Receipt of what I ordered the red curry lunch special.
Dara D.

Ordered the red curry lunch special. Found a piece of black hair tucked inside the rice after almost finishing the meal. Now, before someone says it might have been my hair (i have black hair), the hair was freakin doing cartwheels in the rice. There was no way it was my hair. I told the server and he took it back and ask if I was a ok with a discount. I'm thinking cool, half off or something since I ate most of it. Bill came back and took off only 20%... $2.59 off!! WTF. Anyway food was mediocre, Ive had better red curry. The flavor was ok, a little sour for it being curry. It tasted more like tom yum broth. I didnt get a chance to take a photo of the meal with the hair. Would I come again? Ehhh, only if i was really craving thai food.

Service was amazing super friendly and helpful in helping decide what to get. The pad Thai was a good portion and delicious, the side of rice and soup was an addition. The mango sticky rice was on point.

I was craving chicken Pad See Ew. And after reading reviews and it being the closest to work I went with this place. I could have saved my $16. Definitely disappointed. The noodles were dry. Not much flavor. Most likely will not be coming back. The lady in the front was kind though.

Cha Cha Cha! Really good Thai food. Some of my favorites are the mango sticky rice, veggie rolls, shrimp rolls, and Thai tea. My husband loves the curry dishes here and the fried rice. Today, I tried the silver noodles, fried shrimp, and cream cheese wontons. Fried shrimp 10/10 This was delicious! Nice batter and crunch. Good amount of shrimp! Cream cheese wontons 10/10 You get a lot of cream cheese! That's awesome. The wontons are super crispy and thin. I wish the batter and thickness was different. But the amount of cream cheese filing is great. The silver noodles 8/10 Not bad! These are fun, thin noodles. I ordered with tofu. I liked the dish. Not obsessed with it. But it's a decent tofu dish. Thai tea 100/10 You read that right lol I put 100 on purpose. This is the best Thai tea ever! It's so sweet and delightful!!! Service is always good. We get utensils included on deliver orders. Everything is packaged well. Ambiance, this is your typical restaurant. We prefer to order delivery though.

Amazing! Quick review for a nice mom & pop Thai restaurant. Great local diner with great food. Pros: - Cozy, quiet atmosphere - Good service - Yellow curry was delicious & I found myself drinking the curry with a spoon - Fried rice was perfection - Pad see ew was standard, pretty good Cons: - I did not encounter any negative aspects during my experience here I think Cha Thai deserves a higher overall rating on Yelp, but I can only speak for my short, 1-time experience here

They were really nice! The food was served pretty quickly and the tables are nice and clean. The food was delicious. Its a bit pricy, but good enough to be like "hey I'm willing to pay that" you know? Their mango sticky rice is so cute! We ordered the pad see ew with shrimp and the combination fried rice. No complaints. Make sure to ask for their spicy sauce, its delish!!

If you're looking for delicious Thai food this place is worth a shot. Super cute environment, small mom and pop. Authentic food. Delicious Thai tea with a cute bear in it. Can't wait to come back

I've been going this place for years and love it until this happened. My coworker bought the tom yum shrimp soup and I got the drunken noodle spice and few other coworkers got lunch specials. My dish came out ok, little burnt, but I didn't mind... BUT.. my coworker soup had a bug in it . Being courtesy we call the restaurant to let them know so that they're aware and be more careful. The next thing you know the guy who called himself "the cooker" start yelling at my cowoker. So unprofessional very disrespectful. Then asked my cowoker to send the picture and we did. Then he said this is not a bug and it was just red chilies.. Brotha... Red chilies DOESN'T have Legs OKIIE.. ... YOU GUYS LOOK at the picture please if this is red chilies or a bug... SUPER DISAPPOINTED at this place. Then he said are we sure that it came from the soup... like what?!? And then he said Fk... This is so unacceptable. Poor cowoker so nice and didn't yell or cus back.. I think he was just too shock of what happened and the whole thing. I love here but... Unfortunately we will never come back here again.

Came here today with my boyfriend after he had lunch here the other day and said the food was really good. We ordered chicken panang curry, spicy drunken noodles with chicken, and mango sticky rice. Everything was so delicious, the restaurant was clean and chill the service was amazing!! I will definitely be back and recommend giving it a try!

Spicy Thai Fried Rice with Pork
Kaylie C.

The best thai restaurant in OC!!!!! I got som tum, spicy thai fried rice and pad thai. I've never had this good thai fried rice in SoCal.. Their som tum has the perfect flavor too - Perfectly sweet, sour, and savory!!! Oh and I have to mention that they have all the flavorful thai sauces My favorite is the thai pepper with fish sauce. If you order som tum and fried rice at the same time, plz try putting the som tum soup on the rice. It gets even tastier The server lady was super nice and friendly too :) She kept checking on us if we were doing fine.

I stopped by for an early dinner on my way back to San Diego last weekend. My friend and I each got the bulgogi garlic noodles (I added the egg but for $2.50 not sure it added a lot of flavor or value to the dish), shared the wings and an order fries. I also ordered a Vietnamese coffee on the cashier's recommendation--good suggestion, nice flavor without an overpowering amount of sugar. The wings were fantastic. Fries were fair, good portions and flavorful. I liked the noodles but weren't blown away. Everything was very soft, not a lot of textural change. The portion was generous with lots of bulgogi beef. The service was great--friendly and responsive. They have a small lot which was fine at 530pm on Sunday but probably problematic at lunch or normal dinner hours. My one complain was dirty dining room. Maybe it was just after the lunch rush, but the tables and floor could have used some wiping and the trash cans were full. Nice easy meal stop off the freeway at Orange.

