The fresh vegetables really stood out, and the deep basil flavor gave the dish so much depth and flavor. Everything tasted fresh, flavorful, and perfectly balanced. It's hard to find good Pad Thai for $12 these days. It's not 100% authentic but it's great enough for a small town like Beaumont. All ingredients were super fresh and my only recommendation would to have more tamarind paste to be used like authentic Pad Thai and for the spice to be cooked into the dish. I asked for it to be made spicy and only dried peppers were bought out. However the shrimp and tofu were beautifully cooked and seasoned. I may be spoiled with the options I have in Houston but this was good to have locally. I've been here in the past and had the papaya salad which was amazing. Stopped in for takeout while craving Thai and ordered the Pad Kee Mao, papaya salad, and egg rolls. While waiting at the bar, the bartender mentioned that the Pad Kee Mao is one of their signature dishes and is made with thin pho noodles instead of the traditional wide noodles, which I was excited to try. The takeout presentation was well done, and everything held up nicely by the time I got back to my hotel (just a short drive away). The Pad Kee Mao had good flavor and didn't disappoint, though it was a bit drier than I prefer. The papaya salad and egg rolls were both fresh and enjoyable. Service was friendly, and the dining area appeared clean and inviting. I'd return and would simply request extra sauce next time. Looking forward to trying more from their menu. read more

We stopped for lunch on a road trip based on a recommendation and we are glad we did. The food was excellent - everything was flavorful and fresh. Both the duck curry and green curry had lots of tender meat and the sauce was rich and spicy. The fried rice portion size was huge and it was delicious, with a lovely hint of smokiness from being cooked at high heat. The garden roll (think spring roll) was full of crisp veggies and the peanut sauce was outstanding. Our server didn't seem very happy, but she was efficient. The decor was nice but some of the furnishings were a bit worn. We would definitely return if in the area. read more

Pretty good food but the restaurant needs some updating/repairs This was the first restaurant I've been to in beaumont and, with it being a chilly night, I decided that soup or curry would be the best option (or both!) Food: We ordered several dishes. The fried dumplings were good. Not the most flavorful but you can't go wrong with dumplings. I did notice some of the appetizers (like the spring rolls and steamed dumplings) were different at this restaurant than any other Thai one I've been too so definitely read the descriptions. We also ordered the typhoon soup. It was a bit spicy for my taste but good. My mom loved it ! The green curry with tofu was amazing ! Definitely the best dosh of the night. The eggplant was ok. The sauce flavor didn't seem to fit with the eggplant. Drinks: The Thai tea was delicious ! And a huge cup too! Definitely the right choice There were 2 flavors of hot tea which were just teabags. Also the water smelled like sink water/not fresh. Definitely wouldn't recommend Parking: It's in a shopping center so there's tons of parking. We went on a Saturday night and the lot was pretty open. Design/interior: The inside is pretty dated. We were sitting in one of the booths and the vinyl bench seats were very warn/ripped. They also had pretty much no cushion. There also was a bathroom-y smell right when you walk in but that was only right at the front. It didn't bother our eating experience at the booth They do also have happy hour for drinks and appetizers. They also have a drink list with wine and cocktails as well as a full bar. read more

