New (to Canada) Thai bubble tea chain. Parking is horrendous here. Best to take SkyTrain. As I came not long after their grand opening, the business was still working out the kinks. The electronic ordering screens weren't working yet, and the ventilation system wasn't quite functional (the inside was so humid that the glass windows were fogging up). Really didn't help that the inside was completely packed. Staff were friendly and actually Thai, which was a pleasant surprise. I had their classic Thai tea, and it was actually pretty good I must say. Yes it's run of the mill, but it did taste pretty authentic. Here's to hoping they do well. Will be back to try another flavour at some point.

We visited Cha Tra Mue which is a bubble tea shop from Thailand. What we got: Thai Tea Oolong milk tea Thai tea is signature menu, and partner got oolong milk tea. I did not try oolong milk tea, according to my partner, it was much sweeter than he expected. Oolong flavor was weak because of a lot of ice. My thai tea also had the same issue. First of all, flavor was weak because of too much ice, and much sweeter than I expected. The worst part was I had stomach upset after drinking it. Last time I got the same tea, it was very decent, flavor was much stronger and sweetness was ok. I think it depends on who prepared the drink.

Was really looking forward to finally to try Cha Tra Mue and was happy I was around the area to finally make a visit! The store had a pretty steady traffic and wait was not long at all - about 5 mins from ordering to getting our order. We ended up just ordering the soft serve and enjoyed it at the store. There were a few tables available. The soft serve flavour was a bit lighter than I thought it would be and has more of a creamy texture. I was really hoping for a more icy soft serve texture but may have to try their slushie next time. Overall it was okay but I was really hoping for more.

Although they just opened, our order took 45 mins from getting into line to receiving drinks in hand. Not bad of a wait, but could be faster. The workers moved with no urgency. The place was PACKED inside with no room to move after you order. Something that can be fixed with a little bit of time! Ordered the Thai tea with boba and it was fantastic. I got half sweet and it was just right for me, as i don't like things super sweet but still not bland. I'd recommend getting the thai tea, but not sure if it's worth a 45 min wait.

I tried the green tea and the thai tea here! Both are great, I would say the difference between them is that the Thai tea has more vanilla notes while the green tea has a more floral taste. I would recommend both! The only thing to be cautious about is their sweetness level, get 30%. I tried the drinks at 70% and 30% and would say that 70% is definitely too sweet.

i really liked this! if you get 30% sugar and less ice it won't be too sweet/ watered down. i got the thai green milk tea ($6.50) and it was a pretty large drink. it had very strong floral hints in addition to the strong thai tea taste. overall very delicious and i can't wait to come back and try their soft serve!

Parking can be a bit tricky -- if you're lucky, you might find street parking right out front. With limited space inside, expect a line outside if there are more than a few people ahead of you. We ordered the Earl Grey Matcha, Earl Grey Flat White, and a Pastéis de Nata. The drinks took about five minutes to prepare, and the staff worked efficiently. Their menu seems to rotate seasonally, so you might find limited-time or specialty flavors depending on when you visit. As for the drinks, they were just okay in my opinion. The flat white was quite strong, and while it included Earl Grey syrup, the flavor didn't come through as clearly as expected. The Pastéis de Nata was decent -- not too sweet, but a bit dense. Overall, prices are reasonable for what you get. Worth a visit if you're curious about their seasonal offerings.

My sister talked up their frozen matcha here and it delivered! I got the frozen matcha that they are known for and I added a little of the passion fruit syrup which is actual fruit. This was excellent. They also do the traditional strawberry as well. They also had the best cardamom bun I've ever had. Truly a must visit if you live here or you're visiting. The way they do the frozen matcha is amazing. Truly epic.

The only good frosted donut I have ever eaten with complete wonderment. (Actually, I have not had that many good donuts in over 72 years of donut eating. I am not sure how cops on break tolerate the average American or Canadian donut. But thank god, they eat them so I don't have to.) But I would eat donuts all day and all night at 49th Parallel. Brownie points for convenience. My husband ordered a double espresso and in true men's fashion claimed it to be "solid". I ordered the maple sea salt shaken espresso and it was *chefs kiss*. If you are a sweet and salty lover, get it! It won't disappoint you. We also ordered the Doug sandwich and the Avo sandwich. Don't let the looks fool you as the sandwiches' appearances fall kind of short. However, both sandwiches were delicious. Starbucks could never. ‍ The Doug Sandwich - a full bodied sandwich consisting of scrambled eggs, bacon, cheddar cheese, caramelized onions and tarragon aioli. I thought this sandwich would be too heavy, but the brioche bun is light and the scrambled eggs are really fluffy. The Avo Sandwich - a lighter sandwich featuring fried egg, avocado, cheddar cheese, sun dried tomato pesto, tarragon aioli and mixed greens. Also a good choice! The cafe was clean and they have a water dispenser available for customers. Service was ok, but I think they were just a bit busy.
