustrated with their service recently-- they said 20 minutes for a takeaway order, and it ended up being more like 40... pretty sure they didn't start my food until I came to pick it up. read more

I'm only leaving 3 starts because I'm trying to blend my service experience and culinary experience into one overall opinion. My friend and I arrived on a Thursday night at 5:15. We were seated promptly, as there are only 10-ish tables in the whole place and we brought the total occupied to just 3. It was easily 10 minutes before someone came to take our order, a bit long, but forgivable. My friend and I both ordered the Tom Ka soup dish...which did not come out until nearly 6pm!!! Seriously? On the bright side, the soup was amazing! My friend also ordered a to-go order of Green Curry before we left and she just notified me that it was also amazing. So, as long as you don't expect timely service and you are not absolutely starving when you get there, the meal will be worth the wait. read more

I think Chada Thai is a little over rated here on Yelp. I picked up some take out here and was very disappointed by the very small portions. The dinner entrees are all about $10 and not nearly enough food for 1 person. I ordered 3 entrees, 2 aps, and was only given 1 small portion of rice. I was then charged $4 more for 2 more small portions of rice. I will say that the food was very tasty, but way overpriced for the amount you get. The Shrimp Pad Thai had 3 small pieces of shrimp and the curry is served in a 1 pint container. The Chicken Satay came with 8 skinny skewers of chicken and a small side salad, in roughly a 3 oz. container. There is no way this "meal" could possible fill anyone up. I've had much larger portions for less money elsewhere, and I probably won't be eating at Chada Thai again just because it's not good value. read more

Food was good but it was overpriced for the tiny portions they give you. The bowl of rice they brought for 2 was not even half full.

Small mom and pop shop, pretty nice looking place but food was disappointing. My girl friend and I had the Pad Thai and the Pad See Yu, they both looked the same and tasted the same! Even the server had a hard time telling them apart when he brought it to the table. Had the Dumplings and the Chicken Satay. The Dumplings were good, but the Satay was hard and lacked flavor. The server had some issues, he was sweating profusely and was borderline rude. We just sat down and threw the menus down and walked off, 10 minutes go by before returning with water and asked " you ready to order?" had to ask twice to get my water refilled, didn't really see him much during the meal. I like to patronize local restaurants but sorry, I will not be coming back to this one. read more

First experience from this place and ordered delivery. Got pad thai and spring rolls and wasn't too impressed with either. Pad thai was super dry, all the noodles were stuck together and ripped apart when I tried to take a chopsticks worth... It was a lot of ripping and tearing, and not the good kind (zero wild women). read more

The food is excellent. The best thai food in Denver. The only downside is that there isn't vegetables with every meal. If it states vegetables, then there are will be some. The snapper cooked in banana leaves is one oft favorites! The brown rice is a little pricey, but completely different in a good way. Well worth the extra cost. read more

Prices were not that great for the portion we got. My girlfriends and I had to wait for a long time for our food. When we finally got our food, it was not hot at all, like it was sitting out for awhile. I ordered chicken pad thai and asked it to be thai hot. They did not make it remotely hot. It was super sweet. the chicken tasted old and rubbery. My girlfriends had curry and soup and said the flavors were okay but it was mostly broth. The atmosphere was not the best, boring really. We were seated by the bathroom and next to the dirty kitchen. Whenever the door opened it looked like the workers never wore gloves or washed their hands. Not sure how they pass any type of inspection. it was not a pleasant experience for us, and we were out celebrating her birthday. read more

My family and I are here from out of town and were looking for good Thai food. Yelp recommended Chada Thai and we ordered. The food was fresh, tasty, and well-prepared. I will recommend this place to anyone traveling to Denver. read more

Follow your nose to this 17th Avenue eatery! The smells on the street do it justice. Fabulous service and good food. Order hot if you like heat because the medium was mild to me. That's what I am doing next time I go, and YES I intend on going back. Very nice establishment. You I'll be glad you tried it!!! read more

The actual restaurant smells a little funky and I have heard they have been skimping on their portions but I have had some fabulous takeout from this establishment on multiple occasions. Best Thai food I've ever had in my life. Everything is fresh and made in-house. The owner is so kind and personable. We would go back just for the service even if the food was so-so. The food is absolutely delicious (i'm partial to the panang curry and the coconut ice cream with the fried banana for dessert) and reasonably priced and the service could not be better! Good entrees, the curry is great. However, without fail they will skimp you on the meat, regardless of the dish.

Overpriced, the owner is unfriendly, and it's just not that good. The veggies in my spring roll were brown and wilted. I got it to-go, and they gave me a tiny round styro of rice for my curry, about half the amount you need or that you get in the little square cartons at other places. I am a foodie. I eat and cook just about all types of food. I have been to a lot of Thai establishments in many different states and cities. This was my second visit and this place is below average. When we approached the establishment and looked at the menu, the waiter/owner acted like he did not care if we ate there or not. You wanta eat fine, if not, eh! I like my Thai food blistering hot. When I ordered the squid dish, I specifically asked for it to be as hot as they could make it. I asked for it to be screaming hot. It was medium at best. I asked for chili sauce or paste so that I could spice it up, and got sriracha sauce in a bottle. Most Thai restaurants will bring out a 3 bowl grouping of hot Chile peppers, Thai spices and Chile paste. Chada did not. Stir fry dishes are known and admired for crisp veggies. The carrots that were in my stir fry dish were either frozen or precooked. When you bit into them they squished like a potato. The flavor of the two dishes was good. We were not even offered brown rice. I will not be back. read more

I was going between 2 and 3 stars. The patio is a big plus gaining the third star. The portions are small for the price. My food was good/ decent nothing to write home about. If I was really hungry I would have had to order 2 entrees and I am a small person. If someone wanted to go here I would go again, but would definetly not pick it. this is, in my opinion, the best Thai in the City Park area of Denver. Hands down better than Thai Basel (too sweet) or Tommy's. The portions are rather small .. we always have to order appetizers, but it's nice not to have to go over to Federal. I like the curry puff appetizers and the beef salad. read more

A friend was coming by and wanted to go to Chada. She has known the owner for years. The place is small, but comfortable. The patio will be a great spot when it is a little warmer. We were seated up front by the windows. Service was attentive and prompt. The food was very good. I would have had a little hotter thai food, but overall was very good. Order the entrees to share.