Afterwards, the owner stopped by to say hi and since it was our first visit, he gave us shots for the whole table. Very kind of him. Food was great - we ordered a couple of things to share including the 6100 blue corn sourdough, chicken oysters, pork belly, spring onion pancake, and pork, please and prawn fried rice. My personal favorite was the fried rice, but everything else was tasty too! We also got dessert which was the pandan butterscotch pudding - yummy! Service was wonderful. They were attentive and kind and quick. They brought out some birthday ice cream for the two birthday girls in the party. Ambiance was great. It could be intimate and romantic for couples but also great for celebrations or large groups. I enjoyed sonder very much and will definitely visit again particularly due to their excellent service!

We came with reservations on Saturday night before Mother's Day. The first thing I thought when I walked in was that there was a live band playing with bad speakers because the music was so loud. But when I saw there was no band, I thought maybe their speakers were broken because the music had that scratchiness to it. Then I realized it was a DJ spinning vinyls with foreign music from the 1950's with that scratchy vintage sound on full blast (think shrill trumpets and shrill voices.) Now don't get me wrong, the music was wonderful and very unique ( again, a lot of foreign songs) with a few I even knew...my husband and I loved most of the songs that were played. HOWEVER not when it's so loud that we can't even hear our own thoughts! I felt annoyed within the first 5 minutes of being seated when my family and I had to keep repeating ourselves, and my husband even went to check the rest of the place to see if it was any quieter anywhere else, but it was blaring music everywhere. I ended up ordering for my whole table of 8 people because we couldn't even hear each other over the music to make suggestions on what to order. My adult kids (all in their 20's) kept apologizing for recommending this place for my mother's day dinner. But oh my, the food was delicious---practically everything I ordered was amazing! OMG the hangar steak skewers, pork belly skewers, iberico pork secreto steak, little gem salad, and their bread with goatmilk -butter were my faves! We also had the short ribs and the pork fried rice with prawns but they were mid...nothing to write home about. This would've been a great place to come have a drink at the bar for happy hour or even late at night on a weekend since they open until 1am on thursday, friday, saturday... but don't come for dinner unless you bring earplugs and learn sign language or know how to read lips because there will be no conversations over dinner unless it's just to the person sitting next to you. Even so, I noticed the young couple next to us looking very annoyed-- they got up and left after quickly finishing up their one cocktail while the speakers blared out an instrumental piece of a girl moaning the whole time until she climaxed. Heck---I'll have whatever SHE'S having lol So plz keep the music down several notches until after 10pm, and let the rest of us enjoy our dinner so that we can sing praises on how delicious everything was. Until you do, I think I'll cross this place off my list for now and revisit again sometime in the FAR future.

They don't have many table to seat large parties (3+) they mostly have bar seating and the booth seating is pretty tightly packed so just a heads up that if you have a larger party you might need to wait longer. Luckily I got sat in their few middle tables that were spacious. I was able to order quickly and the workers are nice and gave me recommendations. Passion fruit green tea and this was definitely my favorite thing I ordered that day the drink was so light, refreshing, flavorful, but not too sweet the passion fruit seeds being in the drink was annoying though. (4/5) Spicy XLB they came out quick but I wished they were hotter they were just warm but delicious flavor and filling sadly was not spicy though no kick no heat at all. (3/5) Beef rolls nice and crispy lots of scallions and the cucumbers added a nice fresh aspect and crunch but needed more sauce. (3/5) Pan fried dumplings took the longest to come out were crispy but not that flavorful again very filling though. (2/5) Golden prime beef noodle soup I'm sorry but this was just not for my taste at all I can't even describe what flavor the soup was something I have never had before very unique. The noodles were nice and chewy but again I'm expecting soup to be hot but it just came out warm. (1/5) They had some sauce and chili oil on the table and I made a mix but it did not help add flavor to any of the items. I ordered too much and the leftover beef rolls and pan fried dumplings reheated well in the air fryer.

The finger foods was Asian‑inspired, with flavors like black sesame, curry, and other creative twists that made each bite feel unique. Every piece was thoughtfully made, rich, and decadent without feeling repetitive, and the presentation was beautiful across the board. It definitely felt like a more elevated, modern take on afternoon tea. The tea itself, however, fell a bit short for me. I ordered a non‑caffeinated chrysanthemum tea, which unfortunately didn't have much depth or flavor. My friend's Darjeeling was better, but still not as rich or complex as I've had elsewhere. Given how strong the Asian inspiration is in the food, it would've been nice to see more thoughtful decaf tea options in that same direction, like decaf sencha, barley tea, or kuromamecha, to better match the concept. Price: The afternoon tea service is prix fixe at around $45 per person, which includes a curated set of savory bites, desserts, and a pot of tea. For the quality and creativity of the food, the price feels pretty reasonable compared to other OC tea services, though the tea itself didn't quite meet the same level as the food. Ambiance: The space is bright, warm, and inviting, with a nice amount of natural sunlight coming in that makes it feel cozy rather than stuffy. There are subtle Asian design elements woven into the décor, giving it a modern, slightly upscale feel without being overly formal. It's a great spot to catch up with friends and linger over tea. Service: Service was good, friendly, welcoming, and attentive without being overbearing. Even during a busy service, staff remained kind and approachable, which added to the overall relaxed vibe. Parking: Parking can take a bit of effort. Since it's located on a busy street in Orange, you may need to circle around the roundabout or park a little farther away and walk over. Not impossible, but definitely something to plan for, especially on weekends.