My chicken pad thai was not good at all. I asked for extra seasoning to no avail. My husband had the sweet and sour. He liked the taste of it and the steamed dumplings. Our service Annie did not notice or acknowledge that my food was not eaten. Either her social cues are off or she just didn't care. The mojito and plum wine were both awesome! Came here based on a recommendation last night. To my delight I learned that they had happy hour so I indulged myself with some hot sake and a bottle of Sapporo. During happy hours, there was a list of appetizers for $3 so I decided to try one of the orders. I first asked the waitress if the gyoza was made in house and she seemed to be taken aback by my question. From what I gathered it did not seem like the gyozas were made in house so I instead went and ordered "spring rolls". While enjoying my beverage, I ordered the Pad Kee Mao and the waitress said that it would be spicy and so I went ahead and ordered it. To my dismay, when the spring rolls arrived... what I actually received was 3 egg rolls instead. If I knew that I wouldn't have ordered it at all. On to the taste of the spring roll, it was crunchy with what seemed like a nice filled egg roll. The sauce was tasteless but the egg roll by itself was good. When the entree arrived, I was looking forward to it as the person that recommended the place to me said I should order this dish. To my disappointment, the dish had zero kick in heat and was overall pretty salty. The shrimps were tiny and the vegetables were cut unevenly. There were maybe a couple few piece of broccoli in it as well. The portion size was big and I was definitely full after finishing my meal. The curry is phenomenal! It has a very chill atmosphere and the tables are cool. The service is good!

It was decent. We got three different dishes. The prik king was by far the tastiest although it could have used more vegetables. It was all green beans with the sauce (and whatever meat you choose). The calamari was adequate. The drunken noodle could have used a lot more flavor but still had decent enough broth. The shrimp fried rice was without flavor, which was disappointing. Although, the staff took precautionary measures for health and safety during these times. The parking lot is large as it shares a lot with several other businesses so you shouldn't have trouble finding a spot. Chaba is conveniently located in a strip mall, so that means there's always a parking spot! You don't have to worry about ticket validation or getting a ticket for an expired meter. That's a plus. The restaurant was not crowded when I came one Sunday around noon. It was clean and very well decorated. They have a small bar to the right when you first walk in, and I believe they have a good selection of wine and liquor. What I found most unique about Chaba is the setting options. They have a lounge like waiting or maybe drinking area with comfortable chairs. They also have sitting on the floor on a cushion and your legs hang in the carved out space under the table. I love the concept and I've never seen a Thai restaurant with seating such as that. Now, the waiter was not having a good day. She was neither warm nor friendly, but she was definitely quick and attentive. That's why I didn't give chaba 5 stars. The food came very quickly! And oh boy, was it fresh!!! I enjoyed every bite. The fried rice kee mao was mildly spicy, but it did have one next to it's name. I usually prefer my Thai food very spicy, so the spices were barely noticeable to me. The fried rice is an excellent choice. When the bill comes, the tip percentage is calculated for you, so put away your calculator. If I'm ever in Beaumont, Texas again, I will go out of my way to come here again. Can't wait. read more

I love the food here. The ambiance is great. Spacious and very trendy. They have a huge bar and a great selection of food. My favorites are the pad kee Mao. This is the best I've ever eaten. I can't find it like this anywhere else. Perfect texture of noodles and tons of meat and veggies. Seasoning is always top notch. The thai tea is a must if you love thai tea. I always get a Togo cup for the road. The papaya salad is good too. Be sure to ask for extra spicy and Laos style if you like the authentic one. read more

And the shrimp for both the pad Thai and the papaya salad were over cooked snd just like hard rubber. Just how I like my green curry. Hot and spicy but just enough to give you a good numbing feeling on your tongue. My bf tried one of the noodles (pad se ew I think) and it didn't look that appetizing. I laughed at the amount of noodles given but my bf didn't want to say anything cause we both knew that they would charge a couple of dollars for a small scoop of extra rice... This place is one of the very few Thai places they have in Beaumont if not the only one. I think it'll be better for you to spend your money in Houston Thai restaurants but this will do when you have a sudden crave for Thai in the Beaumont area :) read more

A superior example of what Thai cuisine should taste like. The cocktails selection is on point with skilled bartenders. Try the Sazerac. As for the food; The Num Tok salad is my favorite. That chili lime dressing is very pleasing. I forgot the name of the chicken and coconut milk soup with spice but that is just savory for sick days. The curry is packed full of flavors and the favorites with noodles, veggies, and meats are also packed with flavors. As for appetizers we really enjoy the prawn rolls.
